First day of school August 1, 2011

Well it is hard to believe that summer has come to an end!!! When you live in Hawaii it feels like summer all of the time, so it really didn't seem like summer was over. Summer break was only 2 months because they have so many days off during the year so that was another reason why summer went by so fast! I didn't think I was ready for school to start but now that I have just the two little girls at home and it is a lot quieter I think I am ok with it! All of the kids did awesome on their first day! Brooklyn loved middle school and said it is so much better than elementary. Beretta loved wearing the new clothes he has been asking me for a month to wear and Brit was so cute but the tough little cowboy was nervous and was worried about who was going to watch the girls when I showered every day. I am so proud of my kids for their courage to go to a new school and make new friends. It is especially hard where they are the minority in more ways than one. I love that they are learning more things about life and getting to know a new things about different cultures. We will miss going to the beach every other day but glad to be back in a routine!!!

I bet you all thought we have fallen off the face of the earth!

We have not fallen off of the face of the earth, just the face pf the mainland! I am feeling really bad that it has been so long since I have blogged and I love seeing what everyone else is doing these days...so I figured since none of my kids were hogging the computer I would hurry and do some updating(if I remember how to do this). I am not even going to start where I left off becaue so much has happened in a year and a half but in a nut shell we moved to Hawaii 10 months ago and LOVE it here but miss our Utah family and friends so much. We spend most of our time at the beach or at the horse stables. There is a church on our small island but there are about 10 kids total in the branch and 5 of them are mine!!!! We love the friends we have made and are so thankful for making us feel at home.
School starts Monday august 1st and Brooklyn will be in middle school and has lots of friends, takes hula lessons, Judo and ceramics! Beretta will be in 2nd grade and of course his teacher loved him last year, did wrestling in the spring and is becoming quite the artist and loves to be on the computer watching movies and playing games. He was baptised in April in the pacific ocean(how many people can say that). We were so happy to have Clyde and Eva(Codys dad and step-mom), my mom and dad and my niece Sydnie here for the special occasion! Brit will be in kindergarten!!! I have mixed emotions on this one:( He goes to work with Cody quite a bit so I think it is going to be harder on Cody than me. Brit makes friends with EVERYONE! We see someone at the beach and he comes and asks me if he can go and play with that kid(any boy between 2 and 20) and I say go and ask them and within minutes he has a new best friend. He LOVES the beach and wants to surf so bad but his boogie board will have to do for a year or two. He did wrestling as well and LOVED it. Brit LOVES life and plays so hard every day and is the first one to sleep every night. Brynlie is 3 and is still our boo boo. She is a total "blonde" and she says her best friend is Brit and Lullie(Lillie) and she tells us every day she wants to move back to ewtah(utah)so she can play with Lillie. She takes Hula lessons as well but falls asleep half of the time and loves to play on Brooklyn and Beretta's itouch or on my phone. Brielle will be 2 in 3 days:( Not quite sure what to think on that as well?!? She is a spitfire and takes no crap from ANYONE!!! She was my best baby but you would never know that now! She is to smart and knows how to get exactly what she wants. She is our energizer bunny! Last night I was up with her until midnight and then she was up at 6:30!!! She was not like this until I took her bottle away! Tonight she is getting rubbed down with Lavander oil. She has the cuttest blonde curls which makes her hair so easy to do. Cody is loving his job and he works a lot!!! I am still the maid, chef, taxi, nanny, hairdresser..... In the year that we have been here Codys mom, dad, step-mom, sister Sharla, niece and nephew(Riley and Kelsie) and my parents, sister Ashlie and 3 of her kids(Allie, Sydnie and Nate), our friends Brad and Elene and their boys, Tyrell and Jessica and their kids, Chad and Tiffany Beus and their kids have all came to see us. Brooklyn also had a friend from Utah and her family come for the day. We LOVE having visitors and hope to see you all soon! Enjoy the pics. They are not in any sort of order!
Cody with Paul Walker(Fast and the Furious) and some of his employees. One of the many celebreties or pro athletes he has had the pleasure of meeting.
Well I did forget to load the pictures and then write what I wanted to say! Oh well! I will remember for next time...maybe! I have tons of pics but blogging takes FOREVER! I think I prefer facebook!

Mother of the year-NOT

Okay so if any of you people out there own a Bumbo I strongly reccomend not putting it on a high surface! Brielle LOVES the Bumbo as did Brit and Brynlie. None of them have ever been able to get out of the Bumbo until Brielle somehow mastered it. On February 8th(Brit's birthday-sorry Brit) while sitting in it she slipped out somehow and rolled off of the kithen cupboard:( She never lost consciousness but screamed bloody murder, started puking and wanting to go to sleep. I immediately headed for the ER(no make-up or hair done) while Cody took Brit and Brynlie to his dads house. On the way to the hospital I called my mom to come meet me there as well and then my phone rang and it was Brooklyn saying she didn't feel well. I called my mom back and asked her to go and get Brooklyn first. Cody, Clyde and my mom all got to the hospital about the same time. Cody and Grandpa Clyde gave her a quick blessing just before they took her in for a CAT scan. The result of the scan showed a skull fracture and so they sent us to Primary Childrens for a 24 hour observation. We opted in driving her there ourselves rather than by ambulance because she already seemed to be doing much better. She was getting her coloring back and acting like her happy self.

Once we got to the ER at Primary Childrens and was admitting us we kept getting asked over and over how her accident happened. At first I thought nothing of it and retold the story exactly how it happened every time. Then a nurse from the Neurology unit came in and was asking us questions and wanted to take off all of her clothes to check for any further injuries when it hit me that they were looking for any other signs of abuse on her. At first I couldn't believe that they thought that I would abuse such a CUTE thing and then I realized they were just doing there job. How sad that they have to do that but I know there are people out there who abuse their kids):

After a long 24 hours of observation we were able to take her home and she has been just fine since. I guess we will really know of any head trauma when she is about 16 years old. Oh yeah, that is when her brain will most likely turn to mush anyway. NOT looking forward to that. Even though 5 little kids are hard I would rather have them at the ages they are now than teenagers(I THINK).
I know I have said it before but I LOVE Primary Childrens Hospital. The staff there is AMAZING but I seriously NEVER want to go there again!!!!

Brielle in bed at Primary Childrens. Those little jammies looked so cute on her. So glad everything turned out alright because I don't know what I would do without my little blue eyed baby, she has brought us so much happiness the last 7 months. Love Ya Bri

Our most favorite thing about summer!

Brielle Eva was born July 30th and weighed in at 6 lb 4 oz and has BLUE EYES!!!! I can't imagine our life without her. Five kids has been a huge adjustment but she is the BEST baby. She has pretty much slept through the night since our first night home from the hospital and now at four months she sleeps between 8 and ten hours every night. She smiles at anyone who looks at her and only cries when she is extremely tired or hungry. Her middle name is after Cody's stepmom and I think she looks like my grandma Johnson. All of the kids love her to pieces and fight over who gets to hold her when she wakes up in the morning. I am so grateful that I have mine and Cody's family around. They helped out so much with the kids and meals and just keeping me sane! We have the BEST family in the WORLD!

Brielle's first bath at home by Grandma Lil and Brooklyn

Aunt Katie was out of town the day Brielle was born but came to see her first thing the morning after she got home. Katie kept going into my bathroom and looked sick and I thought why did she come see my new baby when she is so sick but I soon figured out she was PREGNANT!!!

Aunt Ashlie made it to the hospital just in time for the delivery after getting my other kids ready for the day and to wherever they went?

The proud daddy!

Summer 2009

Brynlie LOVES the gator! She couldn't drive it herself but she would sit in it until someone gave her a ride.
This is the face she pulls when she says "CHEESE".

swim lessons(in Elk Ridge at 8:30 a.m.)+summer reading(south end of SF)+dancing(north end of SF)+4 kids+8 months pregnant+softball(luckily Brooklyns team NEVER practiced, just had two games a week)=A CRAZY JUNE
What was I thinking?!?! We had a fun summer and hated it to end. We spent most of it at Brooklyn's softball games, roping at the Pratt's or Benjamin arena. I used my video camera alot and was always chasing Brynlie around so I didn't take many pics:( Brit LOVED swim lessons and is a complete fish and Beretta is a little water shy but getting better. They love their teacher and 2nd cousin Natalie(she is the BEST).

This day started out nice and warm but quickly turned wet and muddy. Cody and the kids tore out the old flower bed and planted a whole new one. They got so muddy and everything was such a mess but they had a blast. Cody and I had a babysitter coming that night so we could go out and and ended up taking all of the kids and the babysitter to Ruby River for dinner for (sorry again to the people who they seated us next to).

A sunday drive to Birdseye. Another what were we thinking moment! All of the kids and Cody caught fish, we saw alot of turkeys an just enjoyed a cool evening in the mountains.

Can you see the turkeys?
