Welcome New Pit Crew Member Ashley Marcu!

Today I am pretty excited.  We are having the fabulous Ashley Marcu join the Avocado Arts Pit Crew!

Here is a bit about herself in her own words:

My name is Ashley Marcu and I live in a suburb of Seattle with my husband and three young energetic kids. I’ve enjoyed crafting all my life and was thrilled to find stamping after the birth of my first child in 2007. I have been published multiple times in Paper Crafts magazine and was crowed Stamping Royalty in 2012. When I’m not creating cards or making crafts you can find me having fun with my kids, driving to school or soccer practice, enjoying friends and family or playing outside! I’m thrilled to be part of team!

Grillin' and Chillin'

How many are flip flop girls?

I am!

My favorite pair are silver that I picked up at Old Navy for $1.

I super love the flip flop image and decided to make them super girlie:

I used a push pin to pierce my tag and threaded through some paper posies.

Super fun card to give as a "just because".

The 'hi there!' is from the Borders and Sentiments set.  A great go- to set that has so many possibilities!

Next up is a card that could be either masculine or feminine:

I super love adirondack chairs.  They totally remind me of the beach and relaxation.

I've been on the tall skinny card kick.  To fill up the space I added craft foam clouds.  It gives the design nice texture without taking away from the black adirondack.

My last card comes with a question:

Do you see what I see?

What's your favorite summertime drink?

I love iced coffees...but is that what you see or is it perhaps a soda/cola/pop?

The glass image is great to make up a bunch of different drinks from ice tea to lemonade!

Grillin' and Chillin'~Summer fun!!!!

HI guys~this is a card I made using the July stamp set from Avocado Arts called  grillin' and chillin' ~I loved the images!!! As much as we grill outside I didn't have any pictures to scrapbook.  I'll have to take some:):):) at the next cookout!!

I'm lovin' the flip flops, too!!!!

The title says~2 chairs would have been nice in black letters, not showing up to good.  Love the summer images in this set. Project #2

I was playing around with the stamps and stamped on some ribbon.  I didn't end up using the stamped ribbon but will at some point.  Stamped beautifully~

Ashley Harris- Grillin and Chillin

Hey there!  Super happy to be posting today and sharing my creations with this FAB new set Grillin and Chillin.     So here  we go!

I love those flip flops!!  So cute!!

I love coloring things.  Especially my own swim suit!  How fun would that be!?!

New July release: Grillin' and Chillin

It's SUMMERTIME and that means plenty of Grillin' and Chillin'!  I love flip flops, nice cool drinks, grilling with friends and family and chillin'.  We are SUPER excited to share our new July stamp set release:

Create your favorite beverage with our "build your own beverage" stamps.  Stamp the ice cubes so they are floating in your favorite summer drink, add the umbrella and slice of lemon or lime.  The glass can also be used as a vase for flowers!  How cool is that?  Need to create something with a masculine touch?  Stamp the grill- complete with a hot dog on a grilling fork and add the apron.  The sentiment "grillin and chillin" fits perfectly on the front of the apron.  Flip flops, a cute swimming suit and a relaxing adirondack chair complete the set!
