Mark and Sharla came up for Homecoming weekend. We had lots of fun. We ate at J-Dawgs, Happy Sumo, Tucanos, and Nicolitalias--just to highlight a few. We went to the Homecoming Spectacular show on Friday night (very entertaining) and the football game on Saturday night (very painful). We got to spend time with friends and family and the weekend just flew by. It always happens like that when you're having fun!

There's a Snake in my Boot?
Our kind friends Lisa and Todd let us borrow the costumes they made for Halloween last year. So... I was Jessie and Devon was Woody. Pretty awesome huh! This is us at Korine's birthday party. The trailer trash lovers are Scott and Stef! They are awesome and they are getting awesomer on January 2 in the Seattle Temple! Yeeeaaaaahhhh!

Shop and Work
One night last weekend we went up to Gateway with Brandon, Julie, Kelsey, Cory, Harlee, and Kaley Sistrunk. We did a little shopping and then ate at Happy Sumo. It was super fun! I wish I had taken a picture of all of us together, though. This one will have to do.
And...I started my new job this week! Devon snapped a picture of me as I was describing my day to him. I think you might be able to see my tonsils.
I'm really excited about it and I like it A LOT, especially the other MAs I work with! I sure have a lot to learn, but I feel like I'm picking things up pretty quickly.

Friday Night
Yesterday Devon had a managers meeting for work so I played with my friend Megan Hymas. First, we went running on this cool trail that I never knew about. It's near the base of the Y. And guess what?! WE SAW A SNAKE! My heart definitely skipped a few beats because I didn't see it until we were practically on top of it. It was a smaller one, so we just ran around it, but then I was paranoid for the rest of the run. I've seen that snake bite show on TV. Need I say more? I'm scarred for life.
Then we went to the BYU hockey game. Megan's husband Nate plays on the team, so it was fun to be part of the fan club! He scored twice and they won! Yeah Nate!

So Long Spectacles
I can't believe I forgot to blog about this life-changing life change Devon recently underwent. He got LASIK! It is bitter sweet for me because those glasses were a part of him--like an appendage almost. How would you feel if someone cut off your husband's hand? I will miss those glasses dearly. I must say, though, he doesn't seem to miss them. This is the last picture of us together before his surgery. Thanks to Max for tending to him post-op while I was in California playing with Shira.
