The Mighty Buffalo Hunter

My husband put in for buffalo this year and "LUCKILY" for buffalo so he could provide for our family. Well he did just that! He shot an enormous buffalo. He went with my dad, brother, his dad, and brother in law. He had a blast. Here are some pictures from their adventure.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Wow It's amazing to think that on December 16th next Tuesday it will be our 3rd year anniversary. I feel old saying i have been married for 3 years. We celebrated our anniversary today because Russ will be buffalo hunting on Tuesday.
The picture you see above is my anniversary gift from Russ. I have wanted one of these tables for so long. I am so excited. He is so sneaky! He told me that his cousin (the guy who made it) was way overwhelmed with orders for Christmas and wouldn't have time to make me one! Well I guess he was just trying to throw me off. (Thanks for making the table Johnny). I made the picture frames above the table and painted them black. I think they go with the table pretty well. Russ is so great and so good to me. I love him so much and I am so glad we have been together for 3 years and I can't wait for the years to come.

So my mom wanted to send out Christmas cards this year. So Russ and I took our camera down last weekend and took some pictures of our family. Merry Christmas.

Its beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS!!!

I am so excited for Christmas. Last weekend after Thanksgiving we went up Oak City and cut down our tree. We got the best tree ever. Thanks to Russ!!

So many things happened this weekend! Getting our Tree, Thanksgiving and Russ' birthday. Yes thats right, he is officially 26! Old MAN!! It was so much fun. We had a birthday dinner for him as well as cake. After we were done we played pin the tail on the Donkey. I forgot how much fun that game was. I went to the store to get stuff to make a cake and it was only $1.00. It was well worth the dollar. We all had a blast.

Well I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I also hope that you all have a great Christmas.

Nuttin' New

So what's new with the May family? Honestly not much. This may be why I haven't updated my blog in forever. I don't really like to just write and I haven't really taken many pictures. Yes, blogs aren't what they used to be which could also play a role in why I haven't updated my blog. Hopefully with Christmas coming up I will have a bunch of Pics. So lately I've been working and Russ is Still going to school. We hardely ever see each other (which I hate). I've recovered from my surgery but then got a cold and the throw up flu. Yes, its been a while since I had the flu and it was awful. But now I'm all better and I'm planning on being better for a while since I've had my fair share, I think!!:) (cross my fingers)
Russ is going Antelope hunting this weekend so that should be fun for him. I on the other hand will be playing piano at a funeral. Antelope hunting sounds more enticing don't ya think. So last night i wrapped Christmas gifts. Early I know, but I just couldn't wait. I love Christmas. Well when something more exciting happens in our lives I'll let ya'll know, but until then. . . . . . . . . .

Surgery Day!!

So if ya'll haven't heard I had surgery. It wasn't a huge inpatient surgery but I have been down on my butt for 1 week and this week I just can't seem to get back to normal. My mind tells me I'm fine, but my body tells me I need to take it easy. If ya'll haven't heard a bout what happened here it is. So I had a pain on my right side that just wouldn't go away. I went over to the ultrasound department and got a ultrasound. They found a cyst on my right ovary that was 3.2 cm.(NOT BAD, Coulld be worse) I figured I would keep an eye on it and if it got bigger I would get an appointment. So four days later I went back and got another ultrasound and it had grown to 5.5 cm. Well, I decided to get an appointment. I went to my appointment and it had got even bigger. The doctor said that if it continued to get bigger it could turn the fallopian tube and cut off the circulation to my ovary. (YIKES). He said that because it was this big it would not go away on its own. He told me that I wasn't ovulating at all and would not be able to have kids until I got it out. He told me there was a chance I could lose my ovary. So I scheduled surgery for 10/21/2008. Everything went great!! I kept my ovary and he took out the cyst. He found a bunch of endometriosis that he burned off as well, so hopefully we have solved the problem.
Well that is the scoop on my surgery. Hopefully everything is working well and normal now.

Hangin out with the FAMILY!!!

So the last couple of weekends we have hung out with the Langston's (Russ' Sister's Fam). We took a hike up to the Timpanogos waterfall. Cory and Russ had a weener roast on the camp stove. We had just finished our lunch when the rain started. We took refuge under a bush, but minutes later the kids were bawling, freezing and soaked. Brett wore my extra shirt and looked like the Virgin Mary. Luke finally stopped crying when Russ told him that the bears were going to come eat him if he didn't stop. This last weekend we all decided to strut our old flabby stuff at the local hotel pool in Cedar City. Jen, Livvy, Luke, Brett, Cory, Emily, Russ and I swam until we were "pruny."

JAMAICA I have always wanted to go to Jamaica. Russ's brother is there on a Mission and I think it would be a lot of fun.

I LOVE FALL!

Well I love Fall too! Russ and I went four wheeling last weekend and took some fun pics. It was so beautiful. We went up Manti Canyon the leaves are turning and the weather was perfect.

So if ya'll haven't noticed I'm not much for writting. So I just post pictures.

It was the most beautiful relaxing ride I have been on.

Timpanogos Hike

Yesterday was our stake conference from 10 to 12. After we decided to go hiking up timpanogos.(and yes I don't know how to spell that I think its t-i-m-p-a-n-o-g-o-s because thats how the hospital is spelled but I have no idea.) So we drove up to Sundance and decided to hike up to the water falls. It wasn't a long hike but that was good because I'm not in shape any more.

So this is the beautiful waterfall. Russ made me hike up next to it so he could get some pics and the rocks were really mossy and slippery.

So while we were hiking down the trail russ let out a scream and I looked over and he was bleeding. It looked so bad and I was worried that we were going to have to go get stitches. Then after a couple minutes he started laughing. What a loser! He had grabbed some red berries and squoze(is that a word) them so it looked like he was bleeding. He thought it was so funny and I was not so happy.
Does it look like we are about ready to fall off a cliff??? because we are.

GETTING STUCK!!!

So Russ Went hunting this last weekend for elk!! He thought this puddle looked small but ended up just the opposite. I thought it was so funny when I saw this picture because it is just like him to get stuck!! I wish I could have been there but I had to work. But next weekend we are going and I'm so excited. Im not a fan of the hunting killing part but I like to be in the mountains ridin four wheelers and hikin!! So Russ got the truck stuck as well!! This was a about a month or so ago. It took forever to get it out. We went out west of Delta digging for fossils (we found some) and its a good thing we got out because it looked liked it would be really scary out there if we had to spend the night.

This our new Four wheeler!! It is so much fun. Russ drew out for the buffalo hunt and we figured a four wheeler would help if he shot one. Then he would have something to haul it out with. It really has been a great purchase, especially since we are always in the mountains.



So the May family has a tradition. They go camping every summer up Beaver Canyon. We went this year and had a blast!! We look forward to going every year. We went on long four wheeler rides and did a lot of hiking.



Russ finally bought a fly rod. He has been wanting to learn to fly fish for as long as I have known him. He is actually pretty good at it but he had an accident! He was casting and he broke his real! Now his dreams are shattered. It was pretty sad because he hadn't even caught one yet.




Russ and I went hiking up Oak City canyon a couple of weeks ago and found this beautiful canyon. Russ alsays has a sense fo adventure which is fun!!

O GOODNESS!!

Alright so I had to delete my original blog because it would not let me blog on it any more. All my tabs like settings, layouts, etc. were gone and I couldn't figure out how to get them back. Finally, I gave up and decided to start over. Life is great for Russ and I. Russ just started his second summer block and is doing great in school. As for me I just finished school. I am so happy, no more school ever again. I just took my boards for Radiology and I passed. The test was so hard, it felt more like a nursing test. But at least its over with. I am so excited for Summer. Yes my summer is just beginning. I am so excited for the 4th of July. Me, Russ and his sisters and brother in laws are playing on a volley ball team in Delta on the 4th. Hopefully we will win!! Well when I get home from work I will add some pics we have done some fun things over the past months and it'd be fun to show ya'll.
