Framed finishes TaDa

Happy Sunday!!!

On my way up Spring Green on Thursday, I made a pit stop at Lynn's of Madison to pick up a couple finished framed pieces. I absolutely love them. Lynn used them as models for her store for a few months

Vintage Lace by Rosewood Manor
Stitched on Lupin linen

Anna and I both stitched Christmas Garden by Blackbird Designs

Anna stitched hers on 30ct linen
I stitched mine on 40ct linen

Also take notice... Anna stitched Christmas Garden on the bottom
I stitched the alphabet and numbers

While I was here I finished Turkey Trot by Notforgotten Farms

I also purchased the fabric and trim
So when I get home later I will have a pillow to make... I don't wanna go home

Heartland Sampler

Tomorrow's Heirlooms in Glen Ellyn, Il., hosted a day with Tanya from The Scarlett House last weekend. This is the simply gorgeous Midwest motif sampler she designed just for us. I love it!!

There are five of us gals in Spring Green, Wi. staying at The Country Sampler for the weekend. This is my progress on Heartland Sampler

I have a few of Tanya's design I have to stitch, I bought these to add to my collection. I just started the pinkeep on the Aztec linen.

It was a great day with stitchy friends

Have a great Sunday!!!

Hare by La D Da

Happy Good Friday!!

I have finished Hare by La D Da

Stitched on 35ct beige linen w/GA threads. I wanted a tad bit of color, so I stitched the flower in a muted pink.

Someone emailed about a Land of the Free chart, please email me again, I'm sorry I lost your email.

I will be getting my Christmas Garden and Vintage Lace back from the framers. I let them use them as models at Lynn's of Madison for a few months. I will be picking them up on the way to Country Sampler 2nd floor weekend with the girls, can't wait!

Have a Blessed Easter weekend!!

Ding! Dong! The witch is dead

Happy Spring to everyone,

I finished Wicked Witch by La~D~Da

I then attempted to make it old and dingy looking, going for a very primitive look

I am going to add some old buttons versus the little motifs in the bare spots
I pretty sure the linen was Havanna, I stitched the black with silk and the orange and purple in DMC. It sure looks different then the chart model

I use the Instant Antique, I have lots of stitchers tell me when you use it, it leaves little dots, they didn't like it. Here's a HINT..... Wet the linen with water, then spray on the desired amount, I then ironed it, till I get the effect I want, ta~da!!!!!!

Me thinks... this will be made into a bell pull

Happy Stitching!!!!

Cool WhIP'S

Hello fellow stitchers,

I thought I would take some time today to snap, crackle and pop some current WIP'S
This is no where near half of them, just current, as within the last month

Red Deer Sampler by Gigi

Summer Quakers by Rosewood Manor, it's coming along better then I thought it would

Hare by La D Da

Quaker Gone Spooky by Michelle Ink

Book of Spells by Goode Huswife, a new start

Humbug Owl by Keslyn's, this ones taking longer then expected

Last Stitch Cemetery by Hinzeit, this is the next start, I need to get stitching it so I can make use of the frame

And here is a small pile, I picked off my work table, just to show what I want to start

I'm very proud of myself, to this day, I haven't bought any market pieces, but I can feel me cracking so next post might be a snap of new stash. I don't know if that's anything to be proud of??!! Lol

Happy Stitching!!!
