Beach Day

We had a beach day with Johnny's siblings, Jim, Jordan, Sydney, and Shannon.  We went to Corona Del Mar and there was tons of seaweed and bugs!  It was super sandy, but we had a lot of fun.  It was pretty cold for a beach day, but fun to get down to the coast and enjoy the waves!
The fun part was watching everyone swim out in the ocean - we're glad Shannon made it!  I'm glad I did not go - too cold and I would have died swimming in the ocean. Too Far!

Crazy Flower

So, with having a yard we have the joy of having food growing in it!  We have been eating all sorts of stuff and one of the most interesting plants was the artichoke plant.  It started blooming last week with crazy purple flowers.  Enjoy!

Hike

I went on a hike with my Dad in Carbon Canyon last weekend and he was very eager to see the Redwood Trees.  We decided to take Bentley, walked to the trail and there was a sign that said no Dogs!  So, I carried her the whole way. Once we got to the Redwoods, my Dad was a little disappointed with their small size and how perfectly they were aligned in this park.   I think it was a little fake for him!  We talked to a few people who had dogs on a neighboring trail and they pointed us to another trail that we could let Bentley walk. She was very eager to get down and whined a little bit.  We passed by the big dam and from there walked back to our car.  I did manage to see a warning sign for mountain lions - thank goodness we did not run into any!  Bentley and I would have been great bait!

Dog Beach

I don't think I posted these, but we went to Dog beach a few weeks ago. Bentley did not like it!  It was pretty funny.  She liked all the dogs and sand, but she did not like the water.

Dogs and M&Ms

Yesterday, I decided to take a nap and Johnny was outside mowing the lawn.  He thought the dog was in sleeping with me and I thought she was downstairs sleeping with Johnny.  The phone rang and I woke up realizing the dog was missing!  We found her in Jamie's room (our roomie right now) eating a whole bag of peanut butter M&Ms.  We took her to the vets and they made her throw it up for the next 30 mins.  We were pretty mad on the way over, but when the vet gave her back to us with an orange candied snout which crud all over her beard, we had to laugh.  I wish I got a picture but it was kind of disgusting and I washed it off as soon as we got home.  That was our Saturday, but one of our cheapest vet visits ever.  And she was a happy camper after her throw up session - like nothing had happened. I doubt she learned her lesson because it tasted so good.

The 100 % Club

Johnny, on Medium and we think medium is hard! Anyway, johnny got a 100% on guitar hero witha 596 note streak - which is amazing. I couldn't believe he did it - I was not present, hence the pictures. Jim was there to witness the event.
That night I sat down and was able to join the 100% club and get the 596 note streak. This is monumental moment for the Rosell Family and the game of guitar hero.
Maybe next month, we'll try hard....maybe.

Cupcakes

Last Weekend, Johnny wanted to go surfing and then we were going to meet
up with my parents at the beach later. We were there about 10 mins when we thought Johnny had broken his finger. So, we packed up and by the time we got to the car, the swelling had gone down and we didn't think it was broken anymore. We decided to head home and pack it in ice just in case. On the way home, we picked up some cupcakes and Johnny even got one for Bentley. She was chowing it down so fast we had to stop her and cut the pieces smaller - she has an amazing talent for choking. The cupcake was kind of hard and had carob on top - no chocolate! She really loved it.
We had a great weekend even with the finger mishap!
