Yesterday Sarah Deforest hosted our meeting and
potluck at the Chico State Farm.

We purchased these new activity handout for the kid's
programs we participate in threw the year. They
were created by the Kern county Cattlewomen's and
the Fence Post Country Reader.

This is a sample of the new billboards that the
Cattlemen and Cattlewomen are putting up around
the county. They look nice and to the point.
Sarah is also our unites Beef Ambassador Chair
and held the competition for our county at the farm.
We had seven students participate, they sat in on our
meeting while they each waited their turn.
The Beef Ambassador program is a speaking
competition held at the high school level,
and highlights the positive impact the cattle
industry has on our economy and families.
It trains youth to speak not only to members of
the industry but to critics and the media, by
education them on facts and dispelling myths.
Each states winner gos on to the
National Beef Ambassador Competition.
