Maddy's 1st haircut

Over the weekend, we took Maddy to get her first real haircut. She was anything but thrilled about the whole experience. As soon as we arrived at the salon, she started crying, so I had to hop up on the little carousel horse chair with her as she got her haircut. I think it turned out really cute! At this age, she has more hair than Ellie did at 2--her first haircut was at 2 1/2 yrs!

Easter Sunday

Here are the girls in their beautiful Easter dresses. I thought that they looked so adorable--just like little princesses! (Thanks Leanne)

Today, Ellie made her singing debut in the ward primary choir in sacrament meeting. I must admit that I even got a little teary-eyed seeing my little girl up on stage with all the other primary kids. I was so proud of Ellie--she even sang the majority of the words. She is growing up too quickly!

We had a really nice Easter dinner with some friends. Here are the kids doing the traditional egg crack. Mark was champion, but there were a few of us who questioned his victory...

A fabulous Easter day!

Dyeing Easter eggs

The Easter bunny visited our house early this morning. Along with baskets full of fun surprises, he also left a HUGE mess! Easter grass was strewn all over the girls room with a trail leading down the stairs, along with a jelly bean trail leading to the first clue for a fun Easter egg treasure hunt. It was such a busy morning, that after baths, we finally got around to dyeing our Easter eggs which made us a wee bit late for church. The girls thought it was one of the funnest things ever!

Maddy even got in on the decorating--she loved it!

La Jolla Cove

Today was so gorgeous (80+), that Ellie and I talked Mark into taking us to the beach. In between running around, I was able to snap some cute pictures of the girls.

Disneyland--Round 2

The Disneyland passes we got last week were 2 day passes, so with my sister Ally and her family in town this week, we decided to meet up with them and take the girls around the park together.

The girls and I watched the Princess story time and attended the royal coronation while we waited to meet up with Matt, Ally and Lily.

The girl cousins outside the tiki room--I think Lily was just as excited as Maddy was to see all those birds singing. And of course we had to get our dole whip--yum!!

Our passes were 2 day park hoppers, so since I hadn't been to the CA adventure park since I was pregnant with Ellie, we decided to head over and check it out. A fun place to hang out.

All in all, it was a very long day--9:30 am--10:30 pm, but we had so much fun making memories! Maybe next time daddy will come with us...

The next day, we headed to Sea World and watched the new Shamu Rocks show and the Sesame Street beach party. (Unfortunately, my camera died after taking all those pics at Disneyland the day before., so this is the only pic I was able to take)

Disneyland 2008

Uncle Eddie and Uncle Tommy are in town this week on spring break, so we decided to go to Disneyland yesterday with both of them and Grandma Nancy! We were there all day long and had such a blast!!

The classic Disneyland shot (minus the guy with the moustache!).
This year's theme is "Year of a million dreams"

Dumbo is still one of Ellie's favorite rides!

Ellie always likes to drive the car in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

After much anticipation, we were finally able to ride "Finding Nemo" this trip! Maddy was in heaven staring out the window of the submarine at all the sea creatures.

We had such a great time and get to go back next week too! The funniest part of the whole day was taking Maddy in to the Tiki room. She was literally rocking out to the music, jumping up and down like a mad woman! She was oohing and aahing over all the singing birds and we just couldn't stop laughing a her!! Such a great day!!
