white plains beach

My two favorite things about Hawaii so far are
spending the afternoon at the beach
and getting shaved ice...with ice cream.
We got to do both on Saturday.

We went to White Plains Beach.

We just hung out and enjoyed the sun for a while.

She sure loves being outside lately.
We are trying to get her used to the sound of the waves and
the water. She's doing better than the first few times.
I took a bunch of daddy daughter pictures.
My favorite thing to do at the beach is watch these two.

st. patrick's day

When I was a kid my mom would make green everything
on St. Patrick's Day. It was kind of gross,
(green eggs, milk, pancakes, you name it and it was green).
We loved it.
I didn't do that this year. I'm sure I will when Madeline
gets old enough to care about stuff like that.
This year we stuck with corned beef and cabbage.
I did make little hats and if you were eating you
had to wear a hat.
Madeline wasn't so sure about the hat....

but she loooved the corned beef.

This is the smile Daddy gets when he comes home....look at
all of those teeth!

little daredevil

"Hey Mom! Look what I can do!"

"Concentrate, concentrate, careful now..."

"This is awesome. No, I am awesome!"

"I could surf no problem, what's the big deal?"

"Cross-legged"

"Next I need to work on no hands."

"What are you looking at? It's all in a days work."

10 months old

Ahhh! I'm ten months old already!
Yep, our baby is growing up. We have come to the sad
realization that she is no longer a baby.
We have a toddler on our hands.
At ten months Madeline weighs 17 lbs 8 oz and is a
whopping 29 inches long.
The biggest news this month is that our baby is
WALKING!!! She has been walking for a few weeks
but really has it down now. She goes where she
wants to and is getting faster.

She always wants to carry things with her when she goes,
but the funny thing is that she always wants
to carry two things in the same hand.
It's really funny to watch her try and do it because
sometimes the "things" are just too big
for her little hands to hold two of them.

It's even more funny when she gets frustrated because
she can't hold them and starts to whine. Most of the time
she is successful. The "things" range anywhere
from her blocks to measuring cups to markers.

She has gotten too curious for her own good.
Look at that face! She knew she had gotten
herself into a mess that she couldn't get herself out of.
(which worked out nicely so mom could get a picture..hee hee)

She has a sudden attachment to "piggy." She
drags little piggy around with her everywhere.
She knows his name and will go and get him if you ask
her where piggy is.

She pretty much refuses to eat anything that she
can't feed to herself. This makes the puppies very happy.
She loves food. She will eat everything. Her
current favorites are yogurt and anything bread.

She finally got her first cell phone.
(no, just kidding)
She certainly thinks it belongs to her.

She got her first "real" illness. High fever,
snotty nose, cough and all.
We had to use an oxygen type thing on her
for a few days...she wasn't happy about that one!

She's still cute as ever

She has suddenly started to kiss
pretty much everything....

She still loves her puppies and will
cuddle with them on occasion.

Her little tuft of hair is growing like a weed.
She has curls all over the top of that head.

She loves to play and is ALWAYS on the go.
She really never sits still. She still loves to
dance and will do it whenever she hears music.

She now has six teeth, four on the top and two
on the bottom.
(this picture kills me)

She's still a little sweetheart. We can't believe how
much she is changing and growing. I have to say it gets
more and more fun to be a mom as she gets older.
We love watching her learn and interact with people
and things. It's really the best thing ever.
