Friday Fun!

Hello Everybody!

Happy Friday!  Katy here, and I am excited to show you this Thank You card.

For the collage I stamped it and used black embossing powder.  Then I brushed on various inks.  For the stamp with the lady I restamped the image with just black ink.  I inked the stamp and then turned it into an "epoxy sticker."  I used pop dots underneath it.

The simple elegance swirl and background are on the middle panel.  I love both of these stamps so much!  Lastly, I stamped the thank you part of the Tags stamp and cut out the words.  I used a pen to draw a square around each word.  Then I adhered the words to the clear tag.

For more details on how I made this card you can check out my blog here.

Our challenge is still going on!  The challenge this month is Animals.  Go here to link up!

Sweet Little Girl

Hello stamping friends! Leah here and I have a card to share with you using some wonderful Great Impressions images. When I found this stamp I just had to have it as it reminds me so much of my little girl. I am amazed each day by her and she really is a miracle.

This sweet image is called Little Girl in Springtime (F466) and she was so much fun to color. I used Copics for my coloring. I also just adore this sentiment which is called Roots of Hope (C289). I added some rolled felt flowers and die cut foliage along with pearls and stitching. I hope to live that way each day! Have a beautiful creative day.

Friday Fun!

Hello Everybody!

Katy here and I am so excited to share with you this card featuring this cute little hedgehog taking a nap!  You can find this cutie and more in the Great Impressions Online Store.

For this card I used F557 Snoozing Hedgehog and B213 Happy Summer Days!

I used Copic markers to color this cute little hedgehog-and I outlined his hair with a brown Copic.  I used light modeling paste and a sunburst stencil on the orange panel with the hedgehog and sentiment.  The bright colors and sunburst all say summer to me!

Sweet Day

Hi, friends!  It's time for another post using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have a card made with some of our NEWEST stamps and I just adore the way this CAS creation turned out!

Here's my card~
More details on my personal blog HERE.

This butterfly image is just SO perfect--I love all the little flowers it's made up of!  The only thing I accented them with was a few liquid pearl dots.  The sentiment screams blackboard so I decided to do white embossing on deep gray to kind of go along with that feel.  What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at this card!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

Today's card features some new stamps from Great Impressions.
Isn't this hot air balloon fun?
I colored this stamp with copics and neatly trimmed it out to pop it up on foam dots.
I used a cloud stencil to create the background.
Then I added the sentiment E648 Just Floating below the balloon so it looks like it is floating by.

Lovely Lady

Hello Great Impressions friends! Leah from Paper Blossoms here and I am thrilled to be here with my first official design team card. Great Impressions carries a wide variety of stamps and when I found this one I fell in love with the timeless elegance and romantic feel of the image. I was so excited to color it!

I colored this gorgeous stamp called Lady in Love (G189) with Copics.  I debated about what color to make her dress and blue just seemed soft and romantic :)  I decided to leave off a sentiment and let the image do all the talking. I wanted a really ornate background for her so I used my Silhouette to cut an intricate background layer. I added some machine sewing and added a bit of the same blue in her dress to my flower embellishment. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Friday Fun

Hello Friends!

Katy here and there are so many exciting things going on today!  First let me wish all of our U.S. fans a Happy July 4th!

Second, we are changing how we do the tutorials.  There will be a new tutorial at the beginning of each month from a different Design Team Member.

So today it is my turn to show you a tutorial-how to make dryer sheet flowers.  First let me show you my card using Great Impressions Stamps:

The butterfly stamp that I used has three butterflies so I fussy cut the one I wanted and glued down his body.  This left the wings to kind of bend upwards to make him look like he's fluttering.

The sentiment is from the Tags stamp which I also cut out.  I used a tooth pick that I added some extra brown ink for the flag.

The Simple Elegance stamp is the red embossed swirls on the paper with the text.  This is one of my favorite stamps!

The Rose stamp is the text in the background.  I embossed the stamp image with clear embossing powder and heat set it.  Then I used distress inks to bring out the text.

Now it's time to make the flower!

Supplies:  2 or more used dryer sheets
Flower Die Cut (I don't know if the framelets will cut through the dryer sheet)
Color mist-I used Dylusions and Heidi Swapp
                Brad
                Button for middle
                Crop-a-dile

The flower is made out of a couple of used dryer sheets and this die cut.  Finally, laundry is fun!  OK maybe not! ;)  If you don't have a die cut machine you can cut and layer circles for a different looking flower.

After your flowers are cut, mist them.  I used a blue and a red.  Let the mist dry.

I have a spray box that I use, but I always put tissue paper, cardstock, or wax paper underneath so it catches the overflow.  Then you have cool misted paper for another project.

Then I stack the flower on top of each other until I like my flower.  I used a Crop-a-dile to make the hole through all of the layers and put on the brad.  This way I could move my flower around to figure out where I like it.  Then I realized I didn't like the brad so I glued a button on top of the brad.  The brad can be optional.

Here's a close up of my card.

Thank you for stopping by!  And remember for more cool tutorials check us out on Pinterest and for more daily inspiration check out our Facebook Page!

Oh what a beautiful day!

Hi, friends!  It's time for another post using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have a fun sky scene that I created as an almost one layer card!

Here's my card~
More details on my personal blog HERE.

I just LOVE this new image!!!  The cloud stamp works perfectly with the balloon and the sentiment is the perfect font, too!  The balloon and sentiment are some of the NEWEST IMAGES available HERE in the Great Impression store!  I paper pieced the balloon and then added some sequins and liquid pearls to accent different parts of it.  I hope you like it as much as I do!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at this card!  Hop over to play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Wonderful Wednesday with Joni

Today I tried coloring on craft cardstock.
I had to let it dry before I was satisfied with the results.
I used my Wink of Stella Glitter white to color the F583 Foxy.
I stamped the sentiment C466 What Does with brown ink. I used some oval dies to frame my images.
