Get well soon

I found an offcut of card that had originally been run through an embossing folder and thought I would use one of the recently purchased folders from Lisa Horton  .... but I debossed instead of embossed, but I didn't want to waste it so I used various alcohol pens to fit in the debossed leaves. I then added the spotty card either side (from my scraps( and the sparkly gold trim, adding the get well sentiment.

For my first Christmas card of this new year I've upcycled a topper taken from a card received (not just the Christmas gone, but the one before that). The rest of the supplies used are quite old, including the background paper from the Crafter's Companion Decorative Christmas pad ... most of this has been covered, but you can see the  silver and white through the glittered wired ribbon with sparkly snowflakes - this is also old, as well as the glittered tape on the left.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper January 2021 challenge

This is my design card for my Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper January 2021 challenge. .If you make anything that includes some patterned paper you can link your entries and you might be the randomly chosen winner of the lovely prize that I'm giving away. Please click on the challenge link to find out more and join in the fun.

I made this card for my granddaughter, using some foiled paper from a Tattered Lace magazine from some time ago, stuck on to an A5 white card blank. The frame and raised inside were from a kit from Create and Craft and I added the birthday greeting etc using my dymo letratag label maker. The paper used for the insert was also from that kit. The frame and raised topper on the back were from Hunkydory.

Merry Christmas

A commissioned card made recently to be given to a young man who enjoys climbing, walking etc. The toppers I used were originally from Kanban. Although these weren't Christmassy, I used en embossed A5 card blank which I brushed with red distress ink, cutting the bottom of the card with a tonic die, with some washi tape and silver snowflakes from Italian Options. I put some silver mirror paper inside to show though the die cut part at the bottom.

Happy birthday, golfer

A card I've made today using Lisa Horton's padded quilt embossing folder with some green card that has a bit of a glossy look, with the Happy Birthday die cut from the Crafter's Companion rose gold collection using an offcut of matt silver. I've had the decoupage kit for the golfer for some time and can't remember where it came from. I thought the diamond look of the background was good for a golfer  ... they wear jumpers with diamonds, don't they? - lol

Once again I'm showing two photos because the first one shows the decoupaged golfer well, but the second one shows the die cut greeting better:

Thinking of you

Apart from the background piece of red mirror card, the rest of the design was made up with pieces left over from the previous card, again using embossing folders from Lisa Horton and some of her scalloped & plain circle dies, plus the sentiment circle and large gems.

Mirror card and holographic are hard to show properly in photos - so once again I've included two to try and give an idea of what the card looks like.

Thank you very much

Having received my set of embossing folders from Lisa Horton (from Create and Craft) and already shown a card using the sunflowers, I've used three of the others to put this card together. Awhile back I bought a set of dies and stamps by Lisa and have used some of the nested scalloped & plain circles dies for this card.

The padded quilt embossing folder was used  with red mirror card for the background and some of the red used for the inner piece was using the cubes embossing folder. The Dotty pieces were cut using silver holographic card (I actually debossed by mistake, but still used it). I then added the sentiment circle in the middle. Everything was matted on to a white card blank.

As I knew the middle of the main piece would be covered I cut a circle out of it to use on another card rather than wasting all of the covered part.

Mirror card and holographic are hard to show properly in photos - I've included two to try and give an idea of what the card looks like.
