Yesterday,
Sunday:
Benjamin stayed in Nursery! Yes!(I did have to stay with him/leave a couple of times, telling him I would come back ect. But it worked, and I got to go to blessed RS!)
Benjamin is wearing no diaper at night time... because he has been waking up himself in the wee hours to go potty.a
WE Made it early to a family function.(Might i say, we were the first ones there!) Crazy enough, since we have had 2 kids, We are amazingly on time.... what?!?!? to everything else.... but----Church (we are still working on that one, but I have a feeling that it will be happening so soon) I guess 11am church is still to early.
Have all the meals planned for the week
MOnday:
Vera is growing like crazy! 1 month and she's now at 9 lbs 14 0z. She is 75 % for Height, 50 % weight and head size. (Ok... I know we have some friends whose babies are like off the chart, but this is huge for us peeps whose first baby was always stuck in the 2oth %). She is getting less fussy, and sleeping better.
Successfully managed costco run with two kids... and carried the 8 items I bought up three flights of stairs.... by myself... Gotta love the baby harnesses, My life would not be the same without them. (SHout out to sara J for the idea! I saw that you carried Ezra all over the place like that, and it dawned on me what an awesome idea that was! It has changed my life)
Tuesday
Benjamin start his gymnastic classes. Its funny, when you have kids, everything exciting, wonderful and amazing stems from them. Really though, I love being a parent. You get so excited for your kids to do something new, and whatever makes them happy, make you a million times more happy. Its a hard job, don't get me wrong, but It is an amazing job that makes you want to be better everyday.
And nerd alert.... Mocking Jay comes out today! I have been so excited for this read, for many months now.
Anyway... thats just till wed. But I know this is going to be such an awesome week.... sign up for boot camp, Rob has his friday off this week... ect ect.

Update on the kids
Cute Pictures of the kiddos:
The other day (more like 1.5 weeks ago), while we were in the car, Benjamin reaches out to Vera and said: “baby sister, hold my hand.” And he held her hand all the way to our next destination. It was so sweet.
Vera:
Is such a little chunker now.(What?!?! Did not think that was possible for me to produce a rolly baby. But then again, you never know eh?) She gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks. I am sure she has gained a lot more since her newborn visit. She seems so big now, and is getting really good a lifting her head up to look around.
We affectionately call her "high maintenance." Surprise hey? Since half of my pregnancy with her was a bit to high maintenance for my taste. Oh well.
When she's not sleeping, she's mostly crying, or wants to be rocked or held non-stop. (It was such a different experience with Benjamin-- he was so laid back and very much the opposite).
Rob has the magic touch for putting her to sleep. She is proving to be a daddys girl :) Poor thing, it’s really not her fault at all that she has digestive issues. I just feel so bad for her. She often has this pained look on her face. Hopefully she will grow out of it soon. Last night I was up till 3am with her, trying to get her comfortable. Thankfully I can manage functioning on less than 3 hours of sleep. (Today was actually a good day!)
Despite her fussiness,She is such a sweet little thing and We love having her around.
Having two kids has been a bit of an adjustment, but I feel like things are starting to get into a normal schedule, which I love. Tonight, kids are in bed at 7:30pm, the house is clean, and mommy and daddy have some time to relax. For 6 months our lives were a bit out of wack, so it’s so nice to be getting into a routine. Benjamin loves it, I love it! Rob loves it. We are all happy about it!
I think the hardest thing about a new baby? Is adjusting to functioning on less sleep.Wow you forget what its like not to have a full nights sleep, day after day.
I am slowly adjusting to it, I still feel like my brain moves a million times slower than it use to, and that my multitasking skills in all areas are not quite up to par. Maybe they will return… hopefully soon.
Vera about a week ago
Vera now, its like she grew cheeks over night.
Benjamin:
He is doing so well with his baby sister. He LOVES her. In fact, I worry more that he will love her to death. Whenever he talks to her, he mimics our high baby voice, saying phrases like: “ohhhhhh, baby sister, so nice, so cute!” It’s very endearing.
Whenever she starts crying, Benjamin gets very concerned and tells me, hinting that I need to take care of her asap.
He is very patient with me, when I am taking care of her needs and has not regressed with potty training--- soooo happy about that! He loves the big boy potty too much, and loves to show off.
Benjamin is getting very good at identifying his numbers 1-10, and can (most of the time) count from 1-10 in correct order. He still has a bit of a problem counting objects, but I think it will come.
We are still working on Nursery. He is totally fine when one of us are there, but freaks out when we leave. Its been like this for months, so next week we may just let him cry it out. We will see...
Benjamin loves to dance. Some of his fav songs to dance to are Wheels on the bus and the Old Mc Dondald. He’s so funny when he dances. He gets this serious dance face on—focused eyes and pursed lips, and “dances” in choreographed poses. I don’t know how to explaining it, but its hilarious.
Next week, we are going to start gymnastics for him. We took him to a trial run and he loved it~ we think it will be so good for him!
Benjamin is such a big boy now. Its like over night he has transformed into a little boy! Its amazing, how quickly they grow.
Benjamin LOVES his grandpas. He loved having my dad around!

Grandpa & Grandma come to visit
Two weekends ago, my parents drove down from wichita to visit with us for 2 days. Benjamin loved seeing his grandparents and was very spoiled by them. They took him to ride the train at Hermann Park and brought lots of fun things for Benjamin. Thanks guys!
They also got to meet Vera for the first time.
Ps> can you tell whose parents these are?
I have more pictures, but for some reason... my iphoto is hiding those pictures from me. Anyway, this is what I'll post for now.
