Trump says Democrats should ‘expunge’ his impeachment

Still in a celebratory mood after his acquittal in the Senate, US President Donald Trump said Democrats should ‘expunge’ his impeachment, as their accusations against him were false.
    

“That’s a very good question,” Trump said when asked by a journalist whether the Democrats should “expunge” his impeachment in the House.

The president expressed confidence that “they should, because it was a hoax; it was a total political hoax.”

He ripped into his Democratic opponents, saying that “they’ve gone totally crazy” and claiming they suffer from a “bad case” of “Trump derangement syndrome.”

There’s a lot of evil on that side… I’ve gotten a tremendous amount done – more than anybody has gotten done in three years by far – but they’re not constructive people.

Trump pointed to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tearing up his State of the Union Address as a sign of their craziness. He said Pelosi’s actions were a “terrible thing,” insisting that the top Democrat “broke the law” by treating an official document that way, adding “I thought it was very disrespectful to the chamber, to the country.”


Trump was acquitted on two articles of impeachment – abuse of power and obstruction of congress – in the Republican-dominated Senate. Democrats had accused the president of pressuring his Ukrainian counterpart to launch an investigation into the activities of his political opponent Joe Biden and his son in the country. Both leaders denied it happened.

‘Friday night massacre’: Sondland follows Vindmans as Trump cleans house of ‘traitors/heroes’ following failed impeachment

The recall of US ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland seems to indicate that President Donald Trump is dismissing from service the officials who testified against him in the abortive impeachment proceedings.

“I was advised that the president intends to recall me effective immediately,” Sondland said in a statement on Friday evening, adding he was grateful to Trump for the opportunity to head the US mission in Brussels.

The announcement came just hours after Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and his twin brother Yevgeny were escorted from the White House, having apparently been removed from their posts on the National Security Council.

Sondland and Colonel Vindman were witnesses in the House-led impeachment proceedings against Trump last fall. After testifying that Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had not been inappropriate and that no “quid pro quo” had taken place, Sondland famously changed his written testimony to better match the narrative pushed by House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff  (D-CA) – only to qualify it during the public hearing by saying he had “presumed” things “in the absence of any credible explanation.”

Col. Vindman, who was one of the individuals listening on the call with Zelensky, complained to Congress that Trump had deviated from the talking points he had drafted for him. He also admitted he reported the call as problematic to an individual he refused to name – presumed to be the “whistleblower” whose complaint kicked off the whole affair.

Trump critics declared the departure of both witnesses from their government duties to be the beginning of a “Friday night massacre” – a reference to the 1973 “Saturday night massacre” in which President Richard Nixon fired his attorney general and his deputy amid the Watergate scandal.
One major difference, obviously, is that Trump has been acquitted by the Senate of both impeachment charges the House Democrats had leveled against him, and considers himself fully exonerated. While it is possible that the Vindmans may file a grievance over their dismissal, it is unclear whether such a claim would go anywhere. Ambassadors and most White House staff “serve at the pleasure of the president.”

Mysterious bank Jeffrey Epstein created received millions after his death

A mysterious bank Jeffrey Epstein opened in the Virgin Islands in 2014 — which has been seemingly stagnant for years — suddenly received millions of dollars from his estate after his death, the New York Times reported Tuesday. 

The fallen billionaire and accused sex trafficker applied to open one of the territories’ first international banking operations, Southern Country International, so he could chase the “dynamic discipline of international banking,” according to an application for the institution, obtained by the outlet. 

The application, where Epstein describes himself as one of the investment world’s “pioneers,” was ultimately approved in 2014 and allowed him to do business with offshore clients only, the outlet said. 

While the bank renewed its license five times since then, it’s unclear if it had any clients or actually conducted any business, until it received a windfall of cash from Epstein’s estate after he died, the outlet reported. 

The bank had $693,157 in assets when Epstein died back in August and then, four months later in December, the estate transferred $15.5 million to the bank in two separate checks. Southern Country then sent back $2.6 million, leaving the total deposit at $12.9 million, the outlet said, citing records filed by the estate last week.

By the end of the year, the millions were gone and the total assets at the bank were just below half a million dollars, the outlet said. 

During a court hearing Tuesday in the Virgin Islands on the estate, Judge Carolyn Hermon-Purcell, who’s overseeing Epstein’s $653 million in remaining assets, questioned the lawyers on the cash transfer, saying the “disclosure was not satisfactory,” the outlet reported. 

The estate responded by saying some of the payment was made in error, but the response wasn’t sufficient for Hermon-Purcell, who asked the estate to provide a full accounting of what happened. 
The executors for Epstein’s estate did not return a request for comment.

When Pelosi Ripped Trump’s Speech In Half, Was It A Harbinger Of What Is About To Happen To America During This Election?

It is a rare thing to witness a truly iconic moment happen on live television, but that is precisely what tens of millions of Americans had the opportunity to do on Tuesday night.  At the conclusion of President Trump’s State of the Union address, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped her copy of Trump’s speech in half in front of a nationwide audience.  We have never seen anything like that before in the entire history of this country, but of course so many unprecedented things have taken place during Trump’s presidency.

 Pelosi is claiming that she did not plan in advance to rip the speech in half, and at that moment she probably wasn’t doing much thinking at all, but it is a moment that will live in all of our memories for the rest of our lives.  Pelosi shocked the entire nation by tearing the speech in two, but more importantly I believe that her action was a perfect metaphor for what is about to happen to America.  We are more deeply divided than we have ever been, and during this election season I believe that we will see very frightening eruptions of anger and frustration all across the United States.

Nobody expected Trump and Pelosi to be friendly with one another on Tuesday night, and Trump immediately made national headlines when he refused to shake Pelosi’s hand…

Pelosi omitted the customary language about it being a high privilege and a distinct honor to introduce the president. Trump then handed the traditional copies of his speech to Vice President Mike Pence and to Pelosi, but when she reached out to shake his hand, he turned his back on her.

Considering the fact that Pelosi has been leading the charge to impeach Trump for the last several months, it really wasn’t a surprise that he didn’t want to shake her hand.

But when Pelosi ripped up Trump’s speech in front of the entire nation right after Trump concluded his remarks, it surprised everyone.  The following comes from USA Today…

In a remarkable display, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tore up the text of Trump’s speech and tossed it aside before Trump had left. Pelosi later waved the ripped pieces in the air, and audience members left in the chamber and public-viewing gallery could see Trump’s prominent signature.

I think that Pelosi will later deeply regret doing that, but I also believe that it will go down as one of the most iconic moments of 2020.

Following the speech a reporter asked her why she ripped Trump’s speech in half, and this was her reply…

“Because it was the courteous thing to do… It was the courteous thing to do considering the alternative.”

So precisely what would “the alternative” have been?

I wish that somebody would have asked Pelosi that question.

Subsequently, the official White House Twitter account harshly criticized Pelosi for her unprecedented gesture…

Speaker Pelosi just ripped up:

The survival of a child born at 21 weeks.
The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller.
A service member’s reunion with his family.
That’s her legacy.

 

Of course the left was absolutely thrilled by what Pelosi did, and they can’t say enough good things about her right now.


Sadly, this is yet another example of how deeply divided we are as a nation.

When Pelosi tore those pieces of paper in half, I believe that it was symbolic of what will happen to our entire country.

In other words, I believe that it is possible that we may have just witnessed what is known as a “harbinger”.  The following is how that word is defined by Merriam-Webster’s dictionary…

: something that foreshadows a future event : something that gives an anticipatory sign of what is to come

During the 2020 election season, America is literally going to be torn in half.  Right now, many Democrats absolutely hate President Trump, his family and his supporters, and that hatred is only going to intensify as we get closer to next November.

On the other side, many Republicans absolutely hate Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and all of their supporters, and that hatred will also intensify as we get closer to next November.
No matter who w
ins the election, the coming months are not going to be pretty.  In fact, I believe that we are about to witness the most chaotic election season in American history.

And once the election is over, a large portion of the country will not be willing to accept the result.  So I actually expect the aftermath of the election to be even worse than the election season itself.  We are on a very dangerous path, and I cringe when I think about what is coming.

To get an idea of where we stand at this moment, just consider the results of a recent Gallup survey…

 

According to Gallup, the 82-point partisan gap between Republican approval of the job Trump is doing (89%) and Democratic approval (7%) is the largest in the 74-year history of the poll. That gap breaks the previous record of 79 points that Trump set in his second year in office, in 2018. (Trump’s first year in office, 2017, was the sixth most partisan in history.)

But of course this trend did not begin when Trump entered the White House.
In fact, Gallup says that the “10 most partisan years in history” have all been within the past 16 years…

The 10 most partisan years in history have all occurred in the last 16 years, as measured by Gallup. Those 10 years include years from the presidencies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama as well as Trump.

“There have always been partisan gaps in ratings of president, just not to the degree seen over the past two decades,” wrote Gallup’s Jeffrey M. Jones in an analysis of the data.

 

No matter who wins next November, it isn’t going to heal this very deep divide.
Instead, we are about to see America ripped apart like never before.

So even though Nancy Pelosi didn’t even realize what she was doing, I think that she perfectly foreshadowed what is about to happen.

Very dark days are approaching, and the United States of America will never be the same again.

Bush.

Dr. Boyle’s position is in stark contrast to the mainstream media’s narrative of the virus being originated from the seafood market, which is increasingly being questioned by many experts.

Recently, American Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas also dismantled the mainstream media’s claim on Thursday that pinned the coronavirus outbreak on a market selling dead and live animals.
In a video accompanying his post, Cotton explained that the Wuhan wet market (which Cotton incorrectly referred to as a seafood market) has been shown by experts to not be the source of the deadly contagion.

Cotton referenced a Lancet study which showed that many of the first cases of the novel coronavirus, including patient zero, had no connection to the wet market — devastatingly undermining mainstream media’s claim.

“As one epidemiologist said: ‘That virus went into the seafood market before it came out of the seafood market.’ We still don’t know where it originated,” Cotton said.
“I would note that Wuhan also has China’s only bio-safety level four super laboratory that works with the world’s most deadly pathogens to include, yes, coronavirus.”

Such concerns have also been raised by J.R. Nyquist, the well known author of the books “Origins of the Fourth World War” and “The Fool and His Enemy,” as well as co-author of “The New Tactics of Global War”. In his insightful article he published secret speechs given to high-level Communist Party cadres by Chinese Defense Minister Gen. Chi Haotian explaining a long-range plan for ensuring a Chinese national renaissance – the catalyst for which would be China’s secret plan to weaponiz viruses.

Nyquist gave three different data points for making his case in analyzing Coronavirus. He writes:

The authors were clever enough to put Khan’s Virology Journal article together with news of a security breach by Chinese nationals at the Canadian (P4) National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg, where the novel coronavirus was allegedly stored with other lethal organisms. Last May, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called in to investigate; by late July the Chinese were kicked out of the facility. The chief Chinese scientist (Dr. Xiangguo Qiu) was allegedly making trips between Winnipeg and Wuhan.

Here we have a plausible theory of the NCoV organism’s travels: first discovered in Saudi Arabia, then studied in Canada from whence it was stolen by a Chinese scientist and brought to Wuhan. Like the statement of Taiwan’s intelligence chief in 2008, the GreatGameIndia story has come under intensive attack. Whatever the truth, the fact of proximity and the unlikelihood of mutation must figure into our calculations.

It’s highly probable that the 2019-nCoV organism is a weaponized version of the NCoV discovered by Saudi doctors in 2012.
 

Meanwhile, the mainstream media’s narrative still maintains that the origin of the 2019 Coronavirus is the Wuhan Seafood Market. After GreatGameIndia published the story on Coronavirus Bioweapon – not only were our databse tinkered with and our reports blocked by Facebook on the flimsy reason that they could not find GreatGameIndia Facebook page, but the report itself was viciously attacked by Foreign Policy magazine, PolitiFact (known widely as Facebook’s propaganda arm) and BuzzFeedNews.

It is not GreatGameIndia alone which is being viciously attacked. Zero Hedge, a popular alternate media blog was suspended by Twitter for publishing a story related to a study by Indian scientists finding 2019 Wuhan Coronavirus to be not naturally evolved, raising the possibility of it being created in a lab. Shockingly, the study itself came under intense online criticism by Social Media experts resulting in the scientists withdrawing the paper.

In retaliation India has launched a full-scale investigation against China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Indian government has ordered an inquiry into a study conducted in the Northeastern state of Nagaland (close to China) by researchers from the U.S., China and India on bats and humans carrying antibodies to deadly viruses like Ebola.

The study came under the scanner as two of the 12 researchers belonged to the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s Department of Emerging Infectious Diseases, and it was funded by the United States Department of Defense’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

The study, conducted by scientists of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in the U.S. and the Duke-National University in Singapore, is now being investigated for how the scientists were allowed to access live samples of bats and bat hunters (humans) without due permissions.

The results of the study were published in October last year in the PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases journal, originally established by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

We must have an investigation of the outbreak in Wuhan. The Chinese must grant the world total transparency. The truth must come out. If Chinese officials are innocent, they have nothing to hide. If they are guilty, they will refuse to cooperate.

The real concern here is whether the rest of the world has the courage to demand a real and thorough investigation. We need to be fearless in this demand and not allow “economic interests” to play a coy and dishonest game of denial. We need an honest inquiry. We need it now.

Due to inadvertent spills, chemotherapy drugs have been found on floors, counter tops, knobs, keyboards, printers, computers, and garbage cans. Most chemo is genotoxic, meaning that it interacts with genes (DNA) and causes mutations.

 And yes, genetic mutations are a known risk factor for developing cancer, while secondary cancers are a known side effect (actually a “direct effect”) of chemo.

Danish epidemiologists used cancer data from the 1940s through the 1980s to report a significantly increased risk of leukemia among oncology nurses and doctors. In 2009, another Danish study of over 92,000 nurses determined that they had an increased risk for brain cancer, breast cancer, and thyroid cancer.

 Chemotherapy is a derivative of the mustard gas used in World War I. As the Seattle Times reported, “A just-completed study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (10 years in the making and the largest to date) confirms that chemo continues to contaminate the work spaces where it’s used and in some cases is still being found in the urine of those who handle it…”

Yet drugs (like Tamoxifen) are routinely used to “treat” breast cancer even though the World Health Organization declared Tamoxifen to be a “known carcinogen” in 1996. The level of quackery in the cancer industry is amazing.

Cancer Treatments

 But natural medicine cancer researchers have been curing cancer for many decades.

For example, Dr. Royal Rife, a microbiologist, had a 100 percent cure rate on cancer by reverting cancer cells into normal cells. He did this in the 1930s by using gentle electrical currents (which is one form of “electromedicine”) to kill the microbes which are inside the cancer cells.

It is microbes inside the cancer cells that are blocking the production of ATP energy. Killing these microbes is what allows cancer cells to be reverted into normal cells.

Judicial Watch: Eight Iowa Counties Have Total Registration Rates Larger than Eligible Voter Population – at Least 18,658 Extra Names on Iowa Voting Rolls

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that eight Iowa counties have more voter registrations than their eligible voting-age population. According to Judicial Watch’s analysis of data released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) in 2019 and the most recent U.S. Census Bureau’s five-year American Community Survey, eight Iowa counties are on the list of 378 counties nationwide that have more voter registrations than citizens living there who are old enough to vote, i.e., counties where registration rates exceed 100%. These 378 counties combined had about 2.5 million registrations over the 100%-registered mark. In Iowa, there are at least 18,658 “extra names” on the voting rolls in the eight counties at issue.

Under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), Judicial Watch sent notice-of-violation letters to 19 large counties in five states (California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado) that it intends to sue unless the jurisdictions take steps to comply with the law and remove ineligible voter registrations. Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act requires jurisdictions to take reasonable efforts to remove ineligible registrations from its rolls.

In addition to the eight listed above, Polk County, Iowa’s largest, has an unusually high registration rate of 95.9% of total eligible citizen voting-age population.“Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections and Iowa need to undertake a serious effort to address its voting rolls,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.Judicial Watch is the national leader in enforcing the National Voters Registration Act, which requires states to take reasonable steps to clean their voting rolls.In 2018, the Supreme Court upheld a massive voter roll clean up that resulted from a Judicial Watch settlement of a federal lawsuit with Ohio.California also settled a similar lawsuit with Judicial Watch that last year began the process of removing up to 1.5 million “inactive” names from Los Angeles County voting rolls. Kentucky also began a cleanup of up to 250,00 names last year after it entered into a consent decree to end another Judicial Watch lawsuit.

Report: First Brit to Contract Coronavirus Refused Drugs And Beat Infection With 'Hot Whisky And Honey'

THE first Brit known to have caught the coronavirus has told The Sun how he beat the killer bug with a "glass of hot whisky and honey".

Teacher Connor Reed, 25, was diagnosed with coronavirus by docs in Wuhan two months ago.

He went to hospital after struggling to breathe and could not shake off a bad cough — all classic symptoms.

Shocked Connor was kept in hospital for two weeks.

Connor, originally from Llandudno, North Wales, has lived in China for three years.

He said: "'I was stunned when the doctors told me I was suffering from the virus. I thought I was going to die but I managed to beat it.

"I used the inhaler which helped control the cough and drank a hot whisky with honey until that ran out.

"It's an old fashioned remedy but it seemed to do the trick.

"I did refuse to take the antibiotics the doctors prescribed me because I didn't want to take any medicines."

Though the sample sizes are still very low, there have been a few indicators suggesting coronavirus may affect Asians more strongly due to increased Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 receptors in their lungs.

A study came out on Jan 26 suggesting that was the case.

From the study, "Single-cell RNA expression profiling of ACE2, the putative receptor of Wuhan 2019-nCov":

A comparison between eight individual samples demonstrated that the Asian male one has an extremely large number of ACE2-expressing cells in the lung.

[...] We also noticed that the only Asian donor (male) has a much higher ACE2-expressing cell ratio than white and African American donors (2.50% vs. 0.47% of all cells). This might explain the observation that the new Coronavirus pandemic and previous SARS-Cov pandemic are concentrated in the Asian area.

The only other study I've seen since then was one from Chinese researchers that appeared to involve all Chinese patients which found men may be more likely to catch the virus than women.

The death rate of coronovirus so far has reportedly been about 2 percent, whereas SARS was 9.6 percent. The Spanish Flu death rate was estimated at anywhere from 10 to 20 percent.

The virus is still spreading like crazy according to Johns Hopkins' tracker despite China's extreme quarantine measures.


Ignore the chart leveling off at the end, that's just a programming bug which happens every day when they do partial updates, when the official numbers come out from China so far it has always shot right back up.

There's 11 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US.

Health officials Sunday announced three more cases of the coronavirus in California, bringing the state's total to six and the country's total to 11 cases.

Late Sunday, a San Benito County official said a man who had recently traveled back from Wuhan, China, and his wife were confirmed to have the virus and isolating themselves in their home.

The man arrived at San Francisco International Airport on January 24 and was screened and found to be healthy and asymptomatic, Dr. Martin Fenstersheib, interim health officer for the county, said in a news conference.

The next day, the man developed symptoms including a cough and low-grade fever, Fenstersheib said. A few days later, his wife began showing symptoms as well.

On the positive front, the Chinese managed to complete a hospital in Huoshenshan in just ten days which will have around 1,000 beds.



Thailand claims to have successfully treated two patients with a cocktail of HIV and flu drugs.
 

"The doctors combined the anti-flu drug oseltamivir with lopinavir and ritonavir, antivirals used to treat HIV, Kriengsak said, adding the ministry was awaiting research results to prove the findings," the South China Morning Post reported Sunday.

If this Brit got better off hot whisky and honey it's possible they just got better on their own.

Adam Schiff-Ukraine connection comes under scrutiny

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who has played a leading role in investigating the Trump-Ukraine scandal, is facing questions about his own connection to a Soviet-born businessman who has raised money for his campaign and whose company has received lucrative defense contracts from Ukraine's government.

 

That man is Igor Pasternak, the founder and CEO of Worldwide Aeros Corp., which makes blimps for military and commercial customers. His business has also been involved in weapons manufacturing, working with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to produce a modified version of the M4 and M16 rifles, according to reports.

In 2013, Pasternak hosted a fundraiser in Washington for Schiff, who later came to embrace a strong stance in support of the United States sending military aid to Ukraine during its conflict with Russia.
“Before this time, Schiff rarely, if ever, mentioned Ukraine,” Fox News’ Laura Ingraham said on her show Thursday night, after detailing Schiff’s connection to Pasternak. “But after the fundraiser, he used multiple television appearances to basically demand that we send money and arms to them.”

Neither Schiff nor Pasternak returned requests from Fox News for comment on Thursday.

But in a February 2015 appearance on CNN, Schiff was asked by anchor Wolf Blitzer, “You want the United States right now to not only provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but also start providing serious weapons, right?”


He replied: “I do. And I think it's overdue.”

In another appearance on CNN in February 2015, Schiff said, “I think that the United States should be very forward-leaning on Ukraine.”

According to his online biography, Pasternak was born in the former Soviet Union, started his first company in Ukraine, immigrated to the United States in 1993 and is now a U.S. citizen. Since that time, Pasternak’s company has been awarded Ukraine defense contracts.

An invitation for the July 18, 2013, fundraiser, posted online, invited guests to Pasternak’s home on Capitol Hill. “Please join Igor Pasternak for a taste of Ukraine Reception honoring Congressman Adam Schiff,” the invite said.

To attend the fundraisers, sponsors were encouraged to contribute $2,500, and guests were asked to pay $1,000. The invite said checks were payable to “Adam Schiff for Congress.”

An online search of donor records shows that Pasternak has donated money to politicians and organizations of both parties.

Pasternak’s airship company, Worldwide Aeros Corp., is based in Montebello, Calif. The company has won Pentagon contracts to develop airships for surveillance and cargo delivery -- including one contract reportedly worth $50 million.

In 2017, Pasternak was quoted in Newsweek talking about his company’s efforts to produce a variant of the M16 rifle in Ukraine. "The M16 project was conceived some time ago, as the Ukrainian armed forces, border guards and National Guard will with time switch to NATO standards," Pasternak said during a press conference in Kiev at the time.

The scrutiny comes as Democrats ramp up their impeachment inquiry into Trump. Democrats are moving ahead with those efforts after a whistleblower complained that the president, in a July phone call, pressed the president of Ukraine to investigate the business dealings of former Vice President Joe Biden's son, Hunter, in that country.

Schiff has been singled by Republicans, including Trump himself, in recent days: Republicans have decried how Schiff, during a hearing last week, read a "parody" version of Trump’s phone call with Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Republicans also slammed Schiff after the Intelligence Committee acknowledged this week that the whistleblower alleging misconduct had reached out to Schiff's panel before filing a complaint.

Jeffrey Epstein prison guard's lawyer 'highly likely' to seek dismissal of client's charges

 

A lawyer for one of the two guards on duty when disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein killed himself argued Thursday that it was "highly likely" he would seek to dismiss criminal charges against his client on the grounds that he was unfairly targeted and made a scapegoat for security lapses in the Manhattan detention center.

 

Montell Figgins, the lawyer for Michael Thomas, said his client and co-defendant Tova Noel were "selectively prosecuted" to cover up serious "inadequacies" of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

"The death of a billionaire in the correctional system brings a lot of heat from people in high positions," Figgins told reporters following the hearing. "They want to make an example of these two people."

He added that people in similar positions had not been treated the same.

New lawsuit claims Jeffrey Epstein trafficked girls until 2018

 

 

Thomas and Noel have pleaded not guilty to charges they falsely certified to conducting inmate checks during Epstein's final moments. Investigators said the two guards were sleeping and browsing the Internet during the two-hour period before Epstein's death.

Epstein, 66, killed himself in his New York City prison cell in August after he was arrested on sex trafficking charges. The billionaire had pleaded not guilty to sexually abusing girls as young as 11 and 12 in New York and Florida in the early 2000s.

Thursday's hearing took an overly dramatic turn when U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres and Jason Foy, Noel's lawyer, got into a fiery exchange over a new trial date the judge had set at the request of lawyers representing both defendants.

Torres moved the trial date to June 22 from April 20.

The new date didn't sit well with Foy who said he would be in Italy on a family vacation, though he hadn't actually booked any travel plans yet.

The judge told him to use Skype if he had a problem, which led to an angry Foy responding, "No, no, no. I will not use Skype."

According to the New York Post, the back-and-forth between judge and lawyer escalated with Torres repeatedly warning Foy to "sit down" while Foy argued, "This is not just about vacation."
