Scrap-a-Palooza Crafting

Hello friends!
Recently, I was at big scrapbooking event in our area,
 called, Scrap-a-Palooza by Scrapbook Generation.
It was 13 hours of non stop scrapping!
Here is my table, where I am working on a mini album.

I got there at 8:00 a.m and the line was already wrapped
around the building!

This is a big event which holds up to 300 people!
Scrapbook Generation also brought a full on site store
with so many cute new paper lines to tempt me with!
There we're also gourmet cupcakes
that were way too tempting and very tasty!

Throughout the day, I also taught a mini class and 2 demos.
Don't look too close, but there I am during my class!

Here is the finished album I created while there.

This album was created using the Messages line
by Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker. It was so fun,
because I was sitting next to
Nikki Sivils while using her paper!

I loved the theme of this paper with it's cute
 phones and typewriters!

I also dyed seam binding with Wild Honey
Distress Ink to coordinate with the paper.

This album has been listed here on ebay.

It was a super fun day, but oh so exhausting!
It took all day Sunday to recover!

Wishing you happiness, Lindsey

Retro Secretary Tag Tutorial

Hello friends!
I purchased October Afternoon's brand new
9 to 5 paper line this week.
It's such a cute retro work/secretary themed line!
I created this tag and thought I would share the tutorial with you!

I started with a kraft colored tag. I purchased the set of 20 kraft
tags by Ranger from Hobby Lobby, you can also find them at most other craft stores. I also picked out the sheet of Secretaries from my paper collection.

I cut out my image and decided how I wanted to place her on the tag.

I then took a white spray mist and spritzed my tag.
If you don't have the spray, you can take white paint, thin it down
with water and flick across the tag with a toothbrush.

Take a 1 x 5 1/2 inch strip of paper (blue houndstooth) and rip the
paper along one side. Adhere to tag. Cut another piece (green stripe)
1 1/2 x 4 1/2 and also rip edge. Adhere to tag.

Cut a scallop or flower shape from patterned paper and adhere to tag.

Take your cut image and adhere using foam adhesive to make it pop!

Then cut a strip of coordinating paper with a border punch and adhere along the bottom of the tag.

Add a sentiment or sticker to the bottom corner of the tag.

Tie a bow through the top of the tag. I used seam binding ribbon that I buy by the roll from Hug Snug (purchased on ebay). I then dyed it with Wild Honey Distress Stain.

I added a stick pin through the foam adhesive
to add a girly touch to the tag.

I glued a small paper rose to the center of my bow.

That's it! Super easy and a great way to use up scraps!
Perfect accent for a card, layout or as a gift tag!

Hope you enjoyed!
Have a bright and happy day, Lindsey

Playtimes Past

Hello friends!
I picked up an older pad of Graphic 45 paper
recently at Hobby Lobby.
It was on clearance, so I couldn't pass it up!
This line was called, Playtimes Past.

So of course when I saw it I thought,
I need to make a mini with this!!

This paper line has a lovely blend of
 children and primitive themed paper.
I Used Weathered Wood Distress Stain to dye
seam binding for my ribbon.

These Prima paper flowers matched perfectly!
I find these flowers match several of G45's paper lines.

I cut black swirls from the Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes die.
I also enjoy using flowers by Recollections from Michaels.
I stock up on the rose style ones when they run a sale.

Have a lovely day, Lindsey

Card and Another Mini

Hello friends!
I teach a class with two other ladies every month,
 at our local scrapbook store.
We each teach a card and tag.
Here is mine:

I created a Mom themed paper bag mini album.

I love this paper! It's called, Tea For Two by Cosmo Cricket.

Cosmo Cricket has always been one of my favorite companies,
because of their vintage styled paper lines!

Their new Element Tag Booklets are so pretty with
the decorative edges and sweet graphics.

Have a lovely day, Lindsey

Heritage Mini Album

Hello friends!

I created this Heritage Memories themed mini album
a couple weeks ago and wanted to share it with you.

I just love this paper line.
It's called Documented by Simple Stories.

I added some fun vintage style roses that I found
at Hobby Lobby and cut leaves from black cardstock
to give the book a more antique feel.

For the ribbon, I used Hug Snug brand seam binding,
that I dyed with Scattered Straw Distress Stain.

I picked up a fun new deep edge punch at Joann's
recently that has a lovely lace detail.

Have a lovely day, Lindsey

Baby Mini Book

Hello friends!
I fell in love when I spotted this new paper line last month.
It's called, Little Darlings, by Graphic 45.

This is my second mini album using this sweet paper!

I picked up this lovely cream and pink lace ribbon at Archivers.

This paper line is so fun to work with. Their are lots of sweet little images
to cut out and layer on the pages.

One of my favorite border punches that I use on almost every page
is the Eyelet Lace punch by Martha Stewart.

Wishing you a beautiful day, Lindsey

Neopolitan Love

Hello friends!
I recently picked up this fun, bright paper line called Neapolitan,
by American Crafts.

I loved the patterns of this line and created a paper bag album.
On the cover, I used a fun new doily shaped Sizzix die that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

I thought this was a very versatile line that would be perfect for scrapping parties or everyday life.

The line also had a fun camera and Polaroid feel too it!

One of my favorite sheets was the strawberry pattern!

Wishing you happiness, Lindsey
