The Lid Drawer

My bottom drawer has been designated as the "Lid Drawer." It is one that does not have a safety latch. This makes it a favorite of Sara and Blake. Sara will take out the lids to stack them, making a snowman or a birthday cake. Blake just likes to pull out every single lid. Today he discovered that he can climb into the drawer. He was so proud of himself. Sara did the same at 14 months. He is getting so big.

Munchkins

Blake does this thing where he tilts his head to the side and smiles, especially when he is in his highchair.
I have no idea where it came from. He does both sides.
He loves to climb on anything.
The other day he almost climbed off the recliner.

Sara thinks that she needs to be watching movies 24-7. I am looking forward to nice weather everyday. She does not get as easily bored when she is running around outside.
For the last few days she has been carrying around all of her clean underwear like they are a boquet of flowers. She says that, "They are pretty and smell so good."

Where does she come from?

Chinese Jammies

I have always loved Asian pajamas. We found some for Sara and Blake while we were in Hawaii. However, it is just now warm enough for the kids to wear them. Tonight is their first night, of course, I had to take pictures. Sara loves her new jammies and thinks that she is a princess just like Mulan. "How lufally!" (lovely)

Blake did not love the grass on his bare feet.

Check out the embroidered dragon on his back! (if you click on the picture, it will be enlarged)

Also notice that he is walking. Of course Sara knocked him down seconds later attempting to dance with him.

Cooking With Daddy

Bryan loves to have the kids help him cook breakfast. On Sunday morning they made me an omelet while I was getting ready for church.
Look how he arranged the chairs so that Mister Mister wouldn't fall. They are my big helpers!

Pretty New Dress

Sara has hit a stage where she thinks she needs to wear a dress everyday. This is a new play dress . . . as opposed to a Sunday dress.
Notice that she has on 5 bracelets.

Blowing Bubbles

On Thursday Lexie came over to play with Sara. With Blake down for a nap I was hoping to get some cleaning done. So to keep the girls busy I gave them each a dish with a mixture of water and dish soap, and a straw. They were a little confused about what to do when I told them that we were going to blow bubbles. However, they quickly caught on and had a blast!

First Words

Tonight Blake was crawling on the couch. In his efforts to grab my cell phone, he knocked it to the ground. Then he said, "Uh-oh." He says "ma-ma-ma" and "da-da-da" although he does not say them referring to Bryan and I. So I think that "uh-oh" is his first official word. He is getting so big!

This is a classic "Blake" look. He scrunches up his face and makes a sniffing sound.
