-ARUBA-
Back in October we got to head to Aruba for the big "Destination Wedding" that has been in the works for quite some time! All of the family flew in on the same flight but Derrik and I, our flights got messed up so we were flying solo! It was so fun to be in paradise with the whole crew and be a part of Brenda's Big Day! Brenda is Derrik's cousin, his mom's side of the family is really small so its just the 4 boys (Derrik's brothers) and his Aunts 2 Daughters Brenda and Shay. They grew up just down the street from each other so they are like Derrik's sisters he never had :)
the Hubby doing what he does Best, watching sports of course!!!
The Island was SO Neat, I Loved the drive from the airport to our resort. It had so many unique buildings and sights to see, it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be but So So PRETTY!
Right when we got there after a Long Day of Traveling, we were so ready to dip our toes in that beautiful ocean :)
Me with the Bride to be Brenda.

Ready to set sail on our Snorkeling Adventure...
Just swimming with the sea turtles, I was SO excited I finally got to see my very first Sea Turtle. For those of you who have read my blog for awhile might remember my post a few years ago when Derrik and I were snorkeling in Cozumel and I got stung by a JELLYFISH right before our little tour guide spotted a bunch of them... I was SO SAD I missed them and have been trying every chance I got ever since,Well 2 years later I Spotted it All on my own. It was my NUMBER 1 HIGHLIGHT of the whole trip (weird I know) It was So amazing though, we just swam with it right underneath us and Derrik may or may not have swam right with it and touched it??? :) It was my Fav

Derrik just trying to score brownie points... it worked :)
The Rehearsal Dinner the night before the wedding, the food and view was incredible! Such a perfect way to kick off the next 24 hrs of her "Wedding Celebration"
I had to get a pic of my Giraffe Toes, I know toes are Ugly so don't look at those, but how cute is the toe nail design :)
ARUBA 2010
I was so excited when Brenda asked me a few months before the wedding if I would do her makeup, we had a little trial run earlier in the week before the actual day just to give it a try and see if the colors etc worked on Camera! These pic's are of the "Real Deal" just a few hrs before the ceremony. I'll admit I was Really nervous, but thank goodness it turned out better than I ever could have imagined. REMEMBER Pictures don't do it justice :)

We didn't have time to do the real set of Lashes that I was hoping for, she lives in Boston and both of us decided we didn't want to spend 2 of our precious hrs in Paradise cooped up in a room doing EYELASHES... So we went a different route, but I must say they still worked out Great! We went to a different Resort to get ready and head out to the ceremony so there was about 8 girls in one Hotel room (not even Close to big enough, it was so squishy) We had an assembly line for the whole Wedding party, and realized we were running out of time quick. We finished the bride just in time for the wedding party to arrive in their shuttles and start to load onto the boats to head out. I was a little bummed that I didn't get to curl my hair as planned for all the pics so it didn't FREAK OUT in that humidity, but oh well I wouldn't have changed a thing about any of it. I had so much fun just doing my thing and making this chica GORGEOUS (it definitely wasn't hard) She looked AMAZING in all of her get up :)
All loaded up on our boat heading out to the PRIVATE Island for the Ceremony and Reception. Oh yes I said PRIVATE, I didn't see a soul that wasn't with the wedding party the whole night. This island was long and skinny and SOOOOOO Beautiful. The only Aruban Natives we saw all night were Flamingo's and Iguana's... umm besides the food peeps :)
Brenda and her Mom getting ready to walk down the isle.
I felt like I was in the movies the WHOLE night, I loved every minute of it and can't even explain how awesome it all was.
Stacey trying to pet the Flamingo's :)
Notice Devin in the background scaring them...
After the Ceremony we walked across this cute little bridge to the dinner and reception, They had it all Decked out in White lights, like I said Straight out of the movies:)

This Pic CRACKS me up, so right when we headed over to the dinner and dancing the sun was going down so you know what that means... MOSQUITOES like you've never seen! They were on the attack, thank goodness they had lots of bottles of repellint to keep us alive through that 15 minutes of sunset :) It was nuts because the second that sun was gone so were they, Thank Goodness! Okay back to the pic, this is Dustin being sad that he forgot it wasn't a facial SPRITZ... Hello its Nasty Repellint that WILL STING YOUR EYE IF SPRAYED DIRECTLY IN THEM :) Haha another highlight of mine!
The Happy Couple
The Happy Boy Enjoyed his highly anticipated Sushi!
We all had assigned seating and had these cute flip flops with our names on them draped over our chair in case we didn't pack beach shoes! She had so many cute ideas that just put this wedding Over the Top! It was FABULOUS
The DJ, another favorite of the trip was the dance after dinner. Imagine this for me, 2 Very different family from different backgrounds. On one had you have the Shy Mormons from Utah that can barely dance with the beat of a country song ;) THEN you have the Family from Boston that knows how to Shake it and get down with there bad selves. This 2 hrs was yet another highlight of the whole week. I Finally convinced Derrik to go out with me and join the crowd and have some fun and I'm So Glad he was somewhat easily persuaded :) We had a Blast and enjoyed EVERY Minute of the whole Night! I'll try and get my video's to work and upload them on here just to give you all a little taste of what it was like... Ahhhh the best wedding Ever!!! Well you know what I mean, the best Aruba Wedding EVER ;) Lol
