WOYWW

Its Wednesday and time for another peek at my work desk ...

OK so I have started colouring 3 images .. .and only finished 1!!!  My pens and pen charts are on display, and there is a sneaky peek of a InStyle Stamps' project, due to be posted next week ... just need to do the finishing touches!  I have had a go at decorating a candles ... so there is the finished article.  There is a LOTV image on it.  There are a couple of images stamped up onto tissue paper ready to colour and put on candles.  I loved making it and am definitely going to do lots more :)  Oh and the box of tissues.  I am nursing a horrible cold, and am constantly sniffing and sneezing!

ABC Challenge E is for

This week's ABC challenge is
E for Easel card

I am not sure I am overly happy with mine ... I made it per Ellie's instructions for a friend of her's birthday.  Not sure I would have matched those colours but who am I to argue with the will of a 5 year old?!!

Tilda is coloured using my pens and then Ellie stickled the dress, the wand, the floor, the edges, the desk, herself!!!!  We kept it very simple, using the Just Magnolia sketch for the top and a simple flower and ribon for the base.  Ellie chose the flowers and the sentiment.  She had fun learning to heat emboss ... the sentiment is heat embossed in silver ... and as we were having so much fun, she stamped the scrolls and embossed them ...not realising that they wouldn't really be seen.  But she enjoyed herself :)

We are also entering this card into this week's Totally Papercrafts A Kind of magic challenge.

A non traditional Christmas card

I am all sniffy and not feeling at all crafty, but having started this on Saturday, I thought I had better make an effort and finish it!

I made it for the following challenges:
LOTV - non-traditional Christmas
Totally Gorguss - Christmas
Friday Sketcher - sketch
Allsorts plain and simple - thinks it plain (well the dp isn't!) and it is very simple!

I coloured this cutie using my pens and then glamour dusted the hat and stickled some snow.  The papers are very untraditional for Christmas!!1 and it keep it plain and simple I only used the 1 dp, matting it onto blue cardstock.  I added some raffia lace and some ribbon, and punched and glamour dusted a snowflake.

Sketch and Stash #45

This week we are lucky to be sponsored by Whimsey Stamps, and Densie is offering 1 lucky person a $15 voucher to spend in her shop.

She was really generous and sent the DT some gorgeous images to use.

Here is my card using Daisy Butterfly...

I printed off two images,1 on card and 1 on vellum.  Having coloured the image using my pens, I cut the background out of the wing detail and layered it onto the vellum butterfly.  I added raffia lace layered with organza ribbon, and used the ribbon to make the ickle bows.  the dp is MME and was a freebie in a magazine.

Just Cute Bears Challenge 36

This week's challenge is

Swirls and Bling

We are being sponsored by the lovely Paula from Pollycrafts ...

She is offering 1 lucky person a choice of 10 digis from her shop.

I used a fab digi from Paula and coloured it using my pens.  I added liquid pearls to the wedding dress.  The papers are DCWV Nursery ... very swirly and glittery.  I stamped 2 sentiments from Pollycrafts onto the papers.    Finally Iome pearl spray, a layered flower and some teeny pearls.

Sorry its a bit late posting this card ... I have s stinking cold and my lack of crafting mojo has only been enhanced by the muddy pawed cat that wandered across card number 1 leaving very "tasteful" brown smudges and spreading liquid pearls over the card ... not my favourite cat at the mo!!

It is hubby's birthday so we are off out for the day .. hopefully noothing too strenous is being planned!!

InStyles Blog hop

It's monthly blog hop time with the InStyle Stamps team. Every month our blog hops have a theme and this month it is Autumn or Fall. There is a prize for commenting and voting ... a $25 goodie bag from ISS. Check out the InStyle Stamps blog for more details, and a full list of the blog hoppers.

If you are following hop you should have arrived from Kimme ... if you haven't then you can start the blog hop from the InStyles blog.

I decided to go with the Harvest aspect of Autumn, and used this fab digi stamp,  Harvest Veggies for my project.  I have made a folder with harvest recipes in it.

I coloured in the image and then cut it out.  The folder is made from 1 peice of A4 paper, scored at 21/2" and 8".  I have no idea what the dp is, I got it loose in a craft shop.  I added gingham ribbon and a bow .. .the ribbon has the same burgundy colour as the dp running through it.  I used my sizzix die to cut the label and added some more ribbon.

Inside are some recipe sheets, each having Harvest Veggies on it.

Thanks to the folks over at Glue Arts, all of our projects this week are held together with some really great adhesives. Our designers all received packs of goodies from Glue Arts, including the Glue Glider Pro  and/or refills, 3D Adhesive foam, Mini Adhesive Squares, and Ribbon Adhesive. A day late ... but ... WOYWW!

I am really losing track of time!!  With Beth and Faith at pre-school I am supposed to have MORE time not less LOL!!  Anyway here was my desk yesterday ... very tidy as I haven't created anything yet this week!

And here is a card I have knocked together this morning ... I LOVE white challenges!

A Spoonfull of Sugar - Anything Goes
I love Promarkers - White on White
Passion For Promarkers - handmade flowers
Colour Create - white + embossing
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes

I coloured Donna using my promarkers ... mainly used the Cool Greys, and then I added some glossy accents and silver pen to her boots. Her wings and hair has some star dust stickles in it.  I edged the image in lace, ewmbossed the cardstock and added ric rac.  The flowers were made using 3 nesties and then cutting into petals, distressing and folding.  I punched leaves and inked them too.  The gems were sneaked off a wedding table!!  Really simples and quick :)

I'm off to get the girls from Pre-school now ... hopefully there will be crafting time later :)

For my project I have used Firefly Chloe.
I altered a jar, and put a candle inside.
I coloured Chloe using my pens and stickled the ickle fireflies.

I added ribbon to the top of the jar.  I ran a running stitch through one edge and then gathered it and stuck it on using Ribbon Adhesive.  I added a wide strip of ribbon, made a bow and decorated with layered flowers.
Finally I added some gems to the jar.

I used these Glue Arts products: Glue Glider Pro  , Mini Adhesive Squares, and Ribbon Adhesive.

Our designers all received packs of goodies from Glue Arts, including the Glue Glider Pro  and/or refills, 3D Adhesive foam, Mini Adhesive Squares, and Ribbon Adhesive. I made a criss cross card using Raindrop Chloe ... isn't she the sweetest?

I used Making Memories papers and flowers and ribbon from my stash.
The card opens the opposite way to what it should ... I have done it this way to show off the umbrella!  Chloe is coloured using my pens and then cut out.  Here's a closer look at her.

I used the chorus of a Carpenter's song, Rainy Days and Mondays, as the inspiration for my card, so I added the verse to the inside.  Oh and a flower and ribbon.

I used these Glue Arts products: Glue Glider Pro  , Mini Adhesive Squares, and Ribbon Adhesive.

Magical Monday

This is my first challenge as a member of the Design Team - how exciting :)
The challenge this week is
Under the Sea
We are very lucky this week to be sponsored by our very own Lacey and her store
and the prize is...
A whole sheet of Halloween images of Sweet Pea stamps by Elaine Cox!!

Here is my card.
This was a bit of an experiment for me, as I stamped Mermaid Tilda onto vellum and coloured her with my pens .. so far so good!!  I covered the blue circle with glossy accents and glamour dust, and added green stickles for seaweed ... then I added Tilda ... what a mistake.  She curled up so this is Tilda number 3!!  The DCWV dp is distressed, as is the cardstock, and I added stickles, gems sunk into stickles, some pearl strands and some raffia lace.

I used the colour challenge from Papertake weekly, the Friday Sketcher sketch and Just Magnolia's Lace it up challenge to complete the card.

Download Diva

Finally a card for a couple of challenges rather than DT work LOL!!! Me and my craft space said hello to each other this morning :)
I made this card for these challenges ...
Kenny K Krafty Girlz challenge - embossing
I love Promarkers - sketch
Passion for Promarkers - photo inspiration and spots
Cute Card Thursday - Tweet and Flutter
Simon Says Stamp - Move it

I coloured this fab image in using my pens. I have been playing with hair colour and used burgundy, crimson, burnt umber and cocoa - it does look better IRL! I had another go at a slider card. I made one for this month's InStyle Stamps sketch challenge and it was a real challenge so I thought practice would make it perfect ... well closer to perfect LOL!!
I used the sketch and the slider part hides under part of the sketch. Rather than adding a sentiment I added a layered flower. There is an embossed panel of Swiss dots. Finally some pearls and a couple of punched butterflies to finish it off.

InStyle Stamps Inspiration Challenge

This month's InStyle Stamps inspiration challenge is a favourite children's book.
I used Raindrop Chloe which will be released on 24th September ... isn't she just a cuties with that umbrella and sunshine wellies!!
The book I used as inspiration is one of my children's favourites ... Dr Xargle's Book of Earth Weather. In it it says "Unlike us, earthlets are not waterproof. They go soggy in a rainblob." Chloe seems to be enjoying getting soggy!!
I coloured Chloe in using my pens and then cut her out. I pleated some yellow ribbon and added some cerise to the bottom of it. The flower is made by gathering 2 lengths of ribbon and adding a blue button.

I also made a step card using Ariel .. .my little one, Beth, wants to be a mermaid when she grows up, and is becoming slightly obsessed with Ariel!!! So this book is Hans Christian Anderson's Little Mermaid.
Again Ariel is coloured using my pens and cut out. I trimmed the papers to make them look wavy, and added orange ribbon and ricrac. I layered a flower up and added a copule of bows.

Here's a closer look at Ariel ... apparently the hair isn't red enough!!

WOYWW and a card

My blog is looking a bit bare at the moment, I haven't really had as much time to craft as I would like, and I have been doing lots of DT work ...but I have made a card this afternoon for a friend.
It uses this week's Stampavie and More's sketch. It is for a friend's sister, for a wedding she is going to.
I used my pens to colour Tilda and Edwin in. All the dp is distressed using my trusty TH distressing too and some dark gold ink. I embossed a panel of the dp sunig the hearts folder. I added lace, crocheted flowers with pearl brads in the middle and some rose buds. What i am missing is a sentiment ... perhaps I need to buy a wedding one. What a chore having to craft shop LOL!!

As it is Wednesday its time to show off my work desk ... this was my work desk this morning ... it looked a bit like this last week! I will get that sweet pea image coloured in lOL!

And his side ... yep he hasn't been modelling so I have dumped lots on his bit!!!
