What's all the Egg-citement?

Sara was completely ecstatic this morning when she found this green egg in the chicken coop
"It is the hugest egg ever!" she exclaimed.

Now the dilemma is what to do with it? I think this will be one of our Easter Eggs that we color.

Happy St. Patty's Day

This is the first year that Sara got excited about St. Patrick's Day. She was super excited to pinch Bryan this morning - because he failed to incorporate green into his outfit. When he realized that she was coming he quickly put on his green Jazz hat. Unfortunately her 4 year-old fingers were unable to pinch anyone today. Maybe next year.

*Update - Sara was able to pinch Uncle Todd.

Sharing the Swing

There were several kids swinging on our swing set leaving a few kids without a swing. This is how they decided to share the swing. Lately Sara and Blake have really been enjoying each other. It is so much fun to see what good friends they are.

When Sara finally "won" the swing Blake was devastated.

Obsession

Blake has a new obsession: hoodies. He absolutely loves hoodies! When he wears one it must be zipped, so he can put his hands in the pockets, and he has to have the hood on.
Oh, he is such a funny guy!

The Entrepreneurs

Sara and Blake have started selling eggs. Right now we are getting 6-12/day. We made this sign so that neighbors will know when we have eggs available. Hopefully they will be able to earn some money for some of the fun activities they want to do. Right now they are working toward a trip to the zoo.

Sara on Blake

I love Blakey so, so very much. He is the best brother in the whole town!

Sara at the Grocery Store

The other day we were at the grocery store and Sara spotted a baby in a carrier with her mom. Immediately she starts commenting not so quietly.
"Oh Mommy, do you see that cute baby girl?
She is so cute.
Mommy Look at that cute baby girl."
I quietly agree with her, hoping to deter her. However, she continues fawning over the baby girl.

As we pass, the mother of the baby girl leans over to Sara and says, "Do you know you are a very cute girl, too?"
Sara responds, "Thank you."
"She really wants a baby sister, " I explain.
After I make small talk with the mother Sara hopefully asks, "Can I say a prayer to ask Heavenly Father for a baby sister?"
"Of course you can," I respond.

So, sitting in the cart Sara immediately folds her arms, bows her head and begins,
"Dear Heavenly Father thank you for this day . . . "

My Mirror Washer

Lately Blake gets annoyed when my bathroom mirror gets fogged up. He then takes it upon himself to "clean" the mirror . . . with his hand.
Thanks, Dude!

The Living Planet Aquarium

Blake collected eggs to earn a trip to the aquarium.
Sara's favorite animal was the Moon Jellyfish (pictured below).
There was a light that changed from pink to blue to green to white making the jellyfish appear to change color.
Blake loved the sharks. Unfortunately there were too many people around to get a good picture.
They had a "Coral Reef" for the kids to crawl through.
Sara and Blake both took a turn "driving" this boat around the lakes of Utah.

Checking out the stingray. Sara eventually got brave enough to pet one.

We loved our trip to the Aquarium!

Sara's Nest

Lauren, the babysitter, helped Sara to make this nest out of sticks, grass, and feathers for her Littlest Pet Shop toys. Sara was so proud of it. The next day Blake got angry with Sara and kicked the nest off of the deck.

Blake was just waking up from a nap and he was really upset because he didn't want me to take a picture. I just love his pout-face.
