Holly and stencils
Good morning it's Jane here with my 2nd post to share some inspiration with you for the current stencils theme challenge. I chose to make 2 Christmas cards for the challenge. My first used very contemporary colours.
This time I have gone for a very traditional Christmas palette.
My stencil is the Tim Holtz holly and I used my favourite Tim Santa stamp..these just epitomize the Christmas spirit to me.
I have a step by step over on my blog here where a very frosty warm welcome awaits you.
There are only 44 sleeps...ho ho ho...meanwhile you have another 19 days to enter our challenge! We would love to see what you come up with.

November 2017 - Stencils
Welcome everyone to our November Challenge.
Our theme this month is "Stencils", chosen by the lovely Gabrielle
I love stencils and when given the opportunity to choose the theme this month it was an easy choice! In this journal page I have six stencils - two different numbers, arrows, speckles, tracks (under the leaves) and plus symbols. If you'd like to see more on this, please pop over to my blog!

Brrrrr the temperature certainly knows that we have reached November. We are counting down to Christmas now and I make no secret that this is my favourite time of the year. I am in full Christmas crafting mode. For the fun stencils theme this month I made one contemporary styled and one vintage card. Today I am sharing my contemporary one... I do love blue with silver and white.
I have a full step by step over on my blog here where a chilly warm welcome awaits you. Keep snug, I think it is now time to get out my scarf and hat. I wonder if one of these snowflakes will flutter down soon?
Bye for now,
Sue

Hello everybody,
it's Monika here
with the first project of our November challenge: Stencil it!
At this card, I created a stencilled background using two Distress markers for the flowers and two for the leaves.
As I really liked my background I didn't want to hide any part of it, so I decided to use a vellum for the text.
More details on my blog!

The colours of Autumn are so glorious. Teamed with the real fern leaf that I collected and pressed last year, I feel that this portrays the joys of Autumn so well. For more detail, feel free to pop over to my blog.

Now on to Miriam's top 3 and DTSM.
We had 42 entries this month and there were so many interpretations of 'metal'. After much deliberating, my top 3 are as follows:
No. 14 Plony
I love the shabby chic and vintage feel of this card - it shows the softer side of 'metal' and is perfect for a male themed card.
No. 41 Lula
I love this project because the paper has been distressed perfectly to look like metal.
No. 12 Ionabuny
Subtle way of adding metal in a beautiful autumnal themed project.
DTSM
September's DTSM goes to No. 15 Lady Penelope.
Penny has embraced the metal theme and turned a wooden project into a metal dream! An amazing transformation using different type of 'metal' finishes.
