So many great times and wonderful memories shared with her. She was such a fun, sweet, stylish, funny, amazing woman. I will never forget going to her house on Sundays and having popcorn and root-beer. Eating lemon drops from her tiny kitchen. Her TV always had a golf competition on. Every year going up to watch the 24th of July parade, have a big BBQ and floating the St. Anthony river and playing at the sand bar. Riding her bikes down to play at the horsey park. Playing in her backyard cement swim pool. She always had a strawberry plant in her backyard and pretty white edelweiss. She dressed so cute and fashionable. Never left the house without lipstick on. Her hair was always teased up big and perfect and never moved. She loved taking us to eat at Chizs restaurant and big J's. Most of all, I will remember how she loved her family so much. Her house was decorated with pictures everywhere of her grand-kids. She was at every family baptism, graduation, bridal/baby showers, and even birthday parties. She wanted her family to be together and make fun memories together. That is what is most important in life!
The funeral was on Friday, so Diana and I pack up our kids and left Wednesday afternoon back to Rexburg. Chris and Brayden had to stay in Boise so we did the trip by our self and it actually wasn't that bad. The kids did awesome. The funeral was so nice. A good reminder of her amazing 99 years of life and what a wonderful woman she was. It was good to see my cousins and extended family. We all have such fun memories with nana that will never be forgotten.
I was glad we had to come back to Rexburg because we were able to go see Bonnie get another award. It doesnt surprise me at all- She should be awarded dailey for all the amazing things she has accomplished! She got the Scouting life time achievement award. And a very well deserved award- she basically earned 5 eagle scout awards for her 5 boys.
I forgot my camera- uggg- so these pics are from my phone. She looked beautiful and we are all so proud of her!!
This is a little random, but Diana gave Avy her first hair trim while we were in Rexburg. It wasn't much, but hopefully it will help keep those curls from getting so tangled!
Diana wanted to stay in Rexburg for a few more days because it is spring break, but we had to get back to Boise and see our daddy! So my awesome dad flew us home! Ill take an hour flight over a 5 hour car drive any day. Thanks dad! You are the best
