Sunny St. George

We were able to spend President's Day weekend visiting my parents and siblings in St. George. It was more fun and warmer than I can even describe. After looking at 3 feet of snow on my front lawn for what has seemed like eternity, seeing grass again was miraculous. Boston played outside everyday we were there, and had a blast doing things like transfering dirt between my Mom's pots out back and picking all the leaves off her shrubs. (sorry Mom!) He went with my parents to see the new little calf that was recently born where my Dad keeps his horse and he had the time of his life playing at this little park where kids can pump water and play in a little water fall that cascades down the rocks. He was soaked and muddy by the time he was done and we had to rush to the Old Navy sale to replace his clothes before going to dinner, but he had so much fun. My parents also let us escape as often as we could. They were always willing to watch Boston and my sister Hayley's little boy Jack. They gave us Parade of Home tickets for Valentine's Day and we loved seeing all the homes and ooing and awwhing and dreaming. Speaking of Valentines, Boston helped me make some this year. He is quite excellent at controlling the glue stick, even if people had a hard time getting them out of the envelopes because of the excess of glue! He loved gobbing on stickers and decals and it was so cute to watch him. Ofcourse the trip to St. George wouldn't have been complete without a shopping trip with my Mom and sis. My mom showed me this super cool dollar store where I actually found kitchen gadgets galore. (Mini spatula's, cool rubber pastry brushes, and neat graters. For those of you who know me, I get super excited over three material things. Kitchen items, abstract art and of course clothes. I was in heaven.) We also checked out Urban Renwal which is a St. George must and hit the Old Navy 40% off sale where Boston was totally hooked up with super cute clothes for summer. My dad also treated us to Samari 21 which is like Tepanyaki and you should have seen Boston shoveling in the noodles and rice!! The only downfall to the trip was JT is still sick and he was hacking the whole time we were there. I don't know if he had as much fun as the rest of us and I felt really bad. He hasn't slept with me in almost three weeks because of this cold and last night was the first night we slept together in a long time. I don't know if it was a great idea though because I kept waking up to what I thought was gun shots, but it was just him coughing. I really hope he gets better soon. Anyway, we can't wait to go back to St. George and we'll be honest, if we ever find an opportunity to move to sunny St. George it's sianara (sp?) to the snowy mess we currently call home.

Cuddle Bug

Boston has been so snuggly lately, which is really unusual for him because he's always been really squirmy since birth. Even at my ultrasound the nurse was like "Wow this kid is all sprawled out and moving everywhere. Some babies are curled up nice and snug, but not this little guy." I think that tells a lot about his personality. For example, he's always been a difficult sleeper. I put him in bed an hour ago and he's still in there talking and blabbing. I know he's exhausted but he has the hardest time shutting it off, Ever! But lately, he has been so sweet. Always putting his head on our shoulders and letting JT or I rub his back. He likes to put his head right up to mine and look into my eyes. He loves to climb in our laps and watch his favorite shows or just sit and color. I love it. I could kiss those cheeks a thousand times and it's so nice to get a little affection back.
Boston is also REALLY into art lately. I swear he spends half his day coloring in one of his coloring books or drawing on his easel. He loves when we join him and he's always pulling our legs to get us to come and color or play.
Boston has also finally taken some interest in Snuggles. Poor Snugs gets so left out these days. Boston has always ignored him for the most part, but lately he wants Snuggles to follow him so he'll find him on the couch and try to push him off to get him to walk around with him. Snuggles will also scratch at his door if Boston is in his room playing and Boston goes right to the door and has me let him in. He always greets him with an "oooooh."
Finally, Boston has this really weird game he likes to play where he puts a blanket or a towel over his head and then tries to walk around. I keep telling him "You need your eyes! If you don't use them you'll bump into things!" But, he usually thinks it's funny when he falls over and this kid is as tough as nails. He gets hurt all the time and rarely fusses much about it. He's a crazy kid, but we sure do love him!
