Cake Balls - Beach Theme

I had an order request for cake balls with girlie beach theme and I immediately thought of beach balls, seashells, umbrellas, beach towel and flip flops.  Then I went hmmm...it would look so much better if I did a sand bar in the middle and have the cake balls around it.  I gave both options.  To do the sand bar or not.  Of course I was hoping she was going to choose to do the sand bar and she did.  I was so excited to start working on this.

The cake balls are ready to get dipped and decorated in chocolate.

Above is my little sand bar that I have created using a cake board, royal icing and brown sugar.

I thought it would be cute to do lots of different colors and designs.

Here is the final product.  I made the letters in chocolate.  I got a little creative this time and added dots to the letters. ;)

Here is a little close up of the cake balls.

Time to deliver!!

My 4th of July Weekend

Saturday finished a cake ball orderAdd Image. A Red Velvet with cheetah prints. Thought it came out really cute!

After...we decided to go hang out with my brother Jeff at Idyllwild were he was camping. Gotta bring them some goodies. Red velvet cupcakes of course :)

Steve and I have never gone camping. Which we were more prepared to stay longer and enjoy nature. It was a very beautiful campsite. If you like to camp, you should check it out! The bathrooms were clean and the campsite was well maintain! One of the few biggest concerns of mine.

Some of the views on our way down.

Wish I took more pictures!!

Since we didn't get much sleep at all the night before. Steve and I snoozed all day on Sunday. It sure is not the same without my kiddos!!
Monday, we went over my parents house. I BBQ'd some ribs. It was yummy!
That's all folks!
Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend!
