Welcome to Kamp

Sometimes thinking about the future causes me angst, especially at work these days for it is often difficult to predict how a company will fare. On the one hand, good management is an asset but if the market is lousy for a long time (and who can predict that), then what will it matter.

But other times, like tonight at dinner, I can see and feel that the future will be good--really good. I won't go into specifics--but it is good to hear when couples talk about getting married, when they plot out an upcoming vacation, when they talk about getting the families together, and starting one.

It was good to see and experience this tonight because I sometimes forget how good my past, present and hopefully the future will be despite outward appearances.

Starting to stress out. I will be on the road/out of office for long stretches of time until Zoinks...June:

- CT for a few days (no big deal)
- Training which is nice but away from office
- Cyprus and Greece or Chile
- Mexico (hoping to get out of this)
- Tampa for vacation
- Paris and Monaco (this will be good trip)
- Jacksonville for work (hoping to get out of this too)
- Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Malaysia (missing Mother's Day)

And that takes me to...May 19...
Back in NY/NJ in time for Springsteen on 21st and 23rd :)
then up to BC for my 20th reunion..
and back in time for the Capio BBQ...

Not that I've been around the block economically speaking-but I am now going through my 3rd down-cycle. I have noticed that I have gained substantial weight each time, which was thankfully mostly lost when the economy picked up. As I write this as he is downing a Zaro's cookie! But I always, need some thing sweet after I have a salad for lunch, which will be my MO, that is meal operandi, until I get down to my desired weight of [peak of DJIA (Dow Jones Industrial Average)^e]/pi. But if the market roared back, that would be easier.

I seriously think it's 11 degrees out there, but that's OK...It's 11 in here for me now. By that I mean M got me FLOOR seats for Springsteen for my bday--well, not exactly, one day before, but that's OK for the eleventh time seeing him :)

and we're working on a few more shows in May...
