What a weekend!

We had a good day Saturday, after an early start, we managed to get the carpet layed in the bedroom, so at least that is looking good! Just need the painting done now, and the flat pack drawes to be made, (which I am hopefully going to do this afternoon! OMG!!!)
Painting has now been put off until next Sunday, as we are out all day Saturday (will it ever get done!!!) fingers crossed by this time next Monday it should all be finished! so please send positive vibes, and keep your fingers crossed it all goes to plan!

Sunday was another hot, sticky day here again, (I don't like this weather at all!!) another early start, this time to sort the taps out in the bathroom! (but that is another long story!!)
Our Daughter in Law called with our Granddaughters Megan, and Grace, they brought Amelia (their friend) with them too, so we had a lovely hour with them, no crafting was done today, and no Sunday lunch to do either! lol
We decided to have a sit in the garden, so up went the brolly, out went the chairs, and out Hubby, and myself went too! It was lovely sitting in the shade, as a nice breeze was blowing, the birds were busy back, and forth to the seed, fat ball, nuts, and bird bath, even the Squirrel made a short visit to collect some nuts! all was lovely, but then............................
all of a sudden, it went very quiet, not a bird to be seen, then..................whoosh!!! a Sparrow Hawk chasing another bird (too quick to see what it was!) came over the fence..........under the brolly..........just missing me by inches!! ( I can still hear the whoosh!! lol) then all went quiet again!!
An hour or so later the birdies were all back in the garden, as if nothing had happend! that was until.................Hubby decided to go indoors.................OMG!!! the bird that the Sparrow hawk was chasing was in our Lounge!!! I remember hearing a clipping noise, as if one of the birds had touched the brolly or something as they flew past (but it was so quick!) it must of gone between the vertical blinds and into our house!
Hubby came out to tell me (OMG what could I do!! ) he opened all the windows, and doors wide, but when he went back into the lounge it was nowhere to be seen, except for two calling cards it left, one on my white wall, the other on my TV stand! yuk yuk yuk!
I spent the next few hours, looking round me every time I went in the lounge lol
I just hope it got out safely, and is now sat in it's nest...........recovering!
(and not lying behind my furniture anywhere.........)

One way or another we had a busy weekend!!! lol

What we got up to on Sunday!

Our Granddaughter Megan, with her Decoupaged Cottage Picture, she made for her Mum, she made a really good job of it too! Her Mum was thrilled to bits with it, and couldnt believe she did it all by herself! I did help her a little with the frame, but besides that it was all her own work!

Grace with her T-Shirt she painted, and a lovely job she made of it, with just a bit of help to start her off, but the rest was done all by herself.

We have two very talented Granddaughters! (they are not bad at card making either! lol see Here)

It's been a busy week!

I havent managed to up date my Blog for a while, every time I start, something always crops up!
but here I am now, so here goes.......
I have been busy with all my PSP Sheets, and Tutorials, I have done so much over the last two weeks I have lost count of how many sheets I have done! lol but I think I now have enough new stuff to put on my PSP Website for the rest of the year! lol
I have already made a start on new sheets for Christmas, some I havent tried before, so fingers crossed that peeps will like them.
I have had some lovely emails, and PM's thanking me for the Tutorials, they seem to of been quiet popular, I have already seen some sheets on the Forum that have been made using them.
I did give myself the day off last Friday to try and catch up, but still got nowhere fast! lol

On the home front we are decorating, or should I say updating our bedroom! OMG!!! took me 3 days to empty the wardrobes, and all the draws! We are at the stage now where all we have in the room is the bed, and empty wardrobes (you cant move in the spare room now! lol)
The new carpet has arrived, and the new chest's of drawes, anyone handy with flat packs??
The painting is to be started on Saturday (good job thats all that needs doing!) fingers crossed by Sunday the new carpet should be laid!
The fun will begin then, we get to open the flat packed units! It would be great if Hubby was a handyman! he is fine with the decorating ( was his job for 35yrs!) but show him a flat pack he turns into a "no can do man" lol, so I have the cordless screwdriver, and he supervises me lol
It will all be nice when it is done though, then we can start on the spare bedroom!!

Well that is where, and what I have been doing for the last couple of weeks, today I managed to make some cards, which I will put on a seperate post.
and thats me all up to date at last! lol

I have been Tagged!

I have been Tagged by Greta, and as promised here we go........................

What was I doing 10 years ago.................
I was working in a Florist's Shop, I was the Shop Manager, but as I only had occasional staff, I managed on my own most of the time lol
I loved my job, but after working there for almost 8yrs, I took early retirement when I was 55 yrs old, and love every minute of my retirement.

5 things on Todays to do list...............
and all of them almost done lol
1..I did all my shopping this morning
2..Updated my PSP Website
3..Updated my Blog!!!!
4.. Sat in the garden for an hour
5..Catch up with Greta, and Kath on MSN tonight!

Snacks I enjoy.............
My favourite snacks have to be Rainbow Drops, and Polo Mints, but as I am no longer allowed to enjoy them, I will have to say a very healthy amount of Fruit, with the occasional plain scone, but only once a week for the scone

Things I would do if I was a Millionaire................
Firstly I would make sure all my family were well looked after, then I would buy myself a lovely house somewhere in Scarborough, on a hill top with a beautiful sea view, big enough for anyone who wanted to visit could do so.
I would also give lots to charity, as I think there are so many deserving causes, and I would love to be able to help more than I already do.

Places I have lived...........
This is easy, Manchester all my life, although we have lived in several areas of Manchester, we have Lived in this same house for almost 30yrs, we will only move now, if we do win the Lottery! lol

Saturday already!

Here I am at last, Saturday 5th July already, where has this week gone!
I am sitting here now, and for the next hour I am going to try to update my Blog! (I hope lol)
I have had a busy week (just remind me next time I take a 2 week Holiday, it takes 2 weeks to catch up when you get home hahaha) I don't seem to of stopped since we got back last Saturday!
Today I have been updating my PSP Website, putting the new sheets I have made on there, all of the sheets were made with Photo's I took of my own garden Flowers (only copyright is my own! lol)
If anyone would like to see them my PSP addy is HERE it would be really lovely if anyone who does look could, perhaps leave me a message in my Guestbook, I love to read what others think about the sheets I make.
I had a lovely time at my Great Nephews 21st last night, although for me the music was too loud! guess it's my age lol, but my ears are still ringing with it today! lol

He looked after me very well, even bought me a drink! lol

My Daughter in Law Kim, and Grace with the most beautiful smile! Grace is 6yrs old.I think that is me updated for now, except I have to sort out this Tag thingy or I will have Greta after me, and I did promise I would do it over the weekend! Now where are the rules of this
