Take That - Progress Tour 2011

Hi everyone! Thanks for all your lovely comments about my last card and my exam and work experience. My exam went quite well - I was a bit nervous about it because I didn't feel that prepared, but thankfully it was better than I thought and I managed to finish it too.

I've really, really enjoyed my work experience this week, it's been brilliant!

Anyway, I'm back with some photos from the Take That concert I went to in Manchester nearly two weeks ago. I had an amazing time, it was fantastic!

Take That were supported by The Pet Shop Boys, who came on first.

First of all, Take That came out as a four, to do a couple of songs from when they first reformed without Robbie. Afterwards, Robbie came out and did a few of his songs, he was great!

The sets were amazing! After Robbie had finished, all five members came out together!

There were loads of fireworks and displays!

Howard (on the left!)

Jason (on the left!)

The big robot-man was a bit temperamental - I think they had trouble getting down off his hands afterwards!

Singing 'Kidz'

You can just make out the outline of all five band members in lights on the five blue panels, from their album cover!

It was such a fantastic show!

All five members!

Even though sometimes we were quite far away, we still had a great view, because they sometimes came out onto the runway coming out of the middle of the stage.

Lots of confetti!

Sorry the quality of the pictures aren't that great. My camera doesn't take very good photos at night or from long distances, but at least I'll still have lots of memories of it!

Thanks so much for looking and have a lovely weekend!

Have fun if you're going to see Take That too!

Love, Georgia xx

Birthday Card & Katy Perry Concert

Hiya everyone! Sorry for the long post today, you'd better put your feet up, ha ha! I'm back with the other card I made for my mum's birthday last Thursday for my dad to give to her.
Also, last night I went to a Katy Perry Concert at the O2 Apollo Arena in Manchester, with a ticket that I was given from my auntie, uncle and cousins as a Christmas present, which I went to with my cousin, auntie and my auntie's friend. We had an amazing time, it was brilliant!

I've uploaded some pictures from the concert below, but first, here is my card.
I was deciding which image to use, when I saw this Born To Shop stamp in mine and my mum's craft room, which I loved straight away! I think it came free with a magazine, what a great freebie, I'll definitely be using it again!

Materials:
Image: Born To Shop
Sentiment: Printed Off The Computer
Lettering: Unknown (From My Mum's Stash)
Papers: My Mind's Eye
Cardstock: Bazzil
Raffia Lace: Bunny-Zoe's Crafts
Ribbon: From My Stash
Swirl Stamps: Lizzie Ann Designs
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz
Flowers: From My Stash
Brads: From My Stash
Colouring: Polychromatic Pencils
Glitter: Stickles

I'm pleased with how the card turned out, and I love these papers - can you believe they were free in a magazine too? I'm doing well with freebies today, aren't I? :)
I'm entering this card into these challenges:
- Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Mother's Day/Girly Card
- Papertake Weekly Challenge - It's A Mom Thing (Or Just Girly)
I hope my card qualifies for these challenges, as the card isn't from me, but it is for my mum, so I hope that counts.
Here are the pictures from the Katy Perry concert. They aren't that clear, but here is a quick selection!

This was taken near the end, when she sung Hot 'n' Cold, I think.

This was her doing an accoustic cover of another song.

The staging and effects were brilliant! The floating things you can see are bubbles.

During this song, someone else arrived...

Russell Brand, who Katy Perry is married to, appeared in the doorway near where me and my cousin were standing! It was hard to get a picture, but I managed to get a couple from where we were! For those of you reading from abroad, Russell Brand is an English comedian who Katy Perry recently married.

And finally, here is a picture from the beginning of the concert, it was great!

Anyway, sorry about the extra long post and thanks so much for looking and enjoy the rest of your week! :)
Love, Georgia xx
