Wish You Were Here!

Well it was fun coming along and seeing all your Pinteresting cards last week - I don't think any of us will be the same now we've found that site! Thanks Nat for a great Dare!

Anyway onto this week's Dare and it's me, Lynda, here to set the challenge this week. Back down to earth with a bump I'm afraid.

WISH YOU WERE HERE!
As it's Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere (although you could actually disagree with that sometimes with the mix of weather we get here in the UK) and the kid's will be starting their Summer Break from School. I'd like to see what's your idea of the perfect getaway destination. Is it a Sandy Beach, a Tropical Paradise, Camping/Caravaning, Countryside or even a City Break! What takes your fancy?

Here's what the DT have been creating for inspiration this week:-

We put the names of last weeks and this weeks darers into our virtual hat and pulled out the name of the lucky person who will soon receive this lovely collection of cardmaking goodies, courtesy of
Crimson Cloud online store

We're pleased to announce that the winner is

Congratulations Victoria, if you'll contact us at DCM_enquiries@hotmail.co.uk with your postal info we'll arrange for your prize to be sent to you.  We hope you enjoy using those lovely goodies.

It's all very Pinterest-ing!

Thanks to everyone who joined in with Rein's suitcase dare last week - there were some fab entries!

We'll be posting details of the winner of the fab prize soon, but first it's on with this week's dare!

Hi everyone - it's Nat here with this week's dare, which will be something a little different!

As the title suggests we're looking to Pinterest for some inspiration!

I am a relatively new convert to Pinterest - I only joined a month or so ago, but it is definitely my favourite place to hang out at the moment and get instant inspiration - plus I can keep track of all the wonderful inspiring pics and cool techniques I've bookmarked over the years in one handy place.

If you don't know what Pinterest is, check out the blurb here for more info.

We want to spread some Pinterest love this week - because the joy of Pinterest is discovering new sources of inspiration!

So the dare this week is to create a card using a "pin" for inspiration.

We want to see what inspired your creation so make sure you include the original "pin" (ideally using the handy Embed feature that appears to the right of the image on Pinterest) alongside your card project in your blog post
.

If you're not a member of Pinterest you can still play along - you can either browse/search Pinterest for inspiration and still embed the "pin" in your blog post or simply share whatever pic you have used as inspiration for your card.

Either way please remember to give credit where credit's due.
Remember to check out the Design Team's blogs so you can see what pics inspired their cards!
We can't wait to see what you come up with and as always we love reading your comments - so happy creating and happy pinning!

Pack Your Suitcase

Hello,

Thanks to all of you that joined with us last week -it was great to see your wonderful Water Lily and Larkspur cards. As we had a little problem with our Inlinkz code going a bit awry last week and lots of people were unable to add their links, we've decided to roll-over our prize draw and include all the cards entered for this week's challenge too.

So for another week, donated by our sponsor online store Crimson Cloud, .

Click HERE to visit the Crimson Cloud online store

we have this lovely cardmaking kit for one very lucky winner:

There are only 3 rules for entering our random draw:
1. Make a card for our challenge and link it back to here
2. Show it on your blog and add links to tell everyone about
Crimson Cloud and The Daring Cardmakers
3. You may only enter your card for 5 other challenges

So now. if you are all ready and raring to craft....

it's Rein here this week
and my dare is

"SUITCASE"

I'd like you to use a suitcase in any way you like on your card
It could be what you put in your suitcase when you're off travelling, or you could incorporate any sort of suitcase; old, new, shiny or battered into your design.
......"hmmm now then, where is my trolley case......'''.

Please come and let us know where we can see your creations by leaving a link and a comment. Here are some ideas from the Team to help get you thinking
