NO SUCCESS BY FRENCH GOVERNMENT IN COMBATTING ISLAMOFASCISM

Zvi Mazel wrote about France's serious crisis with Islamofascism, and says that there's been no true success:

With the slaughter at Charlie Hebdo and at the Hyper Cacher supermarket, France has experienced a heightened level of Islamic terrorism since the beginning of the year. Yet it is strangely reluctant to tackle the phenomenon, which threatens the whole of Europe.

In the past Islamic terrorism has mainly, but not exclusively, targeted Jews. Mohammed Merah had killed two French soldiers and wounded a third before murdering Jewish children and teachers in Toulouse.

French security services are working round the clock to prevent further attacks, meeting with little to no success. Only recently they prevented large-scale attacks on the country’s vulnerable churches.

However, with radical organizations working within the large Muslim communities, which are to be found everywhere now, and with a Muslim population estimated at six million, security services have their work cut out.

The French government has chosen a rather circuitous approach to the problem and set up a framework of dialogue with its Muslim minority – or, more precisely, with its religious leaders. The first meeting was held in Paris on June 14 – under the auspices of Prime Minister Manuel Valls and his minister of interior, Bernard Cazeneuve – with some 150 Muslim dignitaries, led by Dalil Boubakeur, president of the French Council of the Muslim Faith, whose creation in 2003 was promoted by then-president Nicolas Sarkozy.

The council has failed dismally to fulfill its intended goals – namely, promoting dialogue with non-Muslims and addressing Islamic terrorism – and has lost much of its prestige.

In the course of several seminars, the dignitaries were asked to formulate their demands, and they asked for more protection for their mosques, a stronger government response to what they called Islamophobia, the building of more mosques – 5,000 were mentioned – as well as more mundane subjects such as a greater supply of halal meat and imposing a special tax on that meat to finance building and other community needs.

On the latter point the minister of interior stated that France, being a secular country, could not do so, but would see what could be done regarding the building of mosques as well as taking steps to ensure greater security for mosques and other community infrastructures.

One of the participants suggested turning churches into mosques; the outcry was such that he quickly retreated. Yet the bishop of the city of Évry went on the record to say that he would rather see a church become a mosque than a restaurant. This readiness to forgo centuries-old traditions raised quite a few eyebrows.

Interesting that the bishop has a dislike for places to eat. Obviously, that's one dhimmi of a Christian, but one who's also against people having a great place to dine for happiness. You can see pretty well why people could become so disillusioned with the Church.

Worse, there was no mention of anti-Semitism, one of the major problems in Europe today. The growing number of anti-Semitic incidents in 21st-century France has led more and more Jews to flee a country where Jews have been living for over a thousand years, yet France resolutely refuses to recognize Muslim anti-Semitism as well as renewed Christian anti-Semitism.

I wonder if Sarkozy now regrets promoting a council that's only self interested? If he's ever reelected to office, he'll have to do a lot to apologize for any missteps he made when he was president.

UNHRC MINIMIZES ROCKET ATTACKS

The UN's corrupt Human Rights Council has downplayed the seriousness of rockets fired at Israeli targets from Sinai:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the UN Human Rights Council on Friday after it ratified a Palestinian-presented resolution on last summer's war in Gaza, saying the body was unnecessarily harsh on Israel and "is not really interested in facts and human rights."

The premier issued his fiery statement shortly after a projectile launched at Israel exploded in the southern Eshkol Regional Council. Despite previous uncertainty over the rocket's origins, according to Netanyahu, the projectile was launched from the Sinai Peninsula where Islamic State-linked fighters recently carried out a series of deadly strikes on Egyptian military posts.

In his condemnation of the UNHRC, the prime minister mentioned the rocket strike along with brutal Islamic State terrorist attacks in Syria, the atrocities of the ongoing Syrian civil war and Iran's arbitrary executions of minority group members, indicating that the UN body should concentrate on those issues.

"The council has now adopted more resolutions against Israel than the total number of resolutions it has made on other countries," the premier said, adding that the UNHRC "cannot call itself a human rights council."

"Those who fear to openly attack terrorism will – in the end – be attacked by terrorism," he said in reference to the UN council.

However, Netanyahu stressed that Israel would continue to defend its citizens from those who aim to destroy it.

"The State of Israel acted to defend itself against a murderous terrorist organization," he said of Israel's operation against Hamas last summer.

Netanyahu's remarks came after the UNHRC called on Israel and the Palestinians to prosecute alleged war crimes committed in the 2014 Gaza war and to cooperate with the International Criminal Court's preliminary investigation.

Which is just a lot of moral equivalence, and nothing else. When will the UN ever be dissolved, as would be for the best?

ANOTHER TERRIBLE SPATE OF JIHAD ATTACKS

The latest in Israel includes one where an IDF official was attacked by a rock thrower and had to shoot the enemy down:

In response to being pelted with stones, a brigade commander in the IDF's Judea and Samaria Division shot and killed a Palestinian on Friday morning, the IDF confirmed.

Palestinian rioters began throwing stones at Col. Israel Shomer's vehicle and in response, after firing warning shots he opened fire and killed one of them. The victim was identified as a seventeen-year-old named Muhammad al-Casba.

The incident took place near the West Bank village of Al-Ram which is north-east of Jerusalem, at a time of heightened security in the West Bank following a spate of terrorist attacks against Israeli targets. The commander was on his way to the Kalandiya checkpoint in between Jerusalem and Ramallah when his vehicle was attacked.

There were no injuries among the IDF personnel but a photo of the scene showed an IDF vehicle with a smashed windshield.

"The commander reacted exactly as expected given that the incident presented an immediate risk to life," an IDF source said on Friday.

The source described the attack on the commander's vehicle as an ambush that was planned.

Large forces were sent to the area following the shooting as the IDF assessed that disturbances to public order would come in its wake.

Because of these recent incidents, that's another reason why the public would like a cease in leniency on Islamists who're potentially dangerous. Sooner or later, that's what'll have to be done.

"Stones kill, just ask Adele Biton," Bennett added, referring to the toddler who was seriously injured in a stone-throwing terror attack in the West Bank in 2013.

Biton died of pneumonia in February, and at the time her mother claimed that the severity of the illness was a direct result of the wounds she suffered in the terrorist attack.

Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid also expressed his support for the IDF commander.

"Stones kill, and IDF soldiers need to be able to defend themselves and know that their political leaders will back them up completely," Lapid said at a conference in Kfar Saba.

Stones can kill people no matter the size and weight.

REUTERS: "Tunisia hotel gunman trained in Libya jihadist camp"

The Tunisian gunman who carried out a deadly attack on a hotel last Friday trained in a jihadist camp in Libya last year, Tunisia's government said on Tuesday. The death toll from the assault on the Imperial Marhaba beach hotel in the popular resort town of Sousse was revised down on Tuesday to 38 from a previously given 39. Most of the victims were British tourists. A spokesman for the prime minister said Saif Rezgui, who was killed by police following the rampage, was in Libya at the same time as two Tunisian gunmen who subsequently stormed the Tunis Bardo museum in March. The museum assault killed 21 people. The twin attacks have dealt a brutal blow to the country's vital tourism industry. 

Authorities have arrested three others for allegedly helping to plan Rezgui's attack, a security source said. "Rezgui had training in Libya at the end of 2014. He was trained during the same time in Libya as the Bardo attackers," prime ministerial spokesman Dafer Neji told Reuters.

MASSACRE ON TUNISIAN BEACH

Jihadists with a hatred of beach life murdered 28 people on a Tunisian beach:

Beachgoers scattered in terror as gunfire raked a popular Tunisian seaside resort on Friday, killing at least 28 people and injuring some three dozen others, according to Tunisian authorities. It was the second major strike in just over three months against a tourist target in the North African country.

The assault took place outside a luxury beach hotel in the Tunisian city of Sousse, at noontime on a hot summer day when the seaside was crowded with visitors including Britons and Germans, according to Tunisian officials cited by state media. The city, about 90 miles south of the capital, Tunis, is a popular destination for tourists from Europe as well as elsewhere in the country and the region.

Officials initially believed there were two attackers, but later said the strike appeared to have been carried out by a lone gunman, who was shot dead. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, though suspicion fell on Islamic militants who have sought to destabilize Tunisia by harming its fragile economy.

That's just who the barbarians were, but the LA Times would rather put their heads in the sand than be clear about the facts. A lot of Arab/Muslim countries suffered from the phony Arab Spring's effect, and now it looks like Tunisia's following next.

JIHADIST MURDERS HIS FRENCH EMPLOYER

An Islamofascist in France decapitated his boss:

Three French officials say the man whose severed head was found hanging at the gate of an American gas factory that was attacked in France was the employer of suspect.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing, said the victim was believed to have died before the suspect got a car through the factory's gates and rammed into gas canisters Friday morning. That triggered an explosion that officials say injured two people. A decapitated body and flags with Arabic writing were found at the entrance.

The security official, who was not authorized to speak to the media and requested anonymity, said the victim was the head of a local transportation company and was believed to have been killed before the explosion. His name was not released.

Authorities had said his body was found near the site of the attack.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve says multiple people have been arrested. “People who could have participated in this abject crime are in custody after having been arrested,” he told journalists.

The attack took place at the Air Products factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier near Lyon.

Cazeneuve said the prime suspect was believed to be from the area and had been flagged in 2006 for ties to Islamic extremists, but surveillance was dropped in 2008.

France opened a terrorism investigation after the attack. One official said banners with Arabic writing were found near the body.

Here again, we find a case where surveillance was abandoned out of certain political correctness - and weakness. And because of that, another innocent human's lost his life. How much more of this is France and Europe going to put up with before it becomes clear exile is the only way to deal with Islamofascists?

DZHOKHAR TSARNAEV'S NON-EXISTENT APOLOGY

The jihadist who set off a bomb at the Boston marathon last year has received the death sentence. Before that, he allegedly apologized, but the Boston Herald's explained with the help of several victims how his babble is all phony:

Terrorism survivors limping on prosthetic legs, tethered to service dogs and battling through sobbing fits for one brief chance to express their pain to Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were left cold and confused by his attempt at apologizing.

Even U.S. District Court Judge George A. O’Toole Jr. attacked the young jihadist’s “monstrous self-deception” yesterday, ignoring the last-minute remorse.

Tsarnaev, in his first words to the court, said, “I’m sorry for the lives I’ve taken,” and “I prayed for Allah to bestow his mercy upon the deceased, those affected in the bombings and their families.”

Transit police Sgt. Richard “Dic” Donohue, who bled out and was nearly pronounced dead when a stray bullet pierced a major artery during a shootout with Tsarnaev and his late brother, Tamerlan, said he was “surprised” to hear the native Chechen speak.

“It was hard to tell how genuine and true his words are,” Donohue said. “It’s tough to tell how truly remorseful he is, if at all.”

Bill Richard, speaking in court, said Tsarnaev “chose hate. He chose destruction. He chose death.”

Lynn Julian, who suffered a traumatic brain injury and permanent hearing loss in the twin blasts, called Tsarnaev’s “Oscar-type” speech “shocking.”

“I regret ever having wanted to hear him speak,” Julian said. “A simple, believable apology would have been nice, but there’s nothing simple in what he said ... it seemed insincere.”

They're absolutely right, it wasn't real. The Dallas Morning News has more explaining how his vile mentality after being incarcerated also weighs against him:

The apology that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev offered today before he was sentenced to death for his role in the Boston Marathon bombings almost sounds sincere. But no one should forget the middle-finger salute he offered to a security camera shortly after his arrest for the bombing murder of three and injuries of 264 others.

If he were truly sorry, if he truly had remorse after standing in the crowd and surveying the faces of all the people, including children, he was about to maim with his pressure-cooker bomb, then it certainly wasn’t evident when he was arrested. It certainly wasn’t evident when he sat through day after day of his trial, straight-faced and appearing almost bored with the tedium of the judicial process.

It certainly wasn’t evident when the parade of victims spoke about the horrors they went through and the lives that were robbed from them because of this young man’s actions. So it’s hard for the outside world to feel remorse at the idea that he could face the death penalty for his crimes.

And they shouldn't feel any. Tsarnaev should have his brains blown out with a shotgun at close range for all the savagery he committed. Any so-called "apology" he offers at this point is nothing more than an insult to the intellect, and sounds more like an attempt to dodge punishment than an admittal to guilt. Especially if he won't condemn his upbringing through the Religion of Peace.

SCALIA'S BRILLIANT DISSENT

In a dissent he summarized from the bench, Justice Antonin Scalia said, “We should start calling this law SCOTUScare.” Using the acronym for the Supreme Court, Scalia said his colleagues have twice stepped in to save the law from what Scalia considered worthy challenges. 

“The Court holds that when the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act says ‘Exchange established by the State’ it means ‘Exchange established by the State or the Federal Government.’ That is of course quite absurd, and the Court’s 21 pages of explanation make it no less so,” Scalia wrote. 

Scalia added, “Words no longer have meaning if an Exchange that is not established by a State is ‘established by the State.’ It is hard to come up with a clearer way to limit tax credits to state Exchanges than to use the words ‘established by the State.’ And it is hard to come up with a reason to include the words ‘by the State’ other than the purpose of limiting credits to state Exchanges.”

I would only add:

NO: it is IMPOSSIBLE to come up with a reason to include the words ‘by the State’ other than the purpose of limiting credits to state Exchanges.

If lawmakers meant all exchanges, then they could have left out any and all instances of "by the State".

This ruling is a travesty and it makes a mockery of the rule of law, of language, and of our democracy.

When laws mean whatever the ruling class says they mean, then we are no longer a nation of laws.

Here's a bill proposal we should hope can be passed:

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation will on Sunday consider a bill that would ban discrimination against Israeli residents of Judea and Samaria.

The law, proposed Jewish Home MK Yinon Magal, would add residence to the list of conditions for which discrimination can be prosecuted. Among those conditions are age, gender, marital status, and others.

The law was first proposed in the last Knesset by former Jewish Home MKs Orit Struk an Shuli Muallem. The law was approved by the Committee last time as well, but was held up from legislation by challenges from Yesh Atid.

The law would prevent discrimination in hiring and delivery of services to residents of the region.

Many residents of Judea and Samaria have long complained that stores and service providers have refused to deliver products or supply services, forcing them to use alternative sources that are perhaps not so easy to find.

Getting a law like this drafted would do a lot of good for everyone.

ISIS MINIONS ARE LOCATED CLOSER TO ISRAEL THAN WE MIGHT THINK

A documentary filmmaker warned that ISIS has terrorists nestled in very close vicinity to Israel:

In only four months, the Islamic State (IS) has captured territory larger than the country of Britain, a march unprecedented in modern history, according to journalist and documentary filmmaker Itai Anghel.

And IS fighters are closer to Israel than people think, he said. “I’m talking about the Peninsula of Sinai,” he said. “A large percentage of the Sinai calls itself IS. From the mainland of Egypt, they are afraid to go in.”

Anghel addressed the HonestReporting Mission on Tuesday to discuss how IS formed and how it operates. He learned the lessons firsthand reporting across Iraq and Syria, where he interviewed captured IS fighters as well as Kurdish soldiers, the only group that’s turned back the IS advance to date, among many others.

During one of his forays into Syria last year, news broke that a colleague of his, James Foley, had been captured and beheaded by IS. At the time, Anghel was only a mile away. He later interviewed a captured IS fighter who said he intentionally used dull knives for the beheadings he carried out to increase the pain. Anghel said he was forced to pause in the interview for a few minutes as he thought about the tragedy of his friend Foley.

Truly sadistic. The filmmaker's done the right thing to warn what kind barbarism is lurking right nearby, and sooner or later, IS is going to cause horrifying disaster.
