Antonio Repaci FW 2013/14

He refers to his footwear as "sculptures," I can see that....it's definitely an interesting collection.

Background:
"I feel I want to attribute huge and unavoidable value to the background I have acquired directly “on the job” through years of intense and creative work as a designer in direct contact with admirable artisans of excellence from the Marche footwear district. A course in “Fashion Digital Art” at Istituto Marangoni has helped me fine-tune my graphic-digital skills."

At the moment:
"Today I collaborate as a designer with various style studios located in the Fermo footwear district. In September 2012 I launched my debut brand of which of course I am the creative director."

The concept behind the collection:
"Mine is an ideological journey “back to the origins”: to the memories of places, populations, legends that have colored with their mythological allure the carefree years of my youth when I attended high school in Reggio Calabria. An ideal journey into the halls displaying ancient treasures of Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia in Reggio Calabria and the showcases of the legendary atelier of “mythological” Gianni Versace. I created a capsule collection comprising pumps and sandals conceived around a single structure, featuring 5–inch platforms that show through a clear iconographic reference.

For how long have you been producing your own line?:
"SS2013 marks my debut with my eponymous brand. With the next FW 2013-14 collection I would like to expand the diffusion of my brand also internationally."

In which stores would you like to have your collection sold?:
"I would like to see my “sculptures” displayed in the windows at Saks or Barneys New York, Selfridges in London and 10 Corso Como in Milan and of course in as many prestigious international Ateliers that deal with refined and unusual pieces."

What’s next?:
"Obviously today all my efforts are aimed at developing and establishing my brand. Besides, thanks mainly to the support of footwear activities of true excellence, I have been working for some years now on my very personal concept of a “shoewear atelier”: not only a space for selling but an emotional container with handmade and made-to-order products." Tory Burch gets "buggy with it" as she uses the dragonfly and other insects to accent her collection of statement accessories. The green iridescent loafer is simply magic!
