TECC44 And a little Cuppa Joe!

This is what I came up with for the Taylored Expressions Sketch for this weekend. I took the sketch and made a little box out of it instead of a card. This sketch was really fun to play with and I love these colors together. I plan on sticking a bag of coffee beans in this and giving it as a gift this year.

Recipe:

Stamps: My Cuppa Joe (Gina K Designs)
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, K&CO DP, Bella Blossoms SU DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Punches, Ribbon, Jumbo Eyelets (on the sides for the ribbon handle), Brads (Basic Grey), Dimensionals

WSC67

Hello! Here is the card I made for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge (#67). I'm still playing with the new SU Set Love You Much. I've pretty much decided I really do like this set. Another new item on this card is the White Cardstock, which is by PaperTreyInk (PTI) One of my SCS buddies sent me it as one of "her favorite things". It's thicker than SU Whisper White, and is really nice!

I have another brand of white cardstock to try, and that's 120lb Gina K Designs Luxury Cardstock. I picked it up (along with a few other new things!)  last night at the One of A Kind Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo.

Recipe:
Stamps: Love You Much (SU)
Paper: PTI White, Close to Cocoa, Candy Lane DSP, Loves Me DSP
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink
Access: Sponges, Ticket Corner Punch, Chocolate Twill Ribbon, Pink Gingham Ribbon, Circle Punches, Dimensionals

Quick Box of Cards...

Here is my creation for today, must have had the mojo going because I put this together in about an hour. The box directions are below:

Start with a 4" X11.5 Sheet of Riding Hood Red Cardstock. Score the long ways at 4", 5", 9" and 10". The 1.5" on the end is your "lid", although I added a 2" X 2.5" strip to it to make it larger. The sides of the box have a 2"X4" piece of Riding Hood Red Cardstock, scored the short ways at 1/2" and 1.5". The 2 skinny 1/2" ends I applied red sticky tape and then adhered them to the inside of the front and back of the box.

The cards are 3X3.

The full recipe is below:
Stamps: Love You Much
Ink: Close to Cocoa
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
Access; SU Scallop Edge Punch, SU Scallop Circle Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Pink Pirroette Striped Ribbon, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Swiss Dots A2 Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug, Chocolate Chip Twill Ribbon (retired).

Trees Silhouettes

Good evening!

I made this card over the weekend for JessJean's Gina K Designs Sketch Challenge. The tree images are part of Trees Silhouettes set, which is the buy 3 get 1 free set for the November 08 release. The Hello image, and the leaves stamped on the Creamy Caramel panel are from another Gina K set called Autumn Leaves. I love Gina K's sets for this very reason, you can mix and match a lot of the sets on your cards and projects.

I do have some exciting news, this weekend is the One of A Kind Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Expo at the Alliant Energy Center here in town. Friday night there is a vendor Make & Take Market that I am going to. There will be 20 make-n-takes to do, plus of course shopping! And I'm meeting a fellow SCS'er BarbaraLynn at the event. So excited! Gina K Designs is one of the vendors too! :)

OK, off to stamp for awhile! Hugs ~ LJ

Gina K November Release Challenge #1

Gina K's November Release Party on SCS was Thursday night, and the first challenge was to create a scrapbook page using the sketch that Erika provided. I haven't done a scrapbook page in about 10 months, but I had this idea in my head with Melanies "Just So Sporty" set I wanted to try out with some badger photos. Hope you like it! :)

The new sets are great, dad took me to Gina K's store in McFarland on Friday, and I got "my cuppa joe", "have a cookie", "tee talk", and "trees silhouettes" (free set). I can't wait to play with them. I spent most of the morning cutting them up :)

I haven't done any stamping yet today despite being off work but here's a card I made yesterday morning for a sketch challenge for Hanna Stamps.

I used Football Riley, which was sent to me by Miss KelliJo. :) Isn't he cute???  I colored him in Prismacolor Premier Markers.

The more I use these markers the more I love them. I just need to get more colors....

My off day was pretty good, aside from the temperature lurking around 30 degrees for the high. I went to my LSS, went to visit my aunt down the street, and now I'm baking peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

I think I am going to curl up on the couch and watch a few episodes of season 2 of Friday Night Lights to finish off the evening....

Stay warm!
