Fall Family Photos

We are in our new home in Oklahoma! These pictures were taken at the park right across from our old house in Wichita. I had a close friend of mine take the pictures. I think she did an amazing job! I currently have misplaced my camera...my house is still in the process of being put together and I'm sure I put the camera in a really safe place, which usually means it takes me awhile to find. So when I locate that, I will be posting a catch up of Halloween and the move and if you're lucky I'll have my home in enough order that I will take and post some pictures of that.

The move itself was a bit crazy with us not being able to fit all our stuff in the truck. Luckily we have the greatest friends ever and it all worked out. Other than that the move went smoothly thanks to all the hard work of friends and family. I love my new house and can't wait to get my hands on some paint to really make it my own. Landon and Carter seem to really like their new home as well. Landon loves playing in the backyard and Carter has decided that its ok to sleep for longer stretches at night, which all makes me a happy mommy!

I haven't really gone out adventuring yet, trying to focus all my efforts into unpacking. But I'm excited to explore the city and local parks. From what I've seen Oklahoma City seems like a pretty great place to live. We picked a neighborhood out in the country a bit but still an easy drive into the city. I'm so proud of my husband for how hard he works to provide us with such a comfortable life!  Ok now for the pictures... ENJOY! :)

Family dress up time

My Dragon and My Fireman

a dragon, a baseball player, a fireman, and a pioneer
Friday night was our church Trunk-or-Treat party. We had yummy chili and cornbread for dinner and then all the kids went around and collected candy. It was tons of fun! It was nice to spend some time with all our church friends here that we are going to miss when we move to Oklahoma City in a couple weeks.

Our lives have been pretty hectic with Ethan traveling back and forth each week and trying to pack up the house for the move. Honestly though, it hasn't been too bad. We started packing as soon as Ethan accepted the job offer so it's been a gradual process and not too overwhelming. And so far everything with our new home purchase has gone just about as smooth as possible. Our realtor and mortgage broker have been so great, they have made the whole process easy. Oh and did I mention Ethan is officially done with school!!! He graduated with his MBA in Finance with a 3.7 GPA! I am so proud of him and can hardly believe that we are finally at this point in our lives! I feel too young for the life I live, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

about a baby

My baby boy is 5 months old!
He is such a happy little guy!
He brings so much joy to our lives!
At 5 months he cries when his Momma leaves his sight.
At 5 months he giggles at everything big brother does.
At 5 months he still prefers to nurse every 2 hours.
At 5 months he can roll over like a pro.
At 5 months he refuses to take a bottle.
At 5 months he is not a very good night sleeper.
At 5 months he loves to play with toys and put everything he can get his hands on into his mouth.
We all just adore our baby carter!

A 4 year-old and a 4 month-old

4 was the magic number in our house this month.
Landon turned 4 years old! Can someone please explain to me how exactly this happened?! He is growing up so fast and turning into such a wonderful boy. For months he has been telling us that when he turns four he would try new foods and I'm happy to report that he tries something out of his norm everyday. He usually only will take one small bite, but considering he would not even go near a new food without tears this is huge for us!

My baby also turned 4 months old this month. He just keeps making me love him more and more everyday. I am so amazed at the wonderful bond between the boys. They just adore each other, Carter lights up when Landon comes near and will laugh and laugh at all the silly things his big brother does. Landon is a very helpful big brother which I am so grateful for!

The FROG Party!
all dressed up and ready for the party guests to arrive
This year Landon decided he wanted a Frog Party!
I tried my best to keep everything frog themed
and it turned out to be a pretty fun party!
frog games
To keep with the frog theme we had musical lily pads, a frog pinata (a big thanks to my friend Kristen for helping me design and create the pinata), pin the fly on the frog's tongue, and frog bean bag toss onto lily pads.
more frog games and presents

frog treats, frog cookies and cake
Landon had an extra special Birthday party because
both sets of grandparents were able to attend!

My boys are sure loved!

4 MONTHS OLD!
I just love my baby boy and his extreme cuteness!!!

In other very exciting news, my wonderful husband was offered and accepted a promotion this week which will be moving us closer to this beautiful building.

We have loved living in Wichita and have made some dear friends that we will definitely miss! But it seems to me that just as I feel totally settled and adjusted to a new place that's the exact time I find out I'm moving. There are so many things about here that I am really going to miss (good thing the feeling of "missing" has been apart of my life since I can remember, otherwise this would be really hard)!  But I do have admit that we are excited for this next phase in our life and I'm especially excited to start the house hunting process and get out of renting and into homeownership! We were blessed to find a good place to rent while Ethan finished up his schooling, but I am ready to have a place of my own. Ethan's official start date is October 15th and he finishes his MBA October 18th! I'm so grateful we decided to put priority on his MBA, we have already been blessed because of it. I'll be here until we have a house to move into, so lets pray that the perfect home for us is easy to find!

Kansas State Football

K STATE GAME DAY
This year Ethan was able to get some extra tickets to the Cox Sponsored Kansas State football game so we invited Ethan's brother and family to go with us. We had such a great time! The weather was perfect and KState played a great game. And going with family is always a special treat. We love that they are our neighbor state! And as always Landon had a blast with his cousins!

After the game we went and got food at Wendy's and then decided we hadn't had enough of each other yet so we went for some more playtime at a local park.
The Boys had a great time!
