The Matthew
We came home today and it rained most of the day. I just took a few pictures of The Matthew before we left Bonavista. The Matthew was the ship that John Cabot sailed on back in 1497 from Spain. He landed in Bonavista and discovered Newfoundland. This is a replica of that ship, made to 2/3 scale.

The Discovery Trail - Day Two
The hotel we stayed at (The Harbour Quarters), The Ryan Premises, Viking Head, floats on nets hung out to dry, a small community named Keels, a lone house in King's Cove, a sea arch in Tickle Cove and old buildings in Red Cliff. Another full day of sightseeing.

The Discovery Trail - Day One
Historic Trinity, Admiral's Point lighthouse, scenic Trinity Bay, young girls and horses in Port Rexton, a sea stack, a small lighthouse at Catalina, Cape Bonavista lighthouse. A full day of sightseeing!
