plus de pensées de fleur

It's my favorite season interlude. The lilacs have shared their clustery démodé blooms. Now the peonies are bursting out! My rose bush has beaucoup new buds popping up each dewy morn.
I could not resist sharing this image of two of my favorite things.

I'm hosting our annual May Day event this weekend and the flowers are on que. I can't wait to pick my first bouquet of roses and peonies to place on the confection table.

My summers are surrounded and immersed in fleurs. I amour and cherish their simple beauty.

This season I'm going to start a fleur journal. I'm going to construct a fleur scrap book of sorts.
In the book, pictures and notes about each variety of rose, fleur or herb. Little hints on planting and nurturing Gods beau creations. How to dry hydrangea's, tours and helpful hints on how to make your blooms linger.
I'm going to sketch and press the restes for safe keeping.
I'll share the images and progress during the construction of the fleur livre de chute.
Here are a few of the images I'm already working with.
Woody violet one of my favoris.

Ressort extérieur

What fun! Creating a Ressort extérieur setting. I've been taking product shots for Bittersweet. When I finish it's quite dur to get up from the culbuteur. I'm sandwiched in between lavender and lilacs! No reason to leave that spot! Butterflies floating around and an occasional honey bee buzzing.
It's la vie douce!
I wish you were here!

Like a rêver!

I souhait that this would last forever!

jour de cueillette de pomme

My friend Tina created and captured this lovely vignette. The image shouts été!
I can see myself sitting in the chaise en osier jeans cuffed wearing a blue gingham blouse along with my favorite comfy chaussures de tennis kicked up as a warm summer breeze blows by.

If you look closely at the photo you'll see some of my olive oil soap mixed in.

Tina was so sweet to share this photo. I hope it inspires you and gets you excited about summer! I know it did just that to je.

Tina also has a beau on-line boutique. Her artisan creations are unique and lovely as is her web site. Click here to visit. I am in amour with her charming bandeauxs.

Isn't her magasin exquisite?

Fleurs françaises

One of my favorite fleurs, the pétale mou everlasting hydrangea. A true flower gift from God, I believe.

I'm planning a marché aux puces jaunt. A nearby village is having their yearly extravaganza. One this girl never misses! I'm looking for certain pieces. Old jardin utilitarian items and a special peu mettent hors jeu kind of like the one in this Pinterest image.
One that's fin anyway.
Jardin rêver and planning some new outdoor retreats. Little extérieur spots throughout the landscape.

What kind of spring outdoor idees are you having? Outdoor marchés aux puces, jardin parties, warm summer evening dîners, bouquets of fresh hydrangeas and jardin fleurs.

herbes

courtesy of Pinterest

I could sit and regard fix at this field of lavender for hours! What I would do to have a beau landscape such as the one in this picture.
Even if you don't have an acre or two for harvesting lavender you can enjoy a smaller version no matter how small of space you have. That's the grand thing about herbs.
I grow a large area of both rosemary, thyme and basil. I use the trois of herbs to cook with on a regular base. Especially fond of the basil. I use it to make Pesto dishes.

What is your favorite herb?
I'm still rêver of spring in between maison updates.

le jardin s'est levé

I have a confession to make...
I am in love with Pinterest♥
The little garden shed with its climbing pink roses, lavande rows and larkspur landscape screams assez. Wouldn't you agree? The nasturtiams falling down the sides of the old wooden wheel barrow is almost too much for me to handle as I'm eager for spring to arrive.

We have a garden shed similar to this one that Lennis built. It sits next to an extended porch. Promise, picture when spring arrives. I believe this spring I'll usine some pretty flowers around the hangar. Possibly some pink climing roses like the ones in the picture.
I've been studying and previewing different rose varieties to plant in my jardin.

This is New Dawn~ Nouvelle Aube
This one is named Heritage~ Héritage
I amour the old fashioned cabbage roses.
Both of these roses is also carry a lovely parfumé. An extra rose bonus I believe and lovely when you bring a freshly cut bouquet indoors.

Do you have a rose jardin?

French jardin

I can't seem to get jardin off my mind lately. With spring just around the coin, I suppose it's a natural thought.

We added on to an existing back porche last summer and I am excited to begin fluffing it with Français.

Once again during my cuppa tea time I've been wondering around Pinterest searching for idees.
I'm envisioning ferns and roses and flowering blooms filling the space and maybe white wicker since I already have a couple of nice pieces.

I like this idee. Don't you? Love the allysum in the pots. One of my favorite little plants. The old chippy dresser is a parfait resting spot for the blooming plants. How clever to include tattered mirrors.

Ah yes, I'm yearning for fresh clean spring with an orchestra of  robins singing their sweet lullaby.
Just as I do about this time every season. Seasons calling me I believe...

& de chemise de nuit ; chambres à coucher

While on the mention of vintage nightgowns I thought it only proper to incluez pretty nouveau nightgowns also I have several nightgowns like the one in this picture. I call them summer nightgowns. Our cold winters and my 1920 era drafty home would not allow me to wear the sleeveless gown unless I was pose on the sofa bed with piles of  édredons and blankets. Even then I'm afraid my arms would have goose bumps.
Summer time though and I take a long hot bath and glissez dans a simple cotton gown like the one above.

Do you have a collection of nightgowns or a robe de nuit such as this one?

robes de nuit de cru

If you've visited Fussy Frenchs' sister blog Bittersweet then you know about my passion for vintage nightgowns. This photo was taken at the Bittersweet studio. I proudly affichage the gown on a dress form at the entrance of the studio/boutique.
I prefer simple broderie over fantaisie and hues all of the same pallate. Equally fanciful Empire waist dresses excitez je.

Isn't the robe beau? Stunning I believe.

Truly I wish the empire waisted dress would make a comeback, vraiment I do.
What are some of your favorite styles?
