A Jolly Hello {MFTWSC199}

Well, hello! Happy Monday - right? I had some time in the studio over the weekend - soccer is coming to an end, and then the Broncos played on Thursday night, so on Sunday I used the rest of the NFL as background noise while I stamped. I've been itching to play along in this week's sketch challenge from My Favorite Things.  You can see the sketch here.

I cut out the images from Christmas Cuteness with the matching Die-namics and then lightly colored the snowman with a few Copic markers, then paper pieced the little Christmas tree.  I added an assortment of rhinestones for the ornaments and colored the star up top.  I stamped the sentiment on a Sentiment Strips 2 Die-namics and then layered the images over the top.  Such a fun sketch!  I hope you'll play along too.

Here are the products I used on my card today:

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 242

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC242 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

I guess it's time to start thinking about Christmas cards, wow!  I picked up some new items from My Favorite Things and some old patterned paper and made a quick card.  I love this peek-a-boo tree!

I cut out a piece of Smooth White card stock with the largest Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics and then cut out the Christmas Tree Cutout Die-namics (free this month!) in the center.  The ornament paper was so perfect for the tree, so I let it do all the talking.  I added a little JOY banner with a Razzle Berry button in the corner.

That's it for me, but the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have a lot more for you to see.  Hop on over and be inspired:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy BIRTHDAY

Hello and good morning!  I've been on a stamping roll lately and hopefully the creativity will keep flowing.  I miss posting cards for you on a regular basis, so it's nice to get back into the creative swing of things.  I have a card using a fun die cut technique using strips of paper to fill the image.  I attached 1/4" strips of card stock directly next to each other on a sheet of computer paper, and then cut it with the Happy Die-namics, giving me this really fun and happy stripy sentiment.  I cut out the die again in some Grout Gray card stock and then laid the colored sentiment right inside the negative die cut image.  Then I could stamp the 'birthday' right over the top of it all.  You should give this technique a try too!  I adore the look and I'll have to remember to do this again.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wish BIG {MFTWSC198}

Hello there!  I'm back with a card for My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge - MFTWSC198. I'm still on a birthday kick and used some bright and happy colors for this one. The striped paper in the background is from the School Daze paper pack by My Mind's Eye. It's an OLD one. I layered a piece of Sour Apple card stock and stamped along the diagonal in Sour Apple ink.  The sentiment is stamped using selective stamping and then cut out with a Stitched Circle STAX die.

That's it for now - here are the supplies I used:
