 This is a commissioned card for a special sister, using Kanban foiled paper background with lots of flowers and butterflies and a couple of sentiment panels, including the Anna Griffin one bottom right.

For a tram driver


A commissioned card for a tram driver's birthday ... his route. I managed to put the card together digitally, adding the Happy Birthday instead of the destination of the tram and then printed and added the Best Wishes sentiment, mounted on green mirror card and then on to a white card blank.

Lovely jubbly birthday


A commissioned card for a lover of the 'Only Fools and Horses' comedies, using some offcut pieces of card as background and download pictures matted on to other pieces of offcuts and with the sentiment printed from computer.

Happy 1st birthday


Because I'm not walking as much atm (well, hardly doing much walking at all), I'm taking the opportunity to blog some of the cards I made earlier. Since lockdown, I've made lots of cards, including quite a few commissions, but don't know when I'll get round to blogging them. At least, I'm getting back into the swing of blogging more than just for my own challenges.

 A commissioned card for Sophia's first birthday using a Hunkydory backround with banner with the letters of the name and castle, unicorn etc - stickers from Poundland and, of course, the all-important number 1.

Happy birthday, Grandson


This is a commissioned card that was made some time ago, but never blogged. The background papers on the A5 card are Basic Grey Periphery. William is keen on rowing and has a dog like the one I've shown.

 Not good photos - looked much better irl - can't take other photos as the card went ages ago.

Beer and rugby


The papers and frame for this card were from a Create and Craft set, as was the beer topper. I printed the sentiment on a spare piece of one of the papers and coloured in a Paper Nation rugby player.

Celebrate 7th birthday


This is another card I made ages ago (I know that my neighbour will recognise it, because she commissioned it). Two pieces of DCWV papers for the background with some grosgrain ribbon, a hearts and the letters and number. The little digital image from Bugaboo, coloured with spectrum noir pens, was cut out with a Spellbinders marvelous squares die and mounted on to another in that set.

For a film media student


I made this card ages ago (it was a commission for a young man who is into film media etc - and in fact, I've just made this year's birthday card for the same young gentleman - lol!).

 The background paper is from a Crafter's Companion pad, but I can't remember which one (too long ago). The film strip was a rub on that I'd had for ages (still got some), using up scraps to fill the frames. I've had the buttons with felt for a long time and thought they fitted the theme.. The sentiments were generated by my dymo letratag.

Sometimes life's a puzzle


Although I'm not feeling brilliant, I'm trying to take my mind off my aches and pains. I was looking through some of my craft stuff and came across some jigsaws - pearlescent card, which I'd already run through my xyron ready to use ... ages OK and forgot about them. 

 I got out a large carabelle  studio zentangle stamp (bought ages OK and I confess it's never been used till today), inked with versamarkand put the jigsaw on to the middle and then heat embossed with black detail powder.

 Before mounting on the black card I took out three pieces and generated the wording with my dymo letratag.

 It's hard to see on the photo, but irl you can see that there are jigsaw pieces making up the whole piece.

 I used to blog every day, but for ages now have got into the habit of only blogging for my own Christmas weekly challenge and my monthly patterned paper one. I'm going to try and blog more with other things. So this is a bit of a fresh start.

CHNC challenge 499


This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 499 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'use a die cut or punch'.

 My card is a simple one made with a Crafter's Companion Gemini cut and emboss folder using some lovely mirror card mounted on t a matt silver and then on to a scalloped edge landscape opening A5 card blank.

CHNC challenge 498


This is my design card for my CHNC challenge 498 -  please click on the link to find out what it's all about and I hope you'll be able to join in with your Christmas designs - anything goes as long as it's Christmas with the optional theme of  'use some red'.

 The background paper for my card is from Kaisercraft twig and berry paper pad. The four squares were part of a Kanban kit bought some years ago and they had been left waiting for an opportunity to use them. The card was finished off with the Merry Christmas sticker.

 I've just noticed that the top left square isn't straight ... putting that right - lol!!

The background paper for this card is from a Kaisercraft pad, with strips added from other pieces. The lovely reindeer has spent too much time in my Christmas box and needed to be released - lol! A couple of sparkly snowflakes finished the card off.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2020 challenge


This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2020 challenge. .If you make anything that includes some patterned paper you can link your entries and you might be the randomly chosen winner of the lovely prize that I'm giving away. This card was made using Hunkydory patterned pieces  of card. I started with an A5 white card blank, cutting off a piece at the bottom and using this for the folds near the base. I think this style of card must have a name, but I don't know .... if anyone can tell me, I'd be grateful. Anyway, it's decorated inside and out, with the addition of the flowers from Hobbycraft, the Hunkydory topper, an adhesive swirl which was part of an Anna Griffin kit bought long ago and the foiled Birthday greeting from Dovecraft.
