THD Challenge #6- Mid Challenge Inspiration

Hey friends!  Can you believe that November is half over?!  I sure can't.  Looking forward to some family coming next week and having US Thanksgiving.

Speaking of being thankful, I am glad you are here today so I can tell you that I am thankful for you, each and everyone of you.  This card for the THD Mid Challenge reminder is to help me express that.

I love this sweet card, the image from Newton's Nook is just darling.  I used my copics to color it.  I coupled it with some plaid paper from Target dollar bins... yes folks, Target! I also used some cut die cut leaves and distressed them.  I love the navy blue (SU! Cardstock) with these colors.  My images are stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black.  I added the Neat & Tangled Awesome Die for good measure (wanted to make sure you knew you were awesome...).

As a reminder, here is the challenge pic.  As you can see, I tapped into the plaid, used a critter and used the sketch (more or less). :)

Be sure to head over to the THD blog and see what the rest of the team has cooked up!  Thanks for the visit!

A CAS(e) with Mr. Foot

Hi Friends!  Today's post is an homage to my friend Toni (Frankiehelpscraft) who recently sent me this card:

This card is lovely, clean and filled with things I love (Bigfoot and Coffee).  She knows me oh so well!  I was tickled to get this in the mail.

I loved this so much and the thought of Bigfoot doing every day things, so I decided to CAS(e) this card.  Here is my take on her creation:

Squee!  I love that Bigfoot is waving at Santa.  Lovable Legends is by far one of my fave Lawn Fawn sets, but I have oh so many.  Also featured here are the Ready, Set Snow set and the Hats off to You set, some Simple Stories paper, my new trees from Yvonne Creations and the circle die from Sugar Pea Designs.

I hope you find some fun and lightheartedness in this post.

Sketch Saturday

Hi Friends!

Some exciting news today....  I am joining the Sketch Saturday Team!  Woohoo!  Excited to be able to play with sketches again.

Here is this week's sketch

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor today, so here is my take on the sketch
using one of their awesome digis.

Such a sweet image isn't it.  I love the little Penguins.  I coupled the digi with my Copics and used some various dies from Sugar Pea Designs, Lawn Fawn and Papers from SU! and Doodlebug Designs.  The sentiment is from MFT.

OK, now head on over to the Saturday Sketch blog so you can see my new team mates creations and join in on the fun!

THD Challenge #6

OK, Halloween is behind us and
Thanksgiving and Christmas are in the air.  With that, it is time to get a little rugged (hubba, hubba) and use some holiday themed colors.  Here is The Heart Desires Challenge #6!

OK, how much do you love this inspiration?  So many things you can do.  And it makes me giggle... sawdust is man-glitter...hehe.

Here is my creation:

I really love the sweetness of this card with the manly colors.  I used the  Jen Hadfield Warm and Cozy 6x6 paper as my backdrop on some Chocolate Chip paper.  I then added a doily... loving the combo of feminine and masculine.  I used the Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love Stamps and Dies for my images.  I colored them using my Copics.  In the end, I wanted a little more shine, so I added the sparkly chevrons from Freckled Fawn up near the top.

OK, head on over to the THD and see what the other ladies whipped up and when you are done, get your craft on!  You know the drill, use one of more of the three elements and let us know what you used!

Guest Designer- Inspired by....

I have something fun to share today.  I am a guest designer over at Inspired by All the Little Things!  So tickled to be working with this fabulous DT and fabulous challenge.  So, with out further ado, let's get to it.  Here is the current challenge:

I took some creative liberties with this photo and I hope they don't mind.  I zoned in on the colors, the leaves/fall feel and the cups.   Here is my creation.

This card started with the white cardstock that I had saved that had a negative cut of a polaroid cut out in it.  I thought it would make a fun background, especially with some orange, yellow and green distress inks.  I added some woodgrain paper behind it for more texture.  I then colored and cut out this sweet Mama elephant bunnyand  paper pieced the stripey scarf.  I added the little leaves swirling through the air for an extra touch of fall feel.  Lastly I cut and added the Little Yellow Bicycle Hello die.

Such an appropriate card for today as it is going to be rainy fall weather.  I'd like to cuddle up and stay warm with a nice cup of cocoa. :)

A big thanks to the Ladies over at Inspired by all the Little Things for having me, so fun to join in. Head on over and see what else this talented crew has in store.

Thanks for stopping!
