The NICU
Our little man had to spend 48 hours in the NICU. He had a high level of Jaundice that the doctor was concerned about. So just like Katie we had another "sun baby." I've decided the NICU is a sad but necessary place. There were little babies that had been there for weeks and their mothers were not sure when they would be released. I feel blessed that Heavenly Father answered our prayers and he was able to come home so soon.

What a great SURPRISE!!!
So I had NO IDEA my sister-in-laws and friends were planning this!
My friends Cari and Caroline said they were having a fun cookie decorating activity at Gardener's Village and wanted to know if I was up for going with the kids. Any time with my friends is always a yes for me!
Well when we arrived Cari didn't have her kids which I thought was kinda strange. Then after only being there for an hour I get a call from Dan saying "you have to be back home in 15 minutes." When I asked him why, he said there was a very important package that they could only deliver at 11:45am. So I was furious at my "neglectful husband" for not telling me before about this "package". So I'm driving home and start wondering what is REALLY going on.
When I get home I found a wonderful SURPRISE BABY SHOWER! Sandra (my sister-in-law) had decorated beautifully with balloons and streamers and a big cake! Wow...she really knows how to throw a PARTY! Some good friends and family were here to celebrate.
THanks guys you really are the best! Sandra thanks for all your hard work and time (I loved it).
I wish Dan had taken more pics but here's what we have...

Some random pics
My good friend Cari's husband has traveled to India several times on business trips. These are some authentic Indian dresses we received from them for Christmas. Wow I think I might even love them more than the girls do. On second thought no. They seriously felt like princesses today... Who knows what I'm going to do with a boy ?!?
We made princess tiaras this week. Well...they actually turned into "indian hats" according to Katie.

Some late Christmas pictures.
This year we celebrated Christmas in California with my side of the family. The Sunday before we left we had a small Christmas party with Dan's fam at our house.
The best part was playing candy land and hide-and-seek with grandpa and Auntie Sandra after the girls opened their gifts.
Sharon is so fun to play hide-and-seek with. She lets you know the whole time you are (pretending) to look for her where she is.
Mom: "where could that little Sharon Combs be? I have no idea!"
Sharon: I'm in your closet mommy (just in case I didn't hear...again) I'm in your closet mommy!
We then spent a fun relaxing week in Sacramento with my family! Some highlights...
1. Me and Dan getting hooked to the game Rummikub.
2. Seeing how much Sharon and Kami-cakes adore one another. They are best buds! Last night she was helping me set the table for dinner. She was so excited to set a spot for Kami and was so sad when I said Kami is in California and wont be having dinner with us in Utah. She just cried and said "I want Kami."
3. Seeing Katie's face light-up when she received her princess Tiana dress-up for Christmas. It broke the bank but was so worth it! Before we left her oupa bought her a Jasmine dress-up which she loves! A girl can't have too many dresses right;)
4. Spending a night with my hubby in San Francisco for my birthday. We watched "THe Blind Side" and "Avatar" (both great flicks). We had dinner on the sunny Fisherman's Wharf.
5. Seeing my sister's gorgeous new house.
6. Loving my sister's amazingly wonderful 3 month old son Dylan;)
7. Just being with my family. When Dan and I got back yesterday we both felt a little sad.
