SOS - time for presents

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about the presents.  Whether it is a card showing presents or a card for thanking the people that got you the gifts, we want to see it.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Holly and Ivy

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use Christmas plants and/or greenery on your project - trees, boughs and mistletoe etc.  I went very simplistic for my greenery on this one because, well, everyone wants a hippopotamus for Christmas - especially one with mistletoe.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS -Shine Bright Like A Diamond

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called Shine bright like a Diamond - we are to bling up a project or use something representing light like a candle, lightbulb or the sun.  I made this clean and simple card with the cutest little lamp die...clean and simple is not something I excel at as I possess the "too much" gene and often don't know when enough is enough and feel that more is better.  But I really like the way this one turned out. SOS - Buttons, bows and ...

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use buttons, bows, eyelets, brads or ribbons..all of those old school embellishments laying around your craft area...let's bring them back to life.  What's old is new again, right?  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - I only have eyes for you

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is " I only have eyes for you - use googly eyes or prominent eyes" on your project.  I chose a cool dog with sunglasses and a phrase referring to sight to try and get all aspects of this challenge...and then I threw in some googly eyes just because.  Play along with us, will you?

ATC - Spooky

 This month's challenge at A Tiny Craft is to make something sppookkkyyy...what is more spooky than bugs and poison on this creepy month of halloween?  Play along with us, will you (if you dare).

SOS - frightfully delightful

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is frightfully delightful - a challenge featuring something spooky or creepy - I chose a zombie.  I don't really do halloween cards, so I tried to find something that would be more useable in my life - thank you cards never go wrong.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Leaf me alone

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called leaf me alone.  As you can guess, leaves are the object of this challenge.  I chose not to do fall leaves for this one as fall is already here and that means winter is around the corner...and I am dreading it.  Play along with us, will you?

ATC - September Snark

 This months challenge at A Tiny Craft is to use a snarky sentiment on your trading card.  As I donate mine to the lunch program for school age children, I had to keep it on the "clean" side of snarky (boo)...as clean as bird poop can be anyway.  What school age kid doesn't find poop funny? SOS - Hello Ombre

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use ombre colour on your card.  I chose to do ombre from the centre out to make a dramatic sunset.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Animal Antics

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about animal antics - Images of animals doing human type activities.  I chose bunnies figure skating...not something you would find in nature, but so cute either way.  Play along with us this week, will you?

SOS -Back to books

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use books, book pages or anything back to school.  I love any opportunity to use this Altenew stamp set as it is one of my absolute favourites.  It totally reminds me of one of my daughters when she was little.  Play along with us, will you?

A Tiny Craft - remembering Lindsey

 This month at A Tiny Craft we are celebrating the life of one of our own design team members - Lindsey who passed this past month.  I didn't know her well as I just started working with her on this design team and am really saddened that I didn't get to work with her more and get to know her better.  She had an awesome clean and simple style and loved cats.  This is what I focused on when making my cards this week.  They will be donated to our food bank breakfast program in her memory to keep her crafting style alive.  She will surely be missed by many.  Play along with us this month, will you?

SOS - she sells sea shells by the sea shore

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "She sells sea shells by the sea shore" - using anything beachy or ocean related. I loved making this oceany background out of a variety of blue papers from pink and main.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - What the heck embellishments

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to find some strange embellishments in your stash and use them up.  The older and more mismatched the better.  I found a bag of random embellishments in my cupboard that came from a swap or something (and have moved with me for two houses and never been opened or even looked at) and they are really vintage looking and a style that I don't generally do well.  I tried to use up as many as possible on this card.  I am so not a vintage collage making person.  Even my husband said that maybe this card should not go to a person. Hahahah....he is usually super supportive on my card making so I know it is pretty uggers.  Oh well....they can't all be great, I guess.  Play along with us, will you?

ATC - cats and dogs

 This month's challenge at A Tiny Craft is to use cats and/or on your trading cards.  I used some super cute Tim Holtz crazy dogs for this challenge with some water colour techniques.  So much fun making these.  

SOS - Blending in

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is all about blending in - with ink blending that is.  I love ink blending and I use it all the time.  This card features a fun rainbow blend with a resist technique.  One of my all time faves.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Gnomes

 This week at Shopping our Stash is all about hanging with the gnomies - using a gnome on your project somewhere.  Gnomes are a large obsession of mine and are everywhere in my life...card making, decorating and gardening.  I made just a few cards for this challenge because I couldn't decide which one to make so I did for every season.  Play along with us, will you?

A Tiny Craft - Anything Tim

 This month's challenge at A Tiny Craft is to use anything Tim Holtz or with his essence...I used distress oxide inks and distress inks and distress oxide sprays  - and of course the crazy birds...who can resist those guys?  Play along with us, will you?

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a funny Father's Day card.  I went for some puns for mine because that is how we roll in our house.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - Make mine a tall one

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a slimline or mini slimline card for your project.  I am just starting to get in to the mini slimline trend but have been making regular slimline cards since the beginning of time...that is where I actually started out with my card making...funny how everything comes full circle, isn't it?  I did a mini card today to change it up a bit.  Play along will you?

ATC - Tiny Craft - flowers

 This week's challenge at A Tiny Craft is flowers.  We still don't have any flowers where I live but today I saw the first leaf buds on our earliest leafing tree showed up over night.  Yay - me may just get spring yet. And what is a better sign of spring than those beautiful flowers?  I make my ATC cards for the breakfast program and thought these may just brighten up some little ones' days.  Play along, will you?

SOS - The power of pastel

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "the power of pastels" and I am not going to lie.  This is my least favourite colour palette to work in of all time.  Pastels make my skin crawl.  I have no idea why but I do not like creating with pastel.  But today I went out of my comfort zone and I did it...with almost every pastel in the rainbow.  Play along with us, will you?

ATC - A Tiny Craft - bunny love

 This month's challenge at A Tiny Craft is to make some trading cards with Bunny images on them.  I have this super cute bunny from Colorado Crafts that was dying to have some ink on it so that is what I played with this time around.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - under the weather

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is weather related - or being under the weather.  You can use any weather related theme or get well soon cards.  I did a bit of both with these cards. The nice sunshine and rainbows makes me have some hope that spring will be here soon.  Hopefully we can be done with snow and ice soon enough.  Play along with us, will you?

SOS - spread your wings it's spring

 This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use something with wings on your project to show that spring is on it's way.  We don't have many signs of spring here other than some sunshine.  We have tons of snow here still and we are still going down to -26 C at night.  This has been the longest winter in years so it is great to have a feeling of spring inside.  Play along with us, will you? 

A Tiny Craft - Masculine

 This month's challenge at A Tiny Craft is to make your ATC cards using a masculine theme.  I went for dark and metallic with woodgrain paper.  I don't think I get more masculine looking than that.  Play along with us, will you?

jingle belles - stencils

 Playing along with the Jingle Belles this week with their stencil challenge.  This card was fun to make.  I used a Simon Says Stamps stencil that is 4 layers to make this card.  I am really loving the layering stencils.  I am glad I got this one done...there was so much gluing lol.
