It has been interesting to me to hear how so many have reacted to the "I'm a Mormon" media blitz, here in AZ. I am greatful for inspired leaders, who are trying to teach facts about mormons to all who are interested. I think it is such a great thing, to show people that Mormons are just ordinary people, who make mistakes, and live regular lives, but are trying to make life better, for themselves, and those around them, by following Jesus' teachings. I found it a huge blessing to have the opportunity to create my own profile, because as I asked myself the question, "Why am I mormon", I learned some new things about myself, I had never thought of before. My testimony has been strengthened, as I stand firmly and say, "I too, am a Mormon".

Little Piano Men
Tyler and Justin have been taking piano from their Grandma. She is one of the best music teachers in the valley, and we get lessons for free!!!!
We are so grateful!!!!
Both the boys worked hard on learning their piano pieces. Justin is a pretty new student, so he did some very basic songs. Tyler was very excited to learn the Star Wars theme song! We heard it all day every day for weeks before, and after the recital, because he loved to play it so much. Both the boys did a great job!
Thanks Grandma!!

1st Pinewood Derby
Tyler had just missed the Pinewood Derby last year, so he was so excited to finally build a car and race! These type of crafty projects are right up Tyler's alley. He puts so much thought into the design and painting. Siblings were also allowed, this year, to join in and make cars, so we let Justin design and paint a car too! Jim really worked hard on them. It was really nice that they build them in COL, so he could borrow all of Grandpa's tools. They turned out great, and the kids loved racing them!
No winners, but some really good sports!

I hate computer problems
So I have been afraid to download any pics, in case we loose them. Thus, no blogging has been happening.
We have been very busy though. Baseball season and school ended, so summer began, and the kids and I have been playing all over the valley!
We also bought a Kinect, so that we can stay active inside, while trapped by the summer heat. So fun!
As always, the kids have read an entire library of books.
Both Justin and Caleb had birthdays!
And we spent 3 whole weeks in Colorado, 20 minutes from Rocky Mountain National park. We did lots of hiking, fishing, picnicking, and the kids earned their Jr Ranger badge!
I promise pictures and more details are to come!!

Poor kid with a very fat lip!
Justin tripped and landed directly on his face the night Aunt Perla and Uncle Marc got married. We were worried he broke his nose, because of a very bad bleed, but when he went to bed he seemed well enough. He woke up the next morning looking like this:
He was swollen pretty bad for most of the week. Poor guy.
We think he looks a little like a "Who" from Dr. Seuss. Hee, hee.

4th of July in Denver COL
We got to go the the reservoir on the morning of the 4th, and play in their beach. It was so much fun!!! It was everything in CAL, but the salt and waves. It still made me giddy like a kid, just like I do at the CAL beaches. Jim wrestled in the water with the kids a whole bunch (which they LOVED!), while I played with the younger ones on the beach and visited with Christi. Can't wait to do it again!
Justin loves to sunbathe. He is such a silly kid.
Of course we made our share of sandcastles.
Logan loved this water toy so much that I went out and bought one for him when we got back up to Granby, COL, so he could play with it on the lake beach up there.
A big success!
Building a classic water trench.
Good work boys.
Caleb stayed on the sand most of the time, and was happy playing in the sand.
But he didn't stay dry the whole time.
For the fireworks we drove to a golf course (perfect location!), and picnicked with the family and friends. We played a little baseball, had fun with glow sticks, and ate to our hearts content. The fireworks show was amazing as always.
