A couple of weekends ago, we went camping at Point Reyes as a family. It was fun to camp by the coast. I kept thinking I was hearing a busy road, but it was the ocean waves. :) This campsite was accessible by hiking or biking in. We biked a little over three miles of mountain biking up and down hills carrying all of our equipment to the campsite. The kids did great! Lea and Jonah rode their bikes and we pulled Micah in the bike trailer.
Our good friend Brent came with us since he was home while his family was away visiting family in Utah. We were happy to bring him along!
Getting ready to carry a heavy load. Soon after we started our bike ride I had to trade the bike trailer with Dan because it was a little to heavy for me.
About a mile in, part of the trail was flooded. We opted to hike around the water, which we soon regretted as we were hiking all in poison oak! Needless to say, on our return trip we rode through the puddle. Luckily, nobody was affected by the poison oak. We were very careful and my prayers were answered!
Early Saturday morning Daniel took Jonah and Micah to the tide pools. It was a negative tide which only happens a few times a year so it was very cool and they were able to see all sorts of different creatures and sea life. They had so much fun!
Our friends the Bennions, came with us too. Their campsite was next to ours and the kids loved playing with Hunter and Hayden!
