Think Pink Cupcake Box Mini Card and a Cake Topper

Good morning everyone. It is time for the Magnolia-licious October Blog Hop. If you are coming from the amazing ANGELA'S BLOG , you are in the right track. If not, please go back to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to start this blog hop. This month's blog hop is  Think Pink Treats.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) is an annual international health campaign organized by major companies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon symbol was used in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder as the symbol of The Breast Cancer Research Fund she founded and is used to symbolize the fight against the disease. We also honor those that have fought the battle and who are currently fighting the battle while raising awareness to ALL women to be aware of the symptoms and to be proactive against the disease. Want to find out more? The National Breast Cancer Foundation HERE for those in the US and globally at the PinkRibbon.org site HERE!
  • In 2011 Nearly 1.5 million women across the world were told they had breast cancer
  • One-third of breast cancer deaths can be decreased with early detection and treatment
  • In the US 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer over their lifetime, an estimated 527 women are diagnosed in the US with breast cancer each day
The Magnolia-licious DT wants to help promote awareness/early detection and share what this Think Pink Month is about with ALL women! We also want to honor all of those women that have or are currently fighting this disease and show our support in the fight!! To show our support the DT has planned our own “Think Pink” Celebration and we hope you can all join in. Each DT gal has created some Sweet-PINK treats and PINK Packaging to match using those beautiful Magnolia images. You can find some Magnolia stamps that were created specifically for Pink Ribbon Awareness at Magnolia-licious HERE. So have fun hopping along to see all the fabulous Pink-a-licious Creations and make sure to stop back by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to join in on the fun too!

This is a reminder to let you know that after this hop, the next stop is over at the awesome coloring queen MARY'S BLOG. Be sure to see how wonderful MARY'S creation is for more inspiration!!

Tilda by Princess Castle Party Invitation Card

Good morning everyone. Another card to share with you today is using more images from the newest Magnolia Princes and Princesses Collection. Besides coloring the Party Tilda with Copics, I also did airbrush on the background on the Princess Castle image. Boy oh boy, I sure had fun cutting the little clouds and adhered them after, lol

Here is my finished card

I am using this card for the following challenges:
Truly Scrumptious Challenge 77 - Lace
Simon Says Challenge - Anything Goes
Stamp n Doodle's Challenge - Embossing
Party Time Tuesdays Challenge PTT 61 - Anything Goes
Magnolia Down Under Challenge 139 - Bingo (Lace, dies/or punches, Ribbons)
Make It Monday Challenge 82 - Anything Goes
One Stitch At a Time Challenge 106 - Anything Goes
Creative Mondays CH4 - Anything Goes

Here are some pictures to show you how I airbrushed the background of this card. First, stamp the Princess Castle image on a piece of cardstock (I use the XPress it blending card). Then stamp image one more time on a piece of paper (can be scrap or a thin paper), cut the castle image out from the scrap or thin paper. Use removable adhesive to cover the cut out castle on top of the castle image of the XPress it blending card. Using the Airbrush to spray the top sky part with blue color.

Use Green color to spray the bottom part as grass field. After finish all the airbrushing, remove the cover image, then start coloring the castle as usual using Copic/Primascolors pencils. I also wanted to mention the Stay Put Craft Mat here. That is the kraft mat you see under the image. OMG, I can't tell you enough how much I love this mat. It's very thick, not like the flimsy ones that thin like a piece of paper. This mat is totally wonderful. It has a good rubber feel layer at the bottom that allows a good grip between the mat and my craft desk, so it wont' shift things around. If you haven't get one yet, I highly recommend it!! Very easy to clean up too~

I used the Please Join Princess sentiment inside as a party invitation

Magnolia Wild Tilda Party Invitation Card

Good morning everyone. Today is another Magnolia-licious Color Challenge. This month's host is the talented designer Norma Lee. Norma would like us to make a project using the colors of BROWN & BLUE.

My project using these colors today is a party invitations card made using the cute WILD TILDA image from the 2012 Sweet Crazy Love Collection.

All you have to do is to create a project using these three colors for a chance to win a $25.00 Gift Certificate from DIANA of Magnolia-licious!!

I am also using this card for more challenges, please scroll to the bottom of this post for the challenges details.

Here is my finished party invitation card. Did you see the bottle cap accent here? Well you can make that easily. All you have to do is to get a 'No More Shims Embossing Mat' and use it along with your Cuttlebug or Sizzix machine and you can flatten any bottle caps to create extra embellishments. I cut out a circle to put inside the cap using the same set of DP and added liquid crystal on top to create a shiny surface.

Here are all the inserts when they pulled out from the front pocket. It contains two tags and a fill in card for party information.

Valentine's Day - Air Dry Clay Box Favor or Treat Boxes

Good morning everyone. Today I am so excited to show you some fun favor boxes I did from the inspiration of Linda's Deco Den Post. I had no idea what is 'deco den' until watching Linda's tut. After checking out her cool tutorial clip, I thought 'wow, how fun! I got to try it'. So I stamped out a Mini Winter Tilda of the Sweet Christmas Dream Collection from Magnolia-licious. I quickly decorated and couldn't believe the short time it took me. So quick and I even forgot to give Tilda some blush on her cheek, hehe. Then the next day, I did two more (without an image) on some spare moment.

I think I should have cut out the image since the image was a bit too big with the die cut. Next time when I get more time, I will cute out the Magnolia images and try it again.

Since I am leaving in a few days to LA, I thought this will make a great little goodies to bring with me to some of the girls there, so I decided to do more. Thanks to my husband to help filling the 'cream' for me. Between himself and I, we did 6 boxes in an evening. I wish I would have more time, so I can do a better job :o)

Here are the boxes I did (with my husband's help on the cream)

I put some Kisses chocolate inside

I hope you will check out Linda's blog to see her wonderful tutorial and have a try on this. It's not only a quick project, but I had a lot of fun doing it. Thank you for stopping by and will see you soon :o)
