Mother's Day is Coming...

Mother's Day is coming!!  I am working on stocking my stash with both Mother's Day and Father's Day cards this week!!  Let me know if you would like to special order one.  This card was created for the sketch challenge from the As You See It blog.  Their sketches always have fun pieces and part...lots of inspiration to get your creative juices flowing.

You Can Do Anything....

Today I am playing along the the CASology challenge....the cue card...Plastic!!  I used plastic beads for froggy's belly.  I struggled coming up with a way to use this cue but in the end I really like how it turned out.

Today I am using two challenges...the color challenge (Mint, Aqua, Dark Pink and Green) from The Color Throwdown blog and the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.  

Stampin Up's Sale-A-Bration stamp set So Hoppy Together is just adorable!!  I kept my card very simple...just basic stamping, cutting, and layering.

You Make Life Brighter

It has been over a month since I posted a new card.  I have been traveling...3 weeks in Israel with my husband for his job and then a weekend trip to Chicago for my daughter's engagement party.  Both trips were amazing!!  But.....It is time to get back into the swing of creating.  Today's card was made for the Less is More challenge to create a card with a "light" theme, and for the Paper Players challenge to use plaids.

Materials used:  Stampin Up designer papers...Unity Stamps...tuxedo ink.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #556

Sketch Saturday has a new sketch challenge for you!!  I am still away in Israel but have created my take on this week's challenge.  This week's sponsor for the challenge has cute whimsical digi stamps...check them out...My Besties!!  I printed my image and used Stampin Write markers to color her in...the sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

Limited posting due to travel....

The month of March you will not see me posting much...I will be traveling to Israel with my husband for 3 weeks.  I have made cards ahead of time for the Sketch Saturday challenges and will be posting those but additional creating and posting will be put on hold.  I will miss this part of my life but am looking forward to this adventure with my hubby.  

This week's sketch challenge from Sketch Saturday is a fun one.  We are a team would love for you to come over and play along.  It is always so much fun to see all the different takes on our challenge.  My card this week have no stamping...just some embossing and designer papers.  I have included a close up picture of the embossed portion because I just could get a very clear picture that shows the texture.

3 Gifts Challenge: (using Ann Voskamp's 1000 gifts daily prompts) 3 gifts carved // Turkey...for some reason this is the first thing that popped into my head and I couldn't think of anything else!! I thought if I went ahead and wrote it I would be able to process two additional carved gifts!!  Sand dunes...carved by the wind and waves...beautiful!!  Precious moments carved into our memories!!  Take time today to list several things you are thankful for...think outside the box!!  It will make your heart happy!!

Love Never Gives Up....

Today I am combining the sketch challenge from Paper Players with a color challenge.  The color combo from Sunday Stamps was perfect for creating a beach scene with the Waterfront stamp set...I love all the different scenes you can create with this stamp set.  Most of the time I end up using the beach elements rather than the mountain elements.  

Materials used:  Stampin Up's Waterfront stamp set...Pacific Point, Sweet Sugar Plum, So Saffron and Basic Black inks...Stitched Shapes oval die...Sweet Sugar Plum Ribbon...Pacific Point card stock...embossing folder
