Canada!

My daughter in the winery we visited near Lake Ontario
The best doughnuts we tried so far in the US!
A view on the beautiful Horseshoe Falls in Canada
we are getting closer and closer....
Hubby and I are soaked but what a thrill!
We were on a boat like this one!!

We went on a trip to Canada for a long weekend. We left by car and made our first US road trip with our own car LOL!!! After 8.5 hours we arrived in Niagara Falls where we met our (Dutch) friends from Ireland, as well as our Dutch/Irish friends who moved from Dublin to Toronto last year. We had a wonderful time over the weekend, talked a lot, had a few lovely meals and enjoyed the scenery. We went on the Maid of the Mist and came very close to the Falls. Amazing what a thrill to be on that boat and go up to the Falls. We got very wet! :-) We came home yesterday evening and next week we get visitors for 2 weeks and will go to Washington DC for a couple of days. I have been looking at mapquest and informed my husband we will make a slight detour on our way back home to visit Needlecraft Corner in Baltimore. It would be so great to visit Drema in her shop as I have been ordering with her online for at least 8 years now! Luckily my SIL is a stitcher too and she will be thrilled to visit the shop!

LOL i never thought I would have a LNS after ordering online for years!! Anyway the class was the Armchair Necessaire and I made a nice start on it.

Present for Katrina

it has been a couple of weeks since Katrina received her long due birthday package but this is what I stitched for her. I liked it so much I got another one for me! I did stitch the top inside and made the pincushion from WDW felt.

It is the Berrie Pynboxe from Historic Stitches.

More later!
