Hey MA!

remember when we got good grades we would get money for them (like 10 dollars for an A, 8 dollars for a B)..huh huh huh?!? Well...i ended up with 3 B's and id like some money!! ha..i wish it still worked that way! Well i ended up with a B in Algebra, B in Microbiology, and a B in Computers Systems...now i will enjoy the rest of the my month off until my summer class starts!

my decorating obsession in progress....

Well my work here never seems to be done..im always wanting to do more! I am a wannabe pottery barn stylist on a 2 dollar budget...so it may not be the exact look i want..but its close enough! Next on my list is our bedroom dresser..ive decided to give myself a few days break after doing the coffee table and tv stand..so anyways..first its the new (well..old) window i got with my mom at a little antique store..i put it in my bathroom..the other window i havent hung yet..been too busy painting! So here it is...

heres a before of the tv stand..and here is one with the drawer painted a brown that i tried to match the bookcases..which ended up too dark so i scratched the whole brown idea!

Now im looking for some type of white fabric/coverlet/blanket/quilt/etc...so i can enlist my sister with her new sewing machine to help me cover my couch pillows!

still painting....

Still busy painting! I couldnt find the right brown/espresso color for the tv stand to match the two bookcases so i scratched the brown idea and decided to get a shade of white (ohh and let me tell you..white has mannnyyy shades!) and now im painting the tv stand and coffee table (AGAIN!) the new white i got...what a mess! My living room is in shambles and i hate it so im trying to get this painting done as soon as i can..its 8am and ive already done 2 coats on the tv stand! And now im off to grocery shop while all my boys are sleeping..lame-o's! I will get pictures up as soon as i finish this crap!

Well this is finals week for me...then im off for a month until my summer bio class starts! Until then i plan on finishing my vet hours up at a new vet in yorkville..i need to call the manager and set up some days (writing that on my to do list right now!)...

Well im getting back into house decoration stuff again..we went to my parents this weekend and my mom and i managed to go out for a few minutes and ran over to a little antique store in town..i got two old antique windows! So I have one hanging in the master bath (will have a picture of it up soon!) and the other im thinking about hanging in the quest room..still deciding! And today after work i managed to finish painting our coffee table..i was going to paint it white but went with a very very faint taupe..jake was like "looks white to me" when i asked how he liked the color i picked out. Now my next project will be the tv stand that ill be painting the same color as the two bookshelves that are on either side of it (almost a coffee/espresso color)..but first will be priming it..maybe ill get to that tomorrow after getting home from my grandparents (weekly cleaning!)...such a busy week!

oh and MA..should i be putting a clear coat on all this stuff im painting..like my coffee table?? Jake just asked and i was like uhhh...i dont know!??

this has been a really adventurous few days..we have slept and prayed on it and we have decided to give the puppy back to the breeder. She is insisting on showing and will not get over the fact that we want to neuter him, i have been called a liar and she has pretty much ruined my puppy experience. I am supposed to be happy and im not, she keeps telling me that she wants to see him at 6 months and to not neuter him until her is a year which we would never wait that long. All she cares about it showing and studding her dogs out..i told her that him having a good home should be the most important thing but she just seems to blow it off and only cares about future litters she could have with him. I should have known from my gut instinct that she was crazy and should have ran away from the beginning. I love him dearly, but i have let her ruin it for me..and i would rather wait for a normal breeder who can give me a puppy that will not threaten me about showing him...now if i could just crawl in a hole for a few days, that would be great...all i can say is that it is in gods hands now and its for the best

Im exhausted..ive had a headache since 10:30 this morning! Finn is doing great and i would post videos and pictures but that would take to much energy..and i have to save it for when he wakes up so i can walk my ass downstairs and outside with him. I was wondering why my legs and butt hurt so bad...oh yeah..its because ive walked down/up more flights of stairs in the past 36 hours than i have in my entire life!!!!! And it doesnt help that i have to carry Finn up and down since he doesnt quite get the whole stair thing..and im pretty sure he weighs at least 10 pounds already! So now after finishing my homework while he lays on the couch next to me..under the blankets..and his head on a pillow..i plan on moving him over and taking back my spot! IM TIREDDDDD..its time for bed...hopefully tomorrow i will be refreshed and will post stuff!

Thats it for now..i just had enough time to change and eat since he went down for a nap...then DADDD (i think my husband is going to be worse than i am with this dog!) just had to pick him up and put him on his lap..which he woke up of course..so i just yelled at him to put him back down on his bed! I would have liked to see how long he slept for and woke up on him own but noooo! Well at least dad is taking him out for me! yay!

UPDATE...he went down for a second nap already! I took him out for a long walk and he came in..went right into his crate and laid down! I think im in love..i almost like him most when hes...SLEEPING! ha..im glad willis and squibby have been great with him so far! Ok back to getting stuff done while hes sleeping!!

I GET MY PUPPY TODAY!!!

Well i was planning on sleeping in but with all this excitement..i couldnt! Jake has a cop test (written and physical agility) so he left at 6am..and i think i woke up at 545ish because i heard him banging around in the kitchen getting a bowl of cereal...so i though i would just get up since i have so much to do! Now that our dryer is fixed (long story!) i am doing like 3 weeks worth of laundry which i couldnt me more excited about (yeah right)! So today i will be picking Finn up around 11am! We plan on having some visitors the first day hes home too..my sister is coming for a few hours and jakes co-worker and wife plan on stopping by...so it will be a busy day. Im sure ill post pictures of him at home later...oh and please pray for me that i have a decent night with him and dont have to get up every hour!

smell the fresh clean...carpet

= the best investment that ive made in a very long time!

So i was able to convince my husband into letting me get a deep cleaner..which i have been wanting for about 4 years now! And since jake threw away our little hand held one after it stopped charging (though i think it was more due to his lack of patients!)..it was time! Kohls had a decent sale on it PLUS they had every 50 you spend, you get 10 kohls cash..and since i had to get a few wedding gifts for a friend of his whos getting married next month..i managed to get 30 bucks in kohls cash after all was said and done! I really hate spending 150 for a stupid carpet cleaner (trust me..there are MANY more things i would rather spend 150 on..like dog toys HA!) but since we are getting a new puppy on sat I though it was time to invest (that and to make my job of cleaning up little puppy accidents a little easier!)..So anyways i thought i would clean at least the living room carpet before the weekend..and it did a great job! It came with attachments also which will be nice for stairs and upholstery! So now to make up for the cost of it..im cleaning carpets for 10 bucks a room! HAHA! No..really...

PS - if you ever see this toy pick me up a few! Its willis' favorite toy and we usually found them at random places like Walgreen's and once at a dollar store..they are like a dollar or two..a red and white rope with some kind of red plastic/rubber thing in the middle..he chewed up his last one a while ago and we havent been able to find any!

WILLIS!!!

This is Willis running and leaping towards me with a toy thats NOT HIS!!! ive been getting toys for the new puppy and hiding them from willis...though he has gotten hold of just about every one i got, i managed to sneak them away when his 2 min attention span went elsewhere! Well today when dad got home from the quad cities he went upstairs and snuck a toy out for willis! He came downstairs sneakily until i noticed the toy and yelled...see the crate in the background??! Im all ready for the puppy!!
