Michelle Perkett Challenge DT card

Happy Tuesday everyone. Today is the challenge #25 over at Michelle Perkett Studio's Inspiration and Design Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is to create something with 'MOVEMENT OF SOME SORT' using the theme Spring has Sprung. (ie. spinner card, wiper card, tunnel card, etc).

My creation for this challenge is a wiper card. You can find the tutorial HERE from Splitcoaststampers.
I used Michelle's image called "Cutie Patootie Birthday Mermaid" and used flower DP to match the spring theme. Here is the finished card before pulling the side panels.

Here is what it looked like when the side panels were pulled.

Michelle Perkett Color Challenge + Other challenges

Happy Tuesday and welcome to the Michelle's Inspiration and Design Challenge this week. Today is a color challenge and we would like to see you using lots of "BLUES & GREENS". (other than skin & hair colors) So come over to the challenge blog and join us to have fun!! The winner will receive a $10 shopping spree at Michelle's Etsy shop.

This card is also used to enter the following challenges:
Eat, Sleep, Stamp Sketch #69 - sketch
Belli Challenge #84 - Ribbon

This time, I picked Michelle's "Spring" image for this challenge. Originally, she had no flower on her hair. The reasons why she had flowers put on her hair was because when I just about to color her, my black Copic Marker just suddenly bleed and dropped a big ink spot on that part of her hair, sniff sniff.... (my eyeballs almost dropped down on the ground). Luckily, the flower is big enough to cover it up :op

Here is the closer view on the image (with the black spot hid under the flower)

Thanks so much for coming by and hope to see you again soon :o)

Michelle Perkett Challenge DT card + other challenges

I am so excited to share you my excited news that I was invited to join Michelle Perkett's DT team and today I am posting my very first DT card for Michelle's challenge blog.

The challenge is to find a print from Michelle's Etsy Store that inspires you (whether it is with color or sentiment or design), then create a project around that inspiration piece.

I used the sketch from Quixotic Challenge #9 for the platform of my card.

Here is the print I got my colors inspirations from one of Michelle's Daydream prints for the card this time.

Using the color scheme from the print above, here is my finished card. The image of this card is called "Butterfly Fairy". I tried to stay the purple & green color for the image and added yellow for the contrast.

Closer view of this Butterfly Fairy. Colored with Copic markers and added some stickle on her wings. I think fairy should be a bit sparkle.

I punched out a strip using my MS punch and then folded some pleats.

MMSC36 and more challenges - Michelle Perkett's digital image

What a busy week I have so far. Hope you all have a great and relax week, not like mine :o

It's challenges time again and I finished a card once again for a few challenges:
Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #36
- Sketch
Paper Cutz Challenge #24 - Summer/beach theme
Cupcake Craft Challenge #73 - Going Girly

This is my finished card and I used an digital image called "Summer" which was illustrated by Michelle Perkett. Since it's called Summer, I tended to use some bright summer color. Orange, Turquoise Blue and Green is what I used for the color combo of my card.

Closer view on this pretty image and I colored it using my favorite Copic markers.

Side view for the card dimension. I've added some mini pearls, metal flower brads and buttons for embellishments. The ribbon and flowers are to cover the emptiness.

Happy New Year's Eve to you and thank you for stopping by today!

Last night, I finished a card using an image illustrated by Michelle Perkett. This digital image is called "Autumn". This card is made for PCP Michelle Perkett's group Challenge #10 which require a card with a special fold. I did this card using the Z fold.

This Z fold card base measurement:

Here is my finished card. I added a little ribbon for tying the card close.
