Sowing the seeds of.....

Image
No not Love , sowing seeds for pumpkins, spring onions, carrots, tomatos , potatoes, runner beans & peppers. lets see how many survive in this house. I manage to kill most house plants so lets see how the veggies do :) I popped over to ann's this afternoon and stopped to take a few pics on my way. This is a piece of modern art that was errected in harlow about 5yrs ago, i drive past it on my to work each morning, it is supposed to be a bumblebee smelling a flower. Then as we got nearer to ann's we stopped again. I have driven past this church so many times and today decided to actually stop and take a look. The vicar came out for a chat, Apparently the church is only one of two of this design in the world and it was built in 1835. The clock no longer works becasue somebody stole the mechanism (is nothing sacred anymore!!!). Anyway onwards to Ann's. Inspired by both ann and rach i bought some seed trays and more seeds to add to our small veggie pots of runner b...

Happy Easter!!!

Image
Well we have returned from visiting Jane in Norfolk, in between freezing cold winds, hail and snow plus the odd sunny period we visited cromer beach and blickling hall. All 5 little ones decided to camp out on the living room floor with the cats which was so funny to see and i think they all had a great time. I know that i did :) We awoke this morning to a blanket of snow here in Essex but in true UK weather style, it was melting by lunchtime and then out can the sun and its all gone. But there was just enough this morning to make SID the Snowman. Also i have signed up for Shimelle's There is no place like home class which starts tomorrow , pop over to here blog and have a look at £10 is a bargain:) No place like home Ok i am off for a hot bath and an evening of CSI. More Ouch!!!

Image
OK this is the latest injury for James, to match his colourful green bruised nose he now has a black eye. In PE at school he colided with another child whilst playing tag. He looks like he has been ten rounds with a boxer, bless him.

its sunday....

ok summary of the end of my week. A phone call from the school at 3pm friday to inform e that james had fallen off the climbing frame at school and had bumped his nose, ok i think james being the most accident prone person in the world this is quite normal. then the phone rings again and its the ex hubby who had picked them all up from school, panicking as usually as james has a huge nose. So he informs me that i need toleave work and meet him at the A&E dept. So i leave work and meet him there where he leaves the twins with me and takes george for some dinner. his reason is that he cant cope with children and hospitals, so its left for me to deal with again. The hospital were great, we were seen in under 10mins and they also got an ENT nurse to come and see him, they confirmed that it is definitely broken and there is not much they can do for it. once the swelling goes down i have to take him back to be checked again. James just sat there and let them do what they needed wit...

Mother's Day!

Image
Happy Mothers day to all mums, nans and rara's xxx Mothers Day is a hard one for me, i lost my mum 8 years ago this aug, and i always hope that it might just get a little eaiser as the years go past, but not really, a silent tear is always shed. But, I was woken this morning at 5.50 (roll on teenage years when they sleep in) to having my picture taken and to have cards and presents handed to me, how sweet i hear you say! yes it was but not in the middle of the night!!! After the card and present opening, they all climbed into my bed and watched playhouse disney and i snoozed on and off until 7.30am. I also deleted all the pictures that George had taken of me, all except this one which i will share. I also took pic of my pressies and cards. they made cards at school, and breakfast club plus their dad got me one from them. They bought me a huge glass vase that i was after and a chocolate plaque and a box of chocs which they have eaten most of lol. Oh well off to lay on sofa and veg t...

It's march???

Image
Ok where is this year flying too??? Is it really march already!!! Well just a few more pics of flowers to share, i love spring flowers. I bought myself some tulips as they were mega cheap in Tesco. Yesterday i attended the twins school mothers day assembly. They had painted a picture of their mum and held it up in front of the school and parents and said what their mums do for them. James hid at the back but i heard him say that I got him up in the mornings, and Charli proudly shouted that i help her cook cakes. The paintings were almost human so i was quite pleased, the school do not allow photography in the assemblies and the pictures are being kept at school until later in the term, so i cant share them with you. Oh well washing up is calling, have a great evening xxx
