Girls night?

I am intrigued by this movie. Does anyone want to make a girls night out this next week to check it out? Has anyone heard anything good or bad about it? I just LOVE James McAvoy and he alone might be a good enough reason to see this film. Catherine O'Hara is also in it and she is a hilarious actor! I don't think I've seen Christina Ricci in anything since "Now and Then" so I am a little curious about her role in this film as well. Let me know because I am very ready for another dinner and a movie night with the ladies!

Heat Wave!!

During my daily work out this morning, Rachelle and Daphne came to join us on a walk around Ladera. We nearly passed out from the heat....ok, so maybe that was just me being very out of shape...We decided to take advantage of this gorgeous warm weather (again!) so we headed over to the pool with sandwiches and sunscreen in hand. Brittany came to join us and it turned out to be such a great day! Naomi's favorite thing in the world (next to dad getting home from work) would be the water. She is such a little fish. I was surprised at how little the unheated pool affected her love of the water. It was very cold, but she just squealed, kicked, splashed and laughed her way around the pool! This summer is going to be so fun with my little fish.

Baby Lilley

I wanted to welcome our cute new niece into the family, baby Lilley! She came into this world on February 21st at 4 a.m. weighing in at 4 pounds 10 ounces and 18 inches long! Lilley is a tiny little thing! I know it was a hard one for Lacey, so we are glad that both baby and mama are healthy and happy. We can't wait to give that little baby some kisses and hugs next time we make a trip to Idaho.

Almost!

Come on Naomi, crawl! Use those little legs and arms! She is still content with the booty scoot.

If getting healthy isn't enough motivation to drop pounds.......

....then this adorable high waisted denim piece of hotness should be....

The adorable Grey Ant Braid Jean on Shopbop.com, but unless you want to be set back $330, these are not for you. Who am I, an heiress? Who can spend that on one pair of jeans?

Little friends are cute

Rainy and cold with nothing to do = cute little play date surrounded by toys.

Daphne was all about toys being placed directly in the mouth and Naomi was all about taking those toys away from Daphne and doing the same thing. I never would have thought that little ones could be this entertaining! Before we knew it, Rachelle and I were holding our sleeping girls and getting some relaxing time in. They are just the cutest little friends!

Get your fix here

"Headlines don't sell papes, newsies sell papes."

Newsies was on T.V. the other day and I was in heaven, of course! Luckily I recorded it because Naomi LOVES the beginning song "Carrying the banner" and I've been rewinding it all morning. It looks like she takes after her mama in some areas! Here is some sweet goodness for all you peeps that miss this amazing and quality motion picture like I did! This one is for you Meka-choo:

Another beautiful Sunday

Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having here in southern California. Tim and Niccole invited us to take a walk on the beach in Laguna by his parent's house. It was gorgeous of course! The tide was low, so we walked along the rocks and put our feet in the cold ocean water. Naomi loved every second of it. She also had her first taste of sand and wasn't quite sure about it. There was no head dive, but she did try and eat a couple fists full. I am just prepping her for the summer! We are so excited to spend the days basking at the beach. We don't go enough for how close we live. I don't want to move away someday and regret not getting my beach time in while we could! Thanks to the Johnsons for such a fun (though short) afternoon at the beach.

I heart February 14th

Naomi has had some sort of flu (again!!!) for the last few days. Poor thing! She has been so good even though she has had a hard time keeping her food down. It seems she was feeling a little better today, only throwing up once. I actually put clothes on both of us today for a few hours! I've taken more showers and done more laundry in the last couple days than I normally do in a month....ok, maybe not a month! Today we took some fun pictures together for Valentine's Day, but she was not going to smile for anything.

Luke sent some adorable Tulips today and came home with loads of candy and goodies for the family! Naomi made out with a couple outfits from my mom and I got her new pink Splendid jammies. It's like Christmas in February! Just when I think Luke couldn't be a better hubby, he is currently doing the dishes after our lovely steak dinner while I post this blog! We are about to put in a movie and relax with our Valentines treats. Yum! I guess I can cheat tonight....how can I say no to dark Lindor truffles?

Hope all you lovers have a Happy Valentine's Day! Besos.

Shake it

Naomi's new thing is shaking her head. It's too funny. If I shake my head, she copies me....and so it has begun! I captured a little of it on camera though she was getting a little tired. It is usually combined with the cutest belly laugh ever, but of course she was not having that tonight! Sorry for my annoying screeching in the background!
