We <3 the BeaCh !!!!!

This afternoon Levi and I went to Waimea Bay. It was relaxing and we actually got a parking spot in the Parking lot!! Which has never happened before. We were happy we didn't have to park up the street on the road and hike down to the beach.
By the way the water is so smooth, I like it...but it's pretty boring out there in the water, we like playing in the big waves.
Their is this huge rock in the water that people jump off ...below is a picture. Levi has been wanting to jump off of it, so I brought our video camera. As I wait for him to climb up the rock I am watching other people jump off and it was cool....until they started doing CRAZY stuff!! Like flips and belly flops and somehow avoiding going into shock by a bad landing...But I guess it's not that high, 25ft or a little more. So I see this Polynesian guy get close to the edge and he wasn't thin...he was round to put it nicely. He just steps off the rock....as he falls..he manages to avoid being scraped by the rock! Now my heart was beating because I thought I was going to get a horrible accident on tape. If your going to jump off a twenty something rock...JUMP for goodness sakes don't hop or walk off. I am glad Levi jumped quick because I couldn't stand watching people anymore they were all too crazy...I am not crazy and I swore I wouldn't jump off the rock but I did. After Levi came out of the water he told me to go and so I was a little hesitant but I went up. I got up to the ledge...and this is what happened.........I swear this was my facial expressesion as I looked at the water...the people jumping in the water and the glances I'd make towards Levi.... He kept motioning me to go but....this was all I could do...
15 Minutes later I jumped and it wasn't scary...I was more scared one of the big Polys would jump on me...because they would just jump one after another and barely get out of each others way. I was the only white girl up there... There was this little boy up there he was walking me through my process of jumping which he didn't do a good job. He pointed to a guy on the high ledge and said "That guy up there just smoked crack and he is doing flips and stuff.." I was like....ha yeah I am sure if I was on crack I'd be jumping off this thing no problem!!! His next method of "help" was "hey just watch me do it!"...then he jumps off jumping jack style and has a tiny splash.... dumb kid. Ha just kidding he was cool. So I jumped and did what I was told blow air out my nose...but that didn't work....tons of salty water went into my nose... I coughed and stuff but then it was over...... I probably won't do it again, but I am glad I did it!

Grades

Levi and I have anxiously been waiting for grades to show and today they did..........

Levi saw his grades and he got 2 A's and a B+ his GPA is 3.7!! He did better than last semester, I am very proud of him. Levi hurried onto my name and I couldn't even look... my eyes were shut and Levi says "STEPH!" AND I didn't know what to think and I opened my eyes and I got all A'S!!! I screamed. Levi was even surprised..I have never in my whole life received all A's. I am so happy, and I am just basking in my 4.0 today. It being my first term in college I think it's ok for me to do that,right? I deserved those grades, I worked hard! This is us...happy with our grades!

Wipe out

Ok... So did anyone watch this show?? Wipe out? Awesome

My mom texted me and told me to watch it because its hilarious, she said she has never laughed so hard in a long time from a tv show. I didn't believe her but I made sure I would watch a few minutes of it....So I caught most of it. I seriously had sat down for 3 minutes before I was laughing so hard.... I was even home alone, nothing else to have instigated this laughter.

This show is about " Twenty-four contestants struggle through a grueling obstacle course in a bid to win $50,000" basically a show about contestants who risk bodily harm so the viewers can point and laugh. This sounds horrible but I mean they chose to do the show.....and I am laughing and I like it. It's so funny how they show the footage of the contestants and comment on them the entire time. These contestants are so persistent. One of the obstacals they were spun around and were so dizzy they could barely walk and then they had to jump on floaty things in water without submerging completely into the water . If they did fall into the water they had to start all over again and after so many times they had to be spun around AGAIN. haha can you imagine this? It is stupid, but it is really funny. It kinda does look fun, it could be painful but hey I could risk enduring pain once in my life.

We Can Breath!

FINALS ENDED YESTERDAY!!!!!!!! We are so happy! Levi is getting a week off ...kinda He has been working a ton for catering because of all the graduation banquets and such. Yesterday he worked 16 hours!! I am so grateful for all his hard work, it's a good thing he likes his job. It's nice when we both are at the same event, him catering and I working with the food, then we can hang out. We haven't had much time together this week with finals and work. I am back to working full time, I couldn't get the classes I needed to be full time. I'll wait 2 months until fall and get the classes then. We are both proud to announce we both got A's and B's!! We are happy! I am not working as many hours as Levi, so I've had to figure out what to do with myself! I FINALLY started on my wedding album through heritage makers, a digital scrap booking program which is so cool. When I finish my album I'll put a preview on here so you can see it.

We both cannot wait to go home to visit, I fly home in 49 days, on August 8th. Levi will finish his finals and fly up on the 15. We feel like we've been gone forever. We want those couple weeks we are home full of BBQ's, relaxation and overload on family and friends ! We can't wait to be home for a bit :)

22 years ago...

Levi James Vogel was born... 6 lbs 9 oz.... Now look at him all grown up! I love him! Since we went to the water park , Levi wanted a quite relaxing birthday. He sure did relax. He skipped his last class and played halo for a couple hours. I made an Ice cream cake then his mothers recipe for home made Lasagna, which was so good. The ice cream cake turned out really good too, the only tough part was putting it together before it melted! Levi's birthday was so fun and I enjoyed catering to him! He sure did too ;) We had the Blacks over and Rob for dinner, it was fun. Next year it will be nice for the Vogel family to have him home for his 23rd birthday since they haven't shared one with him for 2 years now. We look forward to that too!

Water Park!!

Hot cement, little kids cutting in front of you, wedgies, SCREAMING, tubes, slides, choking on water, swallowing gallons of chlorinated water..........Yes this describes our day at Hawaiian Waters Water park!!!

It was so much fun, we celebrated Levi's birthday, and when I say we I mean Levi, Rob, Todd and Michelle and I! (We missed you Rondos!) We went on the volcano express, the cliff hanger, (which was 6 stories tall free falling speed slide, I can't believe I had the guts to go down it I am usually a wuss, but then again I didn't open my eyes at all, so I am a wuss, but a brave wuss I just screamed like crazy) the shaka, big kahuna........well to make it short we went on everything!

It stinks, I realized theme parks just do not seem so big like they used to. Of course I've grown up but it's kinda sad, and I know there are HUGE them parks but I haven't been to a big one in a long time.

Anyways...so after the park we went to Costco and Walmart for our once a month trip and then on our way home hit up jack in box...kinda gross but it's a guilty pleasure of ours. As we are approaching turtle beach, Levi see's a bunch of turtles basking in the sun so we pulled over and took a few pictures! I was SOOO excited, I had yet to see turtles since we have been here. Apparently a few times we have been at the beach they have swam right by us but I never see them. The turtles were huge. Saturday was such a fun day!

GREEN THUMBS!

So these are pictures of the plants I've planted up at the farm, I really like gardening I can't wait to have my own huge garden. Levi is not excited to help me when that time comes. The top picture (from left to right) is spinach..which is barely starting to grow, you can't even see the little green leafs that have sprouted. Then I have cucumbers! I love cucumbers, I hear they are stingy so hopefully they work out. The very right one is yellow squash, my mom used to have a garden and grew squash and she steamed it and it was sooo good, I can't wait to harvest everything.
This bottom picture is Green onions and cilantro, I planted these because you really can't go wrong with them. I hate buying cilantro at the store because I always waste whatever I don't get around to using. The green onions are nice to have always on hand, they grow so fast too. I am starting them out in starter pots because the ground is like clay here, but I plan on clearing out land up there and transferring the plants in the ground once they are more mature, it's tough work to clear land though....not looking forward to it.
Every couple days I drag Levi up there to check them out, today he told me he was proud of me, he said he isn't patient enough to do this kind of stuff! He is sweet

Technically I did...the day after I met him my friend Melyssa and I wanted to invite people over to swim but Levi couldn't come...Then Levi asked me out on a formal date on July 17th 2008 at Black Angus...delish. Before this formal date he invited me over or a sunday dinner then we went to singles ward FHE thing. It all moved so fast! :D

19. Who proposed? Levi of course he refused to wait any longer than he had...which wasn't long. He is adorable!

21. Who is more sensitive? We both aren't very sensitive...kinda strange. We are always joking around ALL the time it is so much fun!! I've never had so much fun with someone

Great Movie!

Levi and I watched this movie yesterday, we figured it would be a good Sunday movie, and we both had never seen it before. We are big fans of Shia Labeouf, it seems like everything movie he is in is so good, especially transformers. Maybe a lot of people have seen this already and we are just way behind which is probably the case, we know it's been out for 3 years now.....but anyways watch it if you haven't! Great flick!

Birthday Party!

On Saturday Levi and I were invited to Keipo's birthday party! This baby is my favorite Cambodian baby! He turned 1, the party was so cute, of course he had no clue what was going on but o well. The picture with Keipo is with his dad Sam and Rob Heintz, who is from Bonney Lake, he is one of Levi's good friends. Rob made an adorable slide show of Keipo, he looks in shock in the picture but he is out of control and is so much fun. I tried to get a picture with him but he started crying.... that's because of his baby amnesia he never can remember me I have to get to know him every time I see him :( I watch him whenever his dad plays basketball and I am watching Levi.


By the way Levi's birthday is a week from today, June 9th!! Woo hoo!!! He will be 22, we are celebrating by going to the water park this weekend with friends!!
