Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat was so fun! I am glad that I was able to take Sammi and Luke. We had a great time playing games, having treats, and of course going around the trunks for some candy!

Professor Von Schlossenburgh (my dad) working his booth! It was a mad professor lab and the kids had to guess what they were feeling - eyeballs, rat tails, brains, veins and blood and guts. My dad was way into it.

The only sad part of the night was that Brandon is gone. The first thing the kids asked when jumping in the car, "Wheres Brandon." Then it was, is Chelsea coming? Is Mckenzie? Sorry Paige I think they forgot about you. That seems to happen when you live in Hawaii.

Knotts Scary Farm

We went to Knott's Scary Farm last Wednesday night and it was definitely scary. I think I started to loose my voice in the 2nd maze. But then again I get scared easily. There were 13 mazes, the rides were open, they had shows etc. Brandon really wanted to hit all the mazes so we did. They were incredible! The detail in them was so good. If I wasn't so worried about what was going to pop out at me next I could have just looked at all the props, decorations and everything that made the mazes so cool. The monsters had great costumes and masks. I didn't know this till later but behind my back Brandon and Chelsea told the monsters to get me. So I was chased by these ugly creatures saying my name in a spooky voice. SCCAAARRYYY

On Monday I was at the house I babysit for and Brandon calls me. He says, "Crystal, Im coming over real quick I have a surprise for you." 20 minutes later the doorbell rings, I come and Brandon is standing there empty handed. I was so confused. He said "your surprise is around the corner" and out pops my sister CHELSEA!!! We started screaming and jumping and hugging each other. There were a few tears as well. I was so so happy!!! She decided to drive down from Utah and surprise the whole family for the week. It was a blast having Chelsea at home. She definately livens the place up. There were numerous times where I thought I was going to die because she made me laugh so hard, but thats nothing new she is always making people crack up. I tried to hang out with her every moment I could. She even slept with me. (Brandon left on Thursday for a couple days). She left Saturday morning and I missed her the 2nd she left. I feel so lucky to have such awesome sisters who are my best friends. 

I LOVE GeNeRaL ConFeRence!!! I always look forward to General Conference Weekends. There are two sessions aired on Saturday and two sessions on Sunday where we get to hear from the 12 apostles, our prophet, Thomas S. Monson and other church leaders. In April Brandon and I had the chance to actually attend in Utah but this time we chose to stay home with the family. It is always wonderful to snuggle up together, with our notebooks and enjoy inspiring messages. And of course there is always good food! My favorite is my moms chocolate chip pumpkin bread/muffins. They are to die for!!!
