Over the river...

...and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go!  Dah-dah-da, I can't remember the rest. :)

Typically we do go to my Mother's (S' Grandma's) for Christmas.  This year, however, we are staying home to celebrate in our new house!  But in honor of our typical venture through the Cascades I made this card and had so much fun doing it!

This is pretty much all lawn fawn.  The mountain dies, are from LF Stitched Mountain Borders, I used with a light blue and darked the closer ones with a little distress ink, they really stand out with the white caps.  The hill may be from Pretty Pink Posh.  The road was made from the river stamp in LF Dad + Me, I added some extra black paper to make it into a longer road.  The card, gift and trees are from the Happy Trails stamp set.  I really love how this turned out and hope that whomever gets it (probably Grandma) does too.

THD Challenge #7

Are you ready for another Challenge over at The Heart Desires?  I promise you are going to want to play in this one as the inspiration is so fabulous!

To leave some suspense, I will make you head over to THD to see the challenge photo... but I'll show you what I made....

I made this using a hole host of fun products.  The highlights include
Concord & 9th- Oh Christmas Tree stamp set and Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Picked Raspberry.  Additionally, I used the Lawn Fawn Snow Globe die, Memory Box background die and Impression Obsession deer die.  I found some fun snowflake bauble that I am sure my father got me several years back (see hoarding does pay off! WINK!)

Please head on over to THD to see the inspiration photo and join us for the fun!

Birthday Buddies- Happy Birthday Lisa!

Today is a fun day for a Birthday Buddies Blog Hop don't you think?   I do!  Big Happy Birthday to Lisa

I made this card for Lisa using some fun dies from Savvy- flowers and jar.  I really, really, really love the purple thistle, so pretty.  I wrapped a little ribbon around and put it over this journal card from Fancy Pants.  All of it is placed over this lovely embossing folder.

OK, now here is the hop list, be sure to stop by all the ladies blogs and end at Lisa's so you can wish her a fabulous day!

Merry Christmoose

It snowed today, not much, but still was the perfect weather for getting the holiday decor out and up. So fun and now everything is festive.  I also spent some of the weekend getting my Christmas cards made and am almost done- Woohoo!

While making cards I wanted to make one using the Reverse Confetti Sketch.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my creation:

So much fun using this Merry Christmoose set.  This DP from Pebbles is perfect with the tree dies from Avery Elle.  I also used the circle die from Sugar Peas, outline from Avery Elle and sentiments from Hero Arts.

Thanks for visiting and have an excellent week!

Trees!

Well US Thanksgiving came and went with the blink of an eye!  We enjoyed eating and much merriment.  On to the next as we promptly went out to get our Christmas tree!  Woohoo.  Here are a few photos from our adventure!

We enjoyed ourselves tremendously!

And this inspired me to share this card I made recently using some MFT, Poppy Stamps and Lawn Fawn stamps.  I also used my Copics and Ranger inks.

So fun to make!

Sketch Saturday- Laughing all the Way

Howdy!  Who's ready to get jammin' with some Christmas Carols?!  ME!  I love them, as soon as Thanksgiving is over, I am ready!

That is what I was thinking of when I made this card for Sketch Saturday this week.

So fun, so versatile!  Here is my creation:

I used a woodmount stamp that I have had for a LOOONNNG time for this card.  I inked up the image and the colored it with my Copics.  I used paper from my new Carta Bella Christmas Delivery Collection, love it.  Love the black, non-traditional but fun.  I have a brand new Season's Greetings die that I cut using foam.  It is a bit hard to see in this pic, but I still like it.  Lastly, some green pearls from Simon Says Stamp.

So, are you going to join the fun this week?  I sure hope so!
