Easter

We spent Easter in good ole Ephraim this year. On Saturday, (3/22/08) we went to the city Easter Egg Hunt with all of Brex's cousins. Brexton loved finding all the candy.

Then we went up and had a BBQ out in the west mountains. We hid more Easter eggs that the kids got to find. Some of the eggs were camoflauge, which made the hunt a lot harder, thanks to all the sagebrush!
The Boys!

Brexton got to shoot his cousin's gun. He was so excited to shoot a real gun. He kept telling everyone that he shot a bear. It was kind of funny seeing Brex with his cousins. They were all about getting muddy and it didn't even phase them. Brex got a little mud on his pants and came over telling me to get the poop off. (He didn't even know what mudd was!) I guess he really is missing out on all the fun, living up here in the city and all.

Janilee and Cooper.
Grandma Joyce (Brexton's new best friend) and Kolten.

This is a picture of Brex with Karter and Karson. They had so much fun coloring eggs.

On Easter morning, Brex, Karson and Karter got to find all the Easter eggs the Easter Bunny left.

We all had so much fun on Easter. What a fun weekend, being able to spend time with family, on such a special holiday.

Build a Bear...or Dog

It was Andi's (Brexton's cousin) birthday the other day. To celebrate, they went to Disney on Ice, and Build a Bear. Brex and Andi choose the same dog to build. Andi got a pink dog bed, and Brex wanted one just like it. He was so upset when we tried to take it away from him. I knew Bryson would kill me if I brought home a pink satin bed with white furry stuff around the edges, so we finally found a blue and red dog house to replace the pink dog bed. Brexton loved putting the heart in the bear before they stuffed it, then giving it a bath, and choosing toys for it. He ended up naming his dog Bo.

Rock Band Fools!

So we consider ourselves grown, mature, college students, but when get together and play Rock Band on XBOX 360, we become real rockers!

These are our neighbors Katie (pink) and Brant (white) Nikolaus, and Sam (blue) and Megan (brown?) Warren. We actually feel like a real garage band when we play. Brant and Katie usually end up singing, since they are about the only ones who can sing, and then we switch off playing lead and base guitar, and the drums. Megan and I make great back-up singers too! I will try and put a video of us on here, so you can see us in action.

We had to get Brex a play guitar and microphone so he can be part of the band too!

Feeding the Ducks...and Geese

Brex loves to go to Sugarhouse Park and feed the ducks. Whenever we eat at The Olive Garden across the street, Brexton always saves some breadsticks to feed the ducks. This particular time we went, there was a duck that had an injured leg. Brex would make sure that he got the bread close enough so the duck didn't have to hop too far. If other ducks would get his food, Brex would tell them, "No, no, ducks," and would scare them away. We can't wait for better weather to spend more time outside!

This is the injured duck (I know it is a goose Chris- thanks) that Brexton fed. It just hopped around on one foot, so sad.

It was so cold and windy, but Brex just didn't want to leave.

The Search for a Home

As exciting and sad as it may be, we cannot live here at the Village forever. So we are taking a step into the real world and buying a house. The question is whether we should buy a house or a townhouse. There are pros and cons about both. We are looking in Saratoga Springs because I want to get as far south as I can, and Bryson doesn't want to leave the jail in SLC, so that brought us to Saratoga Springs. We would love our own home, but for the same price, and the same size, we can get a brand new townhouse where we can pick our paint, travertine tile, granite, etc. or an older home, that would need some work, but we wouldn't have neighboors that we share a wall with. The townhouse that we like has a clubhouse with a pool, b-ball court, workout room, tennis court, etc. It also has a small fence-in private yard. Well anyway, if anyone has any advice on which path to take, please send it our way!
